After two weeks of not hearing from them, I called and they said it had just arrived. The next appointment available for installation was a week out. They said it typically takes 90 minutes to install, so I decided to wait while it was installed. It took 4 hours. The mechanic who installed it apologized for the delay, and said it took longer because the schematic he had did not match the vehicle. The next day we made a 7 hour trip, and then returned the following day. We heard a rattle coming from the back of the car, so when I got home I looked under the bumper and found quite a mess. The rattle was due to the wheel-well and rear bumper cover not being reconnected. The wiring was very sloppy, with wire ties not trimmed, poor crimps and the wires hanging down without being attached to pre-existing wires. I went back to Brad's the next morning so they could see the poor workmanship and correct the problems, which they took care of in about 5 minutes. I asked to speak with the manager and suggested that I should be compensated for all of my time and trouble. The total bill for the hitch, wiring and installation was $775. The manager offered a $45 refund of the amount that was overcharged due to a error she found on the Curt website which incorrectly stated the retail price. If I had not had trouble and complained, I would have paid $45 too much, not to mention the very long install time and aggravation. At this point I researched the price of the hitch available from reliable resellers such as Tractor Supply, UHaul and others who all listed the delivered retail price of the hitch for $145 less than what Brad's charged me after the $45 refund. The installation of the hitch was $110, and the installation of the wiring was $135. Buyer beware, do your research first!

By luck we pulled in here, to inspect our car and get off the road. They were closed but by chance a gentleman was doing inventory or some extra work. He came out to see if we needed any help. He could have stayed inside we would have never known he was there. We knew the facility was closed, we just pulled in to get off the road. This good Samaritan came to our rescue and boy was it cold outside. Thanks for your help!!! We would have been stranded forever because we didn't have a spare tire. You guys are the best.

Julie & her husband Ken is so nice and super professional! I'm getting a couple of major things…read moredone and some minor things as well. My exhaust was the first thing I've had done and I'm scheduled to get my struts and breaks fixed a little later! I just want to start off with how much they are working with me to get these things done. I'm not rich at all and if I had a stable job I would have loved to take them up on there offer with the credit options. But luckily, they know how to prioritize what needs fixing and scheduled me out for when I'll have the money to have those things fixed. Secondly, I want to point out how fast they got the job done! Julie had told me to bring it in so that they could diagnose the problem for me and that they could schedule me next week if I decided to get it fixed with them. Well, sure enough I bought it in on Friday morning, that same morning they were able to tell me what was wrong and the same day they ordered the parts and got it fixed! I literally got my car back at 3pm and genuinely did not expect that! I saw a sign in their shop and it said that they value their time, well I guess they also value everyone else's time too! I don't want to get into the free things that they did for me because I don't want anyone trying to come rip these lovely people off, but I do want to say the things that they did for me, that they had every right to charge me for, has let me know that I'm dealing with some really good people and has made this place my go-to spot! These are good hard working people who respects the customers that comes through their shop, no matter if you have a lot of money or not! The prices are absolutely doable and they don't pressure you if you can't do everything right then in there! Lastly, I just want to point out that I am a single black woman and the reason I bring up my race and gender is because we all know it matters, especially when it comes to mechanics! But Temstad didn't make me feel judged nor taking advantage of whatsoever! They were so welcoming and knowledgeable! Not only did they triple check my car but they explained every decision & priority to me. I really love that they weren't condescending because I don't know a thing about cars. They simply just explained it so I can understand the what and why! Like I said, as long as Temstad is open & will have me, they will now be my go to place!

I would avoid this shop at all costs. A full description of all issues is beyond reasonable length…read morefor a review, overall I found this shop and ownership to be untrustworthy, unknowledgeable, and incredibly dishonest on more than one occasion. got a $900 quote for a driveshaft replacement that turned into a $1400 job after several days of delay and no updates. the job only needing less than a handful of hours was originally estimated to be completed same day, and while delays can happen not only was I not updated of any delay, every time I called for updates after their time estimates had passed I was told the vehicle was actively being worked on which I now find likely to be untrue. within days/weeks of having the repair made my vehicle went to a mechanic for an unrelated issue and was determined immediately with a visual inspection my vehicle needed extensive frame repair. The repairs were so dire the vehicle was immediately deemed unsafe and this second mechanic refused to even examine the vehicle further stating it was beyond atleast reasonable repair. These damages were not only never mentioned to me by pats auto prior to service but i received and entire stack of paperwork outlining damages, repairs and other suggested maintenance work that should be done on my vehicle, including rust protection to the frame!! When confronted with this issue the owner informed me they do frame repairs in house and before issuing my requested refund wanted to take a look at the vehicle in attempt to make said repairs to get the vehicle back on the road for atleast a somewhat reasonable amount of time. After hearing the owners plans and estimated longevity for the frame repairs I consented provided they would be suitable to pass a nys inspection and at this point the owner declined to do any work stating the vehicle was beyond reasonable repair. It's worth mentioning this vehicle was most certainly in very poor condition atleast cosmetically going into the shop, regardless it falls under good faith at the very least to inform a customer of such severe damage it is a major safety concern. Not only was i not informed of these major issues but the initial vehicle inspection report has been altered sometime between my vehicle leaving their shop after refusing to do the work they offered and the writing of this review and photos will be attached. Additionally a refund was offered in exchange for the newly installed part however there was never any discussion or even any indication that in doing so my vehicle would be returned back to its running/driving yet damaged condition it was delivered in and that parts would simply be removed.
