Just had Jeff replace two hot water tanks. Here was great and he was also the best price.

Great service. Jeff and crew addressed a couple of immediate plumbing needs in my new house. Fast, professional service and a great price.

NEVER SKIP THE SEWER INSPECTION WHEN BUYING A NEW HOME! I called The Fair Plumber and they sent out Manny first. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional throughout this ordeal. He found the first section of collapsed pipe quickly, and I was quoted a fair price. As they started to repair, they discovered much more of the pipe was cracked, and there were sinkholes everywhere. The owner, Ron, came over to inspect it himself. We were already stretched thin financially, but Ron worked with us and gave us a great price for the entire job. The rest of the crew came out and within two days, over 100' of pipe was installed and reburied. Our thanks to Ron, John, Manny, Rob, Tyler, Rolando, and Johnny. Honestly, they were all great. These guys know their sh*t and how to lay pipe. I will recommend the Fair Plumber to all my family and friends.

They did come out quickly, which I appreciated. However, they quoted us $17,000 to replace about 20 feet of piping. Thankfully, a friend encouraged me to get a second opinion. Another company came out within an hour, used a different tool, flushed the line, and resolved the issue for $900. I cannot believe I was almost pressured into paying $17,000 for a problem that was fixed for $900. To make matters worse, the manager was very unpleasant when I told him I wanted to check with another company. Extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend The Fair Plumber.

My children's bathroom shower started leaking and I needed work done not only fast, but I wanted quality and AquaPro came to the rescue again. They replaced the shower valve, had a guy come out to fix the tile and came back to install spout and shower plate and handle 2 days after tile work. They do large excavation repairs for water and sewer as well and have very reasonable prices for all plumbing work; their prices are per job no matter how long it'll take, where others charge an hourly fee and sometimes purposely drag on to complete it. I sent a video of the issue and was quoted an estimate via the app. Alex sent an ETA text and arrived right on time. He confirmed that the issue was as reported. He confirmed the price. Then he got to work. By the time I fed the dog and checked the mail, Alex was finished! It took maybe 20 minutes - max! I paid via Zelle. Alex provided me with a 30-day warranty receipt. And boom! He was off! That's my kinda serviceman. I only wish he was a general handyman. I need some other work done around the house! Lol!

He's always punctual, works to understand exactly what the problem is I am having, and suggests several options for me to choose from on how to fix the problem at a fair price. I would strongly recommend his services in the Lombard area. With the recent boom in Private Equity-owned combination HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical companies in the area, you'll not find a better run locally owned plumber.

The plumber arrived late for appointment. He did not seem very knowledgeable. He kept muttering to…read morehimself and also kept repeating everything he said to me. I had a leaky shower faucet. He looked at the leak and went to Association office of my condo building to request a water shut off to change a cartridge. He was told the shut off would have to be scheduled. He came back to remove cover to see if I had a shut off by the cartridge. I did not. Even though I did not have a shut off he decided to remove the cartridge anyway, but was unable to turn it. Then he said if he was able to remove the cartridge everything would get quite wet because the water wasn't able to be shut off. Then he said he didn't want to get wet and would not try to remove the cartridge. He told me that he would have to return in 3-5 days when the water shut off to my tier could be scheduled. Since he could not remove the cartridge he decided that it was on too tight. He told me I would have to soak rags in vinegar and wrap them around the cartridge and keep rags wet until he returned. He told me if I didn't do this that he might have to go into the wall in the hallway to get to the cartridge. I told them that he would have to get permission from the Association to do something so drastic. The Association told him no. Then before he left he told me to keep the bathroom door closed and leave the ceiling fan on until he returned in 3-5 days. He closed the door. I told him that I had the fan on but wasn't sure it was even working. He did not check the fan and closed the door. When he left, he left muddy boot prints from my bathroom all the way to my front door. When I responded to the ad on Yelp the price to come out was quoted as $69.99 to come out. When he replied to my email he changed the price and said it would be $39.99, but before he left he changed the price again to $69.99. I am a disabled senior citizen dealing with a stranger in my unit and was afraid to question him. I notified his company about the mess he made and they said they had no one to clean it up except him. I told them I did not want him coming back at all because I didn't trust him. I also talked to Association office and we decided he was not competent and that he should not return. I hired a different plumber to come and look at the faucet. They came and found the bathroom door closed and asked me why it was closed. I told them that Preferred Plumbing closed the door. When the door was opened my entire bathroom was dripping water - from the ceiling, down the walls, dripping from the light fixtures and my medicine cabinet. All of the knobs on both my medicine cabinet and my vanity were corroded from the dripping water. The paint was pealing off some of the walls and bubbling up on others. The stain on my medicine cabinet was also peeling off. The floor was so wet I had to put towels down so this plumber could have access to the leaky faucet. Even though I had told Grant that I didn't believe the fan was working, he never checked it before he closed the door. The light fixture was blinking off and on. The new plumber told me that the water probably got into the walls and may have shorted out the wires. Even the floor tiles were coming up. The bathroom door was so distorted from the excessive water it had absorbed it had to be forced to open it all the way. I have been back and forth with Preferred Plumbing explaining the discrepancy in the pricing and the amount of damages Grant caused by closing the door, but they decided that Grant was not at fault. They also refused to adjust the pricing even though I sent them a copy of the email that Grant sent to me quoting the price as $39.99. When the new plumber came he had no problems removing the cartridge even though I had been unable to apply the vinegar soaked rags that Grant insisted were necessary. I would not recomend Grant or Preferred Plumbing to anyone. They changed the pricing and caused a lot of damage to my bathroom. They accepted no responsibility for the price changes Grant made and refused to take responsibility for any of the damages that Grant caused by closing the bathroom door without checking to see if the fan was working even though I told Grant that I did not believe it was working.
