The company then quoted me $2200 as the cost to replace it and reiterated that this did not include the $99 that they already charged me. I then got no less than 10 phone calls saying "please give us a call so we can talk about your situation. Some called more than once. Lakeland Heating and Cooling (Jason) was nothing like that... $1270 flat rate to replace the water heater. Yes, thats how he replied in his email.. as I requested. Tried to tune the furnace anyway to accommodate it, which was actually kind of fun to watch all the different ways it could be done. No other HVAC technician I've ever worked with before has done that. A/C maintenance went great too. First company I've ever hired that didn't try to sell me an entirely new unit just due to a faulty capacitor. Even gave me the model number of the capacitor to replace if I want to save money and do it myself (I'm reasonably handy so it's something I'd probably do). Harmonic Heating and Air Conditioning is the BEST!!! Daniel the service technician opened the unit up and tested everything. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why. He discovered a bare wire that had been chewed (possibly by a mouse) and was touching the metal housing which tripped the circuit breaker. Daniel replaced the wire and the unit is working perfectly. The honesty and integrity of this company is refreshing. We will not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to all our friends.

I was told the diagnostic would cost $149. I asked to be informed of any repairs that had to be done. Technician checked the system and recommended replacing unit. We discussed replacement unit and cost. I was ready to pay deposit. In the next 10 minutes I was told that the model I selected is old and not available. New model costs $1000 more. I asked for a proposal to decide later. Technician told me that the visit costs $396. He said that he fixed air conditioner that was not working. He never told me that he is fixing anything. Through our the visit it looked like he was figuring out the problem. I talked to the owner and we agreed that any repairs that were done will be undone so that I do not have to pay for repairs. Then the technician removed all the wires from the board making both heat and fan unusable. He did not just undo the "repairs", but made entire system unusable including fan and heat which were working before his visit. See the photos to show what was done!

I was floored! Tony was respectful, wore indoor shoe covering per my request, and was quick with the service. And, I think the price was reasonable. I'm the type of customer most companies would want--ready to buy and looking for estimates. My first experience was with their website. I filled out the contact form, but it was clearly broken. No big deal--I found an email address on the site and let them know the form wasn't working. I never received any response. Normally, I would have moved on to another company, but they had good reviews, so I decided to give them another chance. The second time, I called to schedule an estimate for a new system. Before I could even explain what I needed, the woman who answered said, "Can you hold on? I have a customer calling." I was honestly confused and replied, "I am a customer." I was calling because I wanted to buy an entirely new HVAC system. Today, I decided to give them one final opportunity after seeing one of their trucks around town. I was transferred to someone who took my name and phone number but didn't explain what would happen next. When I asked when I should expect a callback, I was told their business hours were 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. I clarified that I wasn't asking for their hours--I was asking how long it typically takes for someone to call back about an estimate. The response was simply, "I don't know." None of these issues are major on their own, but together they paint a picture of a company that doesn't seem interested in earning new business. Three very avoidable experiences were enough for me. I'll gladly take my business elsewhere and spend my money with a company that's more responsive and customer-focused.
