Food was very delicious. The lady that took our order was really nice, great service. The restaurant is in a Bazaar type building with other eateries and shops. I got the seafood baked potato with sausage. The seafood was shrimp. And it had Alfredo sauce on top. It would have been a 10/10 if it had a tiny bit of salt in the sauce. My granddaughter got the Lobster Mac and cheese. It would have been a 10/10 if the noodles were more al dente'. But it was still fabulous. My daughter got the Cajun Seafood Pasta with Sausage. She gave it a 9/10 because shrimp wasn't detailed (I didn't mind) and the noodles could have been more al dente'. Over all, I would definitely recommend JS International. read more

Starting to see a lot of these places where it's not an individual establishment, but a market of many independent buisnesses and restaurants. I went to Revolving kitchen in garland, and there's another place in Oklahoma also just like this one. Revolving kitchen didn't have a indoors but this one and Oklahoma does. It's lots of independent black owned places. I didn't count, but it's like about 20-30 places You'll have to be a bit patient cuz orders are made to order. I got the jerk chicken and ox tails and dirty rice. Be sure to bring a extra bag, if you get the pasta, cuz it leaked out on my car seat. Was really good seasoning on both. When my wife and I took our first bites, we thanked the Lord because this food is absolutely delicious. Staff were helpful and polite. The location inside the Desoto Market is very clean. We visited Saturday around when they opened and they already had quite a few orders going. We waited about 20 min and the food came out piping hot and fresh. Just went to pick up my food. We had the shrimp pasta and a turkey leg stuffed with pasta. All the food was old and cold. The crab was so old it looked like shredded beef. Earlier in the week we went and had the jerk chicken and everything tasted so good. But today we spent $62 for trash. The food is always good I pretty much only order the same meal whenever I go. Service is good you have to be patient and order a day or hours ahead of your scheduled eating time. Listen- we've been back for this pasta a few different times now! It's THAT GOOD! You will wait a good 45-60 minutes to get your meal. So if you're short on time, this may not be your spot! That said, the food always comes out piping hot and fresh, which makes the wait worth while! It is on the pricey side as well, but the portions are HUGE. This spot is a hidden jewel for those of us looking for a vegan meal that is flavorful and fulfilling. I had the vegan ox tails with rice and it was delicious. I also had the banana pudding but it was wayyyy to sweet for me so that was a negative. There is seating inside which is great but the wait for the food was pretty long but well worth the wait. Excellent food with huge portions! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of five is because the turkey leg really wasn't seasoned. The stuffed salmon with dirty rice was excellent. The shrimp and pasta was well seasoned, and the lobster Mac was the star of the show. Highly recommend. It's located inside this shopping center that's filled with booths owned by Black folks. Very polite and courteous. Good customer service. It's not fast food so the wait can be a little long. They modified one of their dishes for me which I thought was nice. I ordered the curry chkn which normally comes with tofu and they were able to substitute falafel. The falafel was excellent and the broçcli was a good add. The Stuffed Turkey Leg with Shrimp Pasta is so good! My son (grown son) was able to share one. It's an expensive $25-$30 for it but nonetheless, it was filling. My only gripe is I'd wish they'd offer opportunities to a la carte a few of their items like Jerk Chicken. I've never tried Jamaican Food before and was reluctant to order anything at full price not sure if I'd like it. The creamy chicken Cajun pasta/creamy shrimp Cajun pasta was delicious. The lobster with ham hocks was spicy and the ham hocks were tough. Should've cooked a little longer tenderness. Lobster with salmon was OK. the sweet tea was too sweet after telling the waitress she didn't offer any substitution so I asked for some ice so that I could water it down. It was more like sugar water because it didn't really taste like tea. the atmosphere is cozy, the POS system is nice, but you have to put in a code that only the waitress knows in order to view your receipt. In that case you should print out a receipt and you should not ask for a tip since you already add gratuity in. the definition of gratuity is a tip that you give to a waiter or waitress. but it is a nice place for you and your family to enjoy a nice quiet meal read more

Some of my favorite food in Dallas. My roommates and I consistently go to the Dallas Farmers Market just to find their stall and order food! If you're not hungry but want a small bite, they have the best beef samosas I have ever had.
