Hi All Well we ate at J's Corner today thinking that reviews on yelp was correct boy was we disappointed. We ordered the pork it was sliced thin and there was a lot of it but it was not fit to eat.it was so tough and dry the fork would not penetrate it.They decided to put bbq sauce on it I guess to cover up how dry and old it was.The problem with bbq sauce is it's not good but they decided that we could not add our own bbq sauce even with bottles of bbq sauce on every table.The French fries frozen and not good.The chips would have been great but they were over salted.The ice tea to sweet taste more like tea surp. The lemon aid was not really lemon aid it was something else maybe crystal lite not good.you have been warned.I should just flushed that 20 down the toilet. read more

I order local as much as I can, I really support mom and pop shops. J's is a great atmosphere for family time, or sitting out on the patio catching a view of downtown Elizabethton. Wether it's BBQ, Burgers or Wings J's has the best in town. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal. read more

Jay's does a Thanksgiving thing where you can bring your Turkey in and they'll smoke it for you. Really makes it easy to concentrate on making side dishes at home and they handle prepping and smoking the Turkey. This was our 3rd year having Jay's smoke our Turkey, and this year was absolutely perfect!! Perfect rub, perfect smoke level, and perfect doneness level. You need to try this. read more

Our family loves J's! I always get the barbecue sandwich with slaw and my husband loves the smoked ham sandwich. The barbecue sandwich has thin-sliced pork and and a tasty sauce. The fries are always crispy. My husband gets the house made potato chips with a sauce he really likes. We've had them cater several events for us and it's always been a huge hit. I've heard they'll even smoke your turkey for Thanksgiving. The last time I went to J's I took my kids to get a treat and I got them the pumpkin milkshake It was delicious. While we were getting out of the car my son slipped and fell in a puddle. He was crying when we went inside. The guys working at the time were so kind and made him laugh. They even gave him a clean towel to dry off with. Now my son loves the place for more than their awesome hotdogs. read more

The best food! Fries and onion rings are amazing. Their grilled cheese sandwich with grilled peppers and onions is delicious. Always friendly and obviously have very high standards. Have eaten here many times in the last 6 years and have NEVER been disappointed. The food is great and the guys are all awesome! The whole menue is solid! read more

I lived in this town for a few years before trying J's Corner. Oh the deliciousness I missed out on. Everything we've eaten from here is wonderful. The food here is good. The service is friendly. Ordered the chicken philly and it tasted like it should just wished it had a little more meat in the sandwich. Chilli cheese fries was more than enough to make two people happy. They use gooey melted cheese not a slice of cheese like so many NE TN places do. My husband's triple burger was nice sized and tasted real good. A little pricey for casual food but worth it for the quality. Definetly worth stopping by for a bite. read more

I was riding my bike on the Tweetsie Trail in Elizabethton and noticed J's during my ride. A few weeks later my wife and I were in town looking at kitchen cabinets at Big John's and we decided to try J's for lunch. It reminded me of a small diner in my home town in Kansas. The owner was friendly and we ordered two cheeseburgers with fries. Cheeseburgers are my litmus test for any eatery. They prepare the food to order and it was great. I got three free refills on my drink. We can't wait to go back and try some other items on the menu. If you are looking for a fancy place with incredibly average food... so to a chain restaurant. read more
