After decided to never walk into the door of the last stylist that I used, I decided to give J's a try, mainly because they are convenient. And besides, I prefer a barber to a Fantastic Sam's type stylist. When I walked in about 4:00p, I noticed 8 barber chairs, but unfortunately only one barber. There were three people ahead of me, but I decided to wait. The wait was reasonable however, so I'm glad I stayed. The lady that cut my hair was very quiet and really didn't have much to say. She did however follow my instructions and gave me an excellent cut. There are short cuts that last longer and those that look perfect out the door. That was the case here. Maybe I'm too old school, but 30 bucks seems like a lot for a short haircut. That would be my only reservation here. A Haircut plus gratuity and you're pushing $40.00. Still, I got a great haircut. I will definitely try them again. Maybe they will be my new barber shop go-to. read more

Prolly the best cut I've gotten on the west side. Price was exceptional. The place had an old school vibe. I was seen to immediately and the cut was really fast. Neck shave, hot towel and a quick shoulder massage. Definitely a recommend. This is going to be my spot for a while I'm sure. Enoch was my Barber. read more

My Husband and 2 sons have been going here for over a year since we moved to the area. It is their our regular spot and they always make them look so fresh and so clean! We usually first right after school and all three are able to get in and out in a decent timeframe as well. Each barber takes their time. Never feel rushed. read more

Not what I wanted or request. Gave it for free my hair cut but I would've paid hundreds for the correct haircut I wanted. Still appreciate it but now I got to hide till my hair grows back now. Barbers name was Carlos. read more

J's Barber Shop - Store - Barbers Near Me - Goodyear, Arizona

They charged me $5 TIP when I only put $3 and they told me haircuts are $27 this place is such a SCAM

Last two times we went they messed up our haircuts. They don't listen to instructions of customers. Then mock at you behind your back by talking Spanish about you. The reason I know is cause they thought we didn't speak Spanish. Barber's aren't that great for the price. read more

I've been here so many times the past 2 years, and it's been alright each time, some decent and some good. But AVOID THE LADY IN THE BACK, the Mexican lady with the blonde hair completely messed up my hair, it's nothing like what I showed her. I'm so pissed off. I saw some reviews talking about her as well but she was the only one available to cut my hair, next time imma wait for the next available person. I just wasted $38 on a horrible haircut read more

Used to go to the Dysart/Indian School location for years. Used to give great service, they've gotten lazy, less service but increase prices. The lady in the front has zero customer service skills, always has an attitude. Makes you wait when there's no one else waiting/no communication like there's not a barber on every corner. Kinda sad because i support small business, like to be loyal, don't usually complain but I've had enough. Looking for new shop. Just feels like they've let it go from what it used to be. Need to bring the effort back, especially for the price. Little things go a long way. read more

Enoch the guy with the anime collection and sneakers cut my hair, always does a good job and hella fast too! Never a long wait here and usually clean spot. So far everyone if gone too can give. Good fade. The older guy usually nics my ears with razor so watch out. Still a clean cut tho. read more

I almost want to gatekeep this barber cause he gives me the best fade I've ever gotten and I have to wait for him every time cause he always has people waiting on him. He's super nice too. Fine, I'll share but just cause hes such a cool dude and I wanna be nice to him. It's Giuseppe. read more

Took my 10 year old son here a couple of weeks ago but it was packed. We decided to try again Friday morning as soon as they opened since it's right by my house. There were a few guys waiting but we were called back right away. There's no check in. It's mostly male barbers, however, there were 2 lady's working as well. The barbers just come to the front to ask who is next and take you back. From what I could tell they have a good following. As more customers came in, they had specific Barbers they were waiting on. My son is very picky about who cuts his hair, so I am always worried when trying out a new stylist or Barber. When we were called back, the young man had a nice cut himself. My son was a bit nervous but gladly, we saw a couple of other young kids getting their hair cuts at the the same time and eased his worries a bit. Over all, It was quick and my son was able to sit still for the most part. we will definitely be going back soon. His hair grows back pretty quick. read more

I was insulted as soon as I walked in, seemingly for being over 50. Never, ever again. Not a good way to get business.

Excellent barbershop. Same owner since 2008 says a lot. They are fast and I always appreciate my haircuts from them. read more

Did a pretty good job on my 2 sons haircuts. Don't accidently forget anything though, my son left his hoodie and we called back first thing next day, and it was gone. read more

I typically don't visit a barber shop, look at the photos I shared and the reason should be pretty obvious. However, I have a wedding to attend and am new to the beard so needed some help getting things cleaned up. J's Barber Shop cleaned me up right nice for a fair price! Don't ignore the other reviews regarding the wait. I arrived 15 minutes after opening and waited about 20 minutes. My visit was worth the short wait and $31. Razor head shave, face shave and beard trim topped off with neck shave and shoulder massage left me feeling like a new man! Thanks! read more

I don't get haircuts very often but when I do I expect a quality haircut for me and my 2 boys but over the last 6 months or so this place has gotten worse with the quality of haircuts. my son went in recently and asked for a 1 fade and a trim of the top and instead of a fade they just gave him a straight one all the way around. on another occassion I too asked for a 1/2 fade and to take 2 inches off the top by the time I washed my hair I noticed that one side of the top of my head was about 2-3 inches longer than the other side. it's really disappointing because this use to be a great place for a haircut but unfortunately I will not be coming back to this establishment. read more

First timer here and we're pretty pleased. Just randomly came here because our son had Baseball practice out here but he desperately needed to cut his mop the shop is clean and organized. Barbers aren't really on the friendly side but the way they cut hair Makes up for it. Don't know who cut my sons hair but I'd say he did a pretty good job. Prices are fair too. Defoe rly won't hesitate to come back if I'm the area. Thank you J! read more

Tried out different Barber Today before the Spring Training games today. I asked to have them clean up my beard and straight razor my head. Nice people; Inconsistent haircuts I like the shop and the people. It can be a little busy, so you know they are doing something well. Prices are reasonable and it's a chance to watch some sports or an action flick while you get a trim. Only knock is that I get a different haircut each time. Same instructions, but depending on the person and the day, I can come out looking quite a bit different. read more

Visiting my parents here in Goodyear this March and needed a cut. Came here and Will cut my hair. Excellent job. Recommend to anyone. They have excellent attention to detail and provide great service. read more

Worst hair cut ever, not worth the money. We've been going here for awhile and the last 3 hair cuts have been horrible but this was the last straw. My son came home all cut up and with razor burns. Manager didn't care at all. Brushed me off because it was a full house in there right before Christmas. I will not be returning. Not to mention they keep raising prices. It started at $13 and now it's $20 in a short amount of time. They never provide receipts which makes me think they are just raising prices on their own. read more

Best haircut ever. The straight razor shave was an added bonus. Do yourselves a favor and check these guys out

Call them to figure out if the do appointment, and someone with a very rude tone answered the phone.... "we don't do appointments, only walk ins"... after that they hang up on me. I was expecting a ... "Do you have any other question?" or a "Thank you for calling J's Barber Shop"... remember... "Treat others how you want to be treated" specially in business. read more

I've been here about 5 times and it's probably the best barber experience I've had, especially when you factor in price. I live in Portland where everywhere is $30 not including tip for a hipster to cut your hair. Here it's $17(?) + tip and you get the hot shaving cream treatment for neck/sideburns plus the shoulder massage. They cut hair as well as any other salon/barbershop I've been to. read more

Not the place it use to be.... Been going here for many years. The place looked dirty and some people were in uniforms and some were not. Very disappointing from where the standards use to be at this place. The haircut itself was okay, but the standard is to receive a hot towel with a short massage. The towel was so cold it actually startled me and the lady didn't have the massage equipment. The prices at this place has been increasing, which I don't have an issue with considering the times, but the quality of service got worse. read more

I've been taking my 3 boys here since 2009. Best place in town! They are always professional and do a fabulous job!

Best haircut I've had in a while. I prefer barber shops over other chain stores. Friendly staff and good service.

Decided to try this place out because it was near by and unfortunately it was a mistake. I could have done the same thing to myself at home for free and I've never cut hair before. Apparently anyone besides the owner is suspect. Letting someone walk out with a messed up cut is just plain wrong. read more

I've been coming to this barber shop for about 5 years now. Some times, you have to wait a little bit but that's understandable because they're are good. They have a lot of clients. Most of the time, they're able to get you in quickly. They have experienced barbers at both of the locations (Goodyear and Litchfield Park). Thank you! read more
