Good experience with Corbin, very knowledgeable on a lot of vehicles. I would buy from him again.

I have had poor experiences with Runde Ford of Manchester previously. As a result, I have not done…read morebusiness with them for several years. i saw a new Lighting in their parking lot today and called to inquire if it was committed to a customer. The sale person indicated that it was not. I inquired as to making a deposit on it and they indicated that they would be glad to do that, but I needed to be aware that they were marking the truck up $10,000 over MSRP. I indicated that Ford Motor Company has warned dealers that this practice would not be acceptable. I indicted that I am a reserve holder and that I would be contacting Ford Lighting customer service. He responded to do what I had to do. I have filed a complaint with Ford Motor in this regard. It seems clear in my opinion that this dealer continued to not have the customers and or our needs in mind. It sad because I trade and buy vehicles pretty often and due to their poor treatment of me, they have missed several sales. In today's market with people shopping online and many Ford Deals with customer centered philosophy's a dealership might realize that eventually your customer base will dry up. I would highly recommend Rydell Ford in Independence which is no more that 15-20 miles away. They are a positive company that seems to be focus on customers. Thye have a new Lightening, but it has been committed to a customer so is unavailable, but they DID NOT mark up the price.

I can't begin to express our disappointing experiences with Runde in Manchester. While sales was…read moregood, the horrible service out weighed the positive sale experience. We bought a used car which we received a recall notice for. No biggie but when we brought it the service mgr was very rude in making comments about we obviously don't take care of our vehicles since there were about 5 recalls that needed to be addressed. He was all smartassy until I said we had just bought it from them and obviously they didn't check the vehicle over as they stated they had. So they did the work some of it extensive at which time the service tech apparently punctured the radiator. Unknowingly my wife took off for a business commitment and got a 120 miles away and was stranded missing both the business obligation and having to sit on the side of the road. Runde would do nothing to address this. So I had to go get her, make arrangements for towing and take it to a service center there. Runde paid for the repairs but refused to pay for the towing or consider my time. We (stupidly) had some other work done on another vehicle and the services was even worse. They broke the custom wheel covers the car had and would take no responsibility. I picked up the car and within 1 mile had to bring it back because they had not mounted the exhaust correctly and a heat shield was vibrating loudly. Which they had to correct. Based on how I was treated by the service manager and the poor workmanship - I would NEVER!!! recommend to anyone to have work done by Runde. After my experience I have heard many other stories and experiences from community people as well. Do yourself a favor and find a dealer that will respect the customer and treat them with respect.

One star is appropriate for this place since I did actually get to test drive a car. I made an appt…read morea day ahead to drive a Wrangler Unlimited. On the website you can enter a price as an offer. I entered the price of $19,000. This was a little low but I was hoping we could negotiate. A coworker recommended this place to me. I visited the dealership and was late due to the construction (they didn't tell me!). I was given a salesperson who did not know anything about a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited! What's the horsepower? "Um, don't know, I'll have to ask" Is there hill descent control? Is there hill start assist? What is the engine? What are the tires? "Um, I'll have to get back with you about that". The guy was nice and there was no pressure. But really, he couldn't answer any of my questions. I told him about my price offer and that I had done research and thought it was pretty reasonable since the car is not new but used and there are better offers in in the area. He asked me if there were any other cars I was interested in. I said a Subaru Forester. He said he would go look and see if they had any on their other lots. He disappeared for some time and then returned with the manager. The manager told me there was no way I could get a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited anywhere around here for $19k. He said he looked at all of McGrath's lots and there was just no way. He showed me some computer paper which had a price of $25k which he said was the price they bought the car. Are you kidding me! What a bunch of malarkey! He said he would go down $500 but no more. Well, I thanked him for his time and walked out the store. I never did get the info on the Subaru or any of my Wrangler questions answered. It's probably for the best since I doubt the salesperson I was with knew anything about a Subaru either. They should have just told me they couldn't meet my price instead of wasting my time. The whole time I was waiting for the salesperson to find out about the Subaru, they were in the researching if there were any Jeep Unlimiteds for $19k? Really?! Why didn't they just come out and tell me straight up they couldn't meet my price but they could help me find another car? Instead they made me look like I was a liar! I guess it's okay for the salesperson to lie but if a customer is lying, then the management will spend 30 minutes doing research to find out if the customer is lying. Iowa is not a good place to buy a Jeep since they are overpriced here due to their popularity. Chicago is the best place to go to find a fair price. It's not as popular since most urbanites want a fuel efficient car. This experience left me really bad impressions of McGraths and Jeep. Only go here if you want a car that is overpriced and you are not willing (too lazy) to go to Chicago for a fair price.
