A couple thing has set my mind with this company. One I purchased 4 brand new tires for our car hauler and less than 2 years later 2 of the tires ended up being bad on the same side of the trailer. Couldn't get them replaced because they sold us tires that were close to being expired with the specs on the tires. Second of all I have been a customer for several years. I've noticed every time I get new tires weather for mine or someone's else's vehicle They don't seal very well. Always leaking around the rim and tires, got charged every time I took the tire in to be repaired. My theory was right; I bought new tires elsewhere for my daughter van and for my granddaughter and just have not had any issue like from this place. They maybe fast at changing tires but you'll pay more in the long run. read more

We had a blow out on Hwy 20 near Independence and they got us back on the road again with four new tires quickly which we appreciated because we were on vacation. Due to no fault of theirs, a thousand miles down the road one of the tires went flat and had to be replaced. They called multiple places in Montana and located a replacement tire. Highly recommend! read more

Had a flat tire nearby on the interstate. The young man who came to put on our spare recommended Cy and Charlie's to replace the tire. We had a very pleasant experience. The ladies at the counter were very friendly and professional. They were having a busy afternoon, but were able to find the right tire and have it installed in about 45 minutes. Very impressed with their service. read more

History

Established in 1952.

Cy & Charley's Firestone is a third generation family owned business currently owned by Ron Hearn. Cy & Charley's started in 1952 when Cy Hearn (Ron's grandfather, who worked for Louis Chanen since 1933) and Charlie Gerken purchased Chanen's Home and Auto Supply Store (Louisville) from Louis Chanen, who had started in the tire business in 1922. In 1962, after Cy Hearn's death, Charlie Gerken sold Cy & Charley's to Don Hearn (Ron's father), Leo Gerken (Charlie's brother), and Don Halverson. Don Halverson retired in 1982. At this time Ron Hearn became a full time employee. Leo Gerken retired in 1992 and sold his share to Max Boren of Smitty's. In 1997, Don Hearn died and Ron Hearn purchased his father's share. In 1998 Max Boren sold his share to Ron Hearn. Cy & Charley's now sells a wide variety of tires, appliances, and televisions. We do appliance service in the home, appliance delivery, and on the farm tire service.

I don't think my alterations were terribly complicated, but she makes the entire process feel painless either way. Not only is she a talented seamstress, she is a master of time management because her little shop is always busy yet she's always willing to take a new project. These guys totally took care of me and my car when I needed it! I was driving through Independence to my home an hour away when I started to hear a bad sound from one of my rear wheels. Once I "felt" the wheel going bad, too, I drove into a parking lot about 1/2 a mile from Cy & Charley's and gave them a call (I couldn't go further). A mechanic came to where my car was and confirmed that the car wasn't drivable. He then called and set up an affordable local tow, and my car was soon at the shop. Not 75 minutes later, they had me fixed up, at an affordable price, and on the road headed home. I could have been held up for hours, or even over night; I could have ended up paying a lot in a town I didn't know. Instead, Cy & Charley's really came through for me: excellent, professional, fair service! Highly recommended! read more

The lady at the front desk was rude. She didn't even try to smile or act friendly. After my oil change, I went up to pay, and after I paid, she just walked away without saying thank you or have a nice day. She needs to start smiling more and acting more friendly. I've been here multiple times, and she acts like this every time. Everything else was great. read more
