Hello All, Mr. Juan did an excellent job to revive my fridge (the fan was broken, he replaced with new fan and finished in 30 Min, this is the second time we used him, last time was at another property), he arrived just in time since I spent all morning trying to book an appt. One of the best part was FREE estimates!! while most would charge $65 to diagnose. !!! THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!!! Long story short: Our dryer stopped working so we gave them a call. They ended up sending a repairman to take a look and see what the problem was..he told us the circuit board would need to be replaced and that we should look online for one so they can come back and fix it..my father said we wouldn't need to since it was covered under our warranty... So later that night my father was in the middle of taking out the part but noticed the part looked a lot different from before and since the repairman was the only other person to touch the dryer, he realized he must've swapped it and left an older looking one in its place. So now we have to get a new dryer because having a different part voids the warranty..So don't even bother calling these guys, they'll just end up stealing from you like they did with us. read more

I purchased a washer and dryer. 2.5 months ago. They fixed 2 items within first month. Now that I have third problem I have called 6 times. They say they will come out and see it or pick it up to repair. I DO have 1year warranty I paid extra for, they still haven't made it or even bothered to call back to reschedule. I sat home 2x waiting for them and they never showed. I'm done with these people!!! read more

Bought a Maytag washer and dryer a year ago. Great, great prices. Not a single problem. Plan on buying a refrigerator from them soon.

Jose has fixed numerous things for me. Fixed our dryer. My ice machine stopped working and he replaced it with a new one. The new one was acting up and he came and exchanged it. No charge. Our washer broke and he told us repair was costly and didn't always work. He recommended a new washer. No charge for the call and diagnosis. I don't understand the bad reviews it's like we're using different companies. I've been using the for 9 years and never had ANY issues. read more

They also call themselves Jake's Appliances. Mary or Jake, the following review still applies. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!! If I could give a negative amount of stars, I so would. These guys are the worst. I bought a fridge from them on Nov 18, 2011. Within a week the freezer section quit working and I lost a freezer full of food. They brought me a "new" fridge, and a week later, the fridge part broke, I called and they said they would come fix it the next day. I waited all day for the repairman who never showed up and my phone calls weren't answered or returned. I had to leave town, like I told them I would have to, and because they didn't show up, I then lost a fridge full of food. So the freezer on the first fridge, the fridge part of the second one. Fast forward to when I get back from out of town and a repair is scheduled to come out at 1pm. I stay home from work, he doesn't show until 7pm. And of course, my phone calls during this 6 hr period went unanswered. Ok, fridge is finally fixed 6 hours later? No. Now it makes a noise that you can hear from outside of my house. At this point, I'm ready for a refund. I call and ask them to pick up the fridge and give me my money back. They agreed to do so Wednesday morning. Morning, which in my head means anytime before noon. So I take Wed morning off, which is today and it is now 30 minutes after noon. One of my phone calls this morning was answered, and after venting my frustration in a very nice way, I was promised a phone call back "in a few minutes" to most likely set yet another appointment to waste my time. 2 hrs later, no phone call. No answer at either of their phone numbers, probably cause they know its me calling. So all in all, for a $350 fridge, I have lost double that amount food and time at work. I should've bought a new one from Sears, I have saved no money by going with this used appliance mess of a store. This is not a professional establishment by any means, please stay far away from them. You will not save money, your time will be grossly wasted and their products are broken. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! They are selfish people who are MONEY hungry. Bought a fridge in Jan it already was broken by April. Yes they have good prices but the customer service is TERRIBLE. We called they said they would be over to fix it at 8pm no call and no show. We had to call them to beg for them to come the next day and they came but 2 hours late. The man who came to look at the fridge didn't give me the time of day and didn't want to help out whatsoever, said it would be $250 to fix and i asked if he could give me a credit for another fridge in his store and he said No and said he couldn't haul the fridge back or away for us either. Spend the extra money and buy a fridge from a big company with a warranty , this was nothing but a headache and we wasted our time and money with these money hungry people. read more

My mom called this company to repair her GE washer. The handyman "repaired" it after taking the washer for a few days. When he returned, the washer was not the same one he took. This washer had a different serial number and my mom asked him and he denied switching the washers and said he replaced the parts and that is why the serial number was different. Well now this replacement washer has broken as well and once again we called him in hopes that he would repair it or shed some light on the situation. He said he would come by at noon on 1/17/18 and he never showed. He also stopped answering her calls. After taking his $400 payment and swapping the washer that is now broken we need a brand new washer because the issue with the washer he swapped is far more costly than what the washer is worth. He has no respect for others' time and he is not an honest man. I recommend taking your business elsewhere. If he is not going to get money out of you, he much rather ignore your calls, especially if you are calling him out on his wrong doing. We gave him plenty of chances to show us he is honest but every time he screwed my mom over. read more

I have been using J's & Mary's Appliances for several years now. I find them to be professional, kind and courteous. They are timely in their return calls and in setting appointments. Just recently, my washing machine stopped working mid wash, J came to inspect and in less than 30 minutes he had it running again. Excellent pricing. I would recommend them for service. read more

If there was something with negative marks -- I would give it to them, all of it. Anyway here is story. On Feb 25th. I went to Mary's appliances asked Mary to send somebody to an Apartment to give me an estimate as to why the oven was not working. Depending on the estimate I will make my decision. She said the estimate is free. However, nobody went there. I got busy managing other apartment and so I followed up with them on 2 March 15th. Her husband who goes by J went there and said it's $145 for parts and $55 for labor -- I said that's way to expensive. I asked how much would it cost to just put a workable -good condition appliance - he said $200.00. he told me it would be ready by March 16th. I went on the 16th, and he said its ready and to pay him now and he will install it tomorrow. I say no - I will pay once installed and working at the apartment. He said its working at the store and that he gives a 6 months warranty -- I said since it's used - he needs to install it at the apartment, and once I see its working etc. and my tenants say ok then I will pay him. He said no, that's not how is does business. Finally we agreed that on 17th, he will install it and I should be there during the installation and if it works then I can pay him in full immediately after installation. To which I agreed. Today at 3:00 pm. we installed the stove but two front burners were not working, he said its water and that once it drys up it will work. He asked me for full payment I said NO, you fix it completely and then I will pay. He said he has to go to costa mesa and will be back by 6-7 and will fix it and that I should be there and pay him. To which I said no I have dinner plans with my family. I will pay him tomorrow after it's fixed. He then said that he will be back tomorrow to fix it and to pay full today. To which I again said no. Bottom line -- I told him that no full payment until everything is working. He then took his stove back and installed the old stove. Bottomline - be careful -- don't pay in full - they have a huge huge attitude, are rude and just not cooperative with the client - they think they are doing you a big favor. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM -- I WILL NEVEREVER AGAIN WASTE MY TIME ON THEM. read more
