The staff was incredibly friendly and gave us great recommendations! We were hesitant about ordering the soup, but we're so glad our server suggested it--the Italian Wedding Soup was delicious. Well, I didn't think it was possible to be worse that Subway... but the joke was on me. Bam. There it was, and there it is. The bread is one notch lower than stale wonder bread, and the rest, well, just skip it. I don't want to waste any more time reviewing this establishment than I already have. After being urged by many locals to make a second stop and give it another try, I reluctantly complied. So this time, I went in and was rudely greeted by a member of the staff. She was clearly annoyed that I came into her establishment 20 minutes before closing. I stood there and considered walking out several times. I ordered the pizza sub on garlic dill bread. Although it was clearly prepared with every ounce of love this woman had for her job, I wanted to figure out why the the flavor of the food here often resembles feces. Was it the shaking if the dirty floor mat near the open food? Was it the low quality ingredients? Was it the heating method used? As the microwave alarm began to beep, I considered walking out, again. Finally, the food arrived. The same worker slammed the "sub" on the counter and walked away. $8.51 later, I was headed back to the hotel, where I would eat this alleged food. The bread is like biting into a soggy milk soaked piece of white bread. The veggie sandwich is a collection of lettuce, tomato, onion and banana pepper. A far cry short of a collection of vegetables to be able to call it a full sandwich. The hot pepper sauce still lingers on my tongue far after the taste of the alleged sandwich. Nothing bad about this particular location just not a fan of the type of bread, sandwich or options. I've tried the hot pizza subs in the past which is soggy to begin with but the microwave heating makes it even worse. All in all most likely will not be returning. Sorry not sorry. read more

The food was honestly very tasty but unfortunately not well put-together at all and the staff (at least at the time I went) is rude. The main issue is that the staff is extremely unpleasant. It was the end of their shift so I understand that everyone is tired but I truly felt unwanted in that restaurant and could not wait to leave. The girl flung my order options at me so fast and got irritated when I wasn't sure right away (even though I said I had never been there before) and I ended up waiting 25 minutes for a sandwich that was not put together whatsoever and uncomfortably unpleasant service. I have had a number of tasty subs here. But, I have had a few that were awful too. Its nice to have some kind of sub place that you can count on. And in a place that does not have Subway you often take what you can get. You wold do better crossing the street and going up to Little Italy or Sergio's and asking them to make you a hot sub. They don't specialize in subs either of them but they would make Jreck's look like the amateurs that they are. What's nice about Jreck's - they are cheap. And college kids know about cheap. read more

Potsdam, NY is a nubs town that doesn't have much to offer in terms of dining. Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised by Jreck subs, a small sub shop in downtown Potsdam. The menu is fairly large and contains a great variety of both hot and cold subs. I ordered the small veal parm with provolone cheese and a side order of fries. The sub was delicious and the fries were fresh. A sub, fries, and drink cost me only $6. This place destroyed nubway. read more

the food was good however i noticed the woman who is tall with dyed red hair, was making an ELDERLY mans sub for him and his wife with NO GLOVES after using a mop. this woman was also fairly rude to my boyfriend when he couldn't hear her, giving him attitude and rolling her eyes when we repeatedly told her we were eating in. the food was great. the customer service was not. the two younger girls seemed off out by her behavior and slightly uncomfortable. this tall woman also went to the back throwing a fit when the man demanded her to wear gloves. i won't be coming back here unless she is not working or she is reprimanded for her poor customer service and attitude. she clearly does not like her job. read more
