The reviews were right - RA Construction takes the time to go up and inspect and measure your roof to make sure their quote is comprehensive and on the mark. Some of the other vendors just "eyeballed" it from the street and their quotes came in noticeably higher. I was able to upgrade to higher quality Malarkey Vista shingles for a cost similar to what other vendors were asking for lesser quality shingles. My roof was done in just a few days, and each day the crew made sure everything was cleaned up. My back patio was cleaner when they left than it was before they started! Communication was great and my questions were answered promptly. One last thing ... I have a window on the second story of my house that doesn't open, and thus washing the exterior side requires a ladder and crawling onto the roof ... suffice it to say I am not able to clean it myself. One of the crew members graciously agreed to wash that window for me and I am so grateful! Thank you, RA, for a job well done!

It was around 25 years old and it was leaking in multiple places. I had a quote within 2 days. Was on the schedule within 5 weeks. And the work was completed in a day. Full removal of the old roof, repairs to the leaking parts of the house, and the new roof installed. I couldn't get a solid count but it seemed like 15 workers. 12 on the roof and 3 folks managing the everything not on the roof. Started at 8am and done by 6pm. It was a thing of beauty. No leftover messes anywhere. The valley's were braided together in a way to prevent water from gathering. Much better than the way they were initially laid. I'd have no qualms about recommending Ed's to anyone looking for roofing work!

He went up into the attic, came back down and said "it doesn't look too bad up there." I'm glad I decided to get more vendors to take a look at the issues, because it turns out all my ventilation design needs to be changed, I have wood rot, and several leaks where the mold is growing. The project did extend 2 days more than they anticipated, but they let us know ahead of time and had valid reasons to extend the project. The windows came out excellent, and the team did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. They also checked our siding for possible water damage and covered up the windows extremely well with weathering material. It was refreshing to work with contractors who answered all your questions and responded in a timely manner. (My wife and I ask LOTS of questions.)
