First time here, I was looking forward to eating the pad Thai. As I was walking around the restaurant I noticed the plates aT everybody tables and everything looked very delicious. I'm kind of a pad Thai snob so when I ordered it here, I was surprised that this really didn't taste like pad Thai , it was missing that sweetness. It did look good and taste good for what it was, but I wouldn't come here for the pad Thai I would be willing to try something like the sesame chicken or something else.

JP's is probably the closest thing to east coast Chinese food I've found so far in the one year I've been in Colorado (I'm in COS). General Tso's chicken was very good - next time I'll ask for more chilis. We weren't a fan of the sauce for the dan dan noodles - it wasn't bad, just not what we like. Crab rangoons were good. Service was amazing! *Five stars* I'd definitely return next time I'm in the area.

Went here recently on a hike on a recent Saturday. We had a group of 6 people so we ordered a variety of dishes, however had we gotten there earlier they did have lunch specials. We were there around 2 PM. I enjoyed the dishes and they came out quickly and my favorite dish was the sweet and sour chicken. Service was great and prices were very reasonable. Located at the corner of a shopping center so easy to locate.

Pleasantly surprised! Tucked away in a strip mall, this place has kind and welcoming staff, bright modern decor including a sizeable outdoor patio with umbrellas, and swift service of food. We stopped here after hiking in Roxborough State Park, seeing it right along the main road. There's a pretty extensive menu with Chinese, Thai and Japanese food. Prices were quite reasonable especially considering the large portions. The vegetarian ma po tofu was excellent, with fresh soft tofu and a sauce whose spiciness you can specify (I suggest medium spicy for normal palates). The beef with broccoli had an excellent cut of beef and similarly large portions. Lunch specials came with choice of soups, plus egg roll, fried wonton and choice of white or fried rice. All that food came to barely over $10/person. We will be back for sure, especially whenever we are hiking or going to Chatfield!

JP's used to feature Taiwanese cuisine and has a separate Chinese menu. According to one of the servers, they switched to more "Chinatown fare" since the pandemic due to logistics of keeping ingredients. Which makes this restaurant an OK one. Try their sushi if you really aren't in the mood for Chinatown foods like sesame chicken, etc. We as a family shared a Seafood Noodle Soup Stew. I call it stew because it's served in a pot-sized bowl! Seriously enough to split for 4 people. It was nice of our server to switch out the typical udon noodles for thin, rice noodles upon our request. Makes everything so much better! We also enjoyed the Orange Roughy Filets in Fermented Black Bean Sauce, perfect dish to eat a lot of rice with. Hopefully the next time we visit, they will have brought back the traditional menus and offerings. 3.5 stars.

All you can eat sushi?

I have never seen all you can eat sushi at JP’s. It is some of the freshest tasting sushi I have had in the area; it’s worth the a la carte prices.

I ordered the heart attack roll, it came out 20 minutes after everything else to the point we thought it had been forgotten. It is important to note this is advertised as an "appetizer roll". We had already finished everything by the time it came out. It was very bland. Our server forgot 2 separate items we asked for, even after we asked again. We were the only ones in there - how could you forget? I also ordered the vegetarian fried rice, but it had chicken in it. The rice was clearly old. The soy sauce on the table was empty. They were nice, though. Everything was clean. Miso soup was good. Sweet and sour soup was good. But everything else was inedible and abysmal. Surprised by the really good reviews, but overall just terrible. Will not be back. Will not recommend.

They have some happy hour specials, which is nice, but they weren't very interesting. I ordered a nice 300ml bottle of sake, which should come chilled, and it was decidedly room temperature. The server did bring out an ice bucket to put it in, but it was way too late to chill the bottle. I scoured the menu for specialty rolls that didn't come with loads of gloopy sauces on top and didn't find any. I really despise Americanized sushi rolls that are covered in sauce, but I ordered 2 of the more appetizing-looking ones along with the new style sashimi and salmon sashimi. The new style sashimi was described as coming with cilantro (which is how it usually comes) but there was no cilantro in sight and instead they were covered in copious amounts of jalapeños. The cuts were also pretty butchered, particularly given the cost. The rolls were palatable, but entirely too big for my mouth, which just makes eating a bit like choking. I did receive a small complimentary dessert, which was decently tasty. The server was very friendly, but he sort of forgot about me in the end. With all these things in consideration, I probably won't be back. given the location, I would choose Makizushico for dinner over JP Nori every time.

Even the restroom was clean. This restaurant, now known as Izumi Sushi, was great and all four of us really enjoyed our meal. Our server was efficient and light hearted. I was not expecting a restaurant in Colorado to have such impeccable sushi. I ordered oysters that had been shipped in from the west coast which was served a secret wasabi sauce that changed my life. I will never eat dyed horseradish ever again. The oysters were so fresh, sweet, and succulent. I've never had such amazing oysters outside of the west coast. I also ordered hamachi, toro, and sake nigiri. Every piece of fish was incredibly fresh and buttery. It was so fresh that I could taste the sweet, fruity, and floral notes of the hamachi. The server was very kind and recommended several nigori sakes and allowed us to taste them before ordering a bottle which we really appreciated. Jake, the chef, was kind enough to come speak with us and was highly educated in the art of selecting the best fish shipped directly from Japan. We concluded the meal with a gorgeous, ripe pineapple topped with tajin. Next time I visit, I will definitely return to this restaurant. Highly recommend giving this place a visit!

The only reason why I know about this restaurant is because a gift card I got, which listed Sushi Basho as one of the restaurants I can use my card. When entering the door, diners are greeted by a big aquarium. It's actually a great way to stare at the tank and its creatures while waiting to be seated. A table of 8 was arranged and set for us, and in a couple of minutes, we were escorted to our table. Colorado can be brutal in the winter, and this evening, sitting right near the door, I felt chills each and every time the front door was open. However, the heat from the above heater did keep me warm every now and then. As we looked at the menu, I realized there are a lot of options for us to choose. If one doesn't like sushi, they can order some other types of food including their dinner boxes, which a friend and I decided to do. My dinner box came with a small side salad, a choice of miso or hot and sour soup, and the main meal box. Other friends ordered various types of sushi, boiled fish, and a bowl of pork katsu. All enjoyed their food and said they would go back again to eat here. My box meal contained rice, 4 pieces of coconut shrimp, gyoza, a variety of tempura including shrimp and taro, and the main star of the box: salmon with vegetables. Everything was delicious and I did eating everything, but the taro tempura was so good! Perfectly cooked to where, when bitten, it was crunchy on the outside and had great texture inside. It's hard to describe it, and my suggestion is to ask them to prepare one or two taro tempura so that you can have the same eating experience. I was very happy to be able to enjoy a great meal here. I would come back another day and try one of their lunch specials. My grade is a B+.

The fish was rank--overwhelmingly fishy in a way that screams it's nowhere near fresh. It left a sour, oily stench that stuck in my nose long after the meal. Absolutely disgusting. If you're expecting quality seafood, look elsewhere. This was borderline inedible. The fish tank near the front is disturbing--way too small for the oversized fish and lobster crammed in there. It's a sad sight of animal abuse when you walk in and sets the tone for what's to come. Dirty plates, staff couldn't care less, and decor that looks like it hasn't been updated since the early 2000s just sealed the deal. Only decent thing? The hot sake--clean, crisp, and clearly the only thing being properly maintained in the entire place. Never again.
