As usual, we were welcomed in by Naomi and her smile. We try to go every couple of weeks and she remembers our drink orders every time. The restaurant was bright with a couple of televisions on, while the chefs were already preparing delicious dishes for their customers. We started with their Spicy Crispy Tuna as usual. This place isn't bad, it's just not an experience. The roles tend to be smaller than what you get elsewhere and it just doesn't click with me. Some people absolutely love it, though. Came here for a late lunch on a Tuesday. It being so late, there was no crowd and I was able to sit where ever I wanted. I was kindly greeted and with a quick review of the menu, the server was there to take my order. I started with a miso soup (very good) and for my meal, I ordered a salmon avocado + Jalapeño roll and tobiko. The salmon roll was super tiny (definitely not $10 worthy +$2 for jalapeños-- totally outrageous as the added jalapeño was the smallest shavings). Ambience: This is a nice location with good seating options and a beautiful patio. Service was very fast and friendly. Lots of options on the menu to choose from, I decided to get the lunch special; three sushi rolls for $20 They were out of the yellowtail due to the Mother's Day, rush the previous day, so I opted for tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, and Alaska roll. The tuna was not fresh, and even the rice seemed like it had been sitting around a long time. So I did not end up finishing that roll since it was lacking in favor and kind of tough to eat. The Alaska roll was better. The salmon was softer and the cream cheese gave it some flavor however, the rice seemed very dense and old as well. I opted not to eat my last piece. The shrimp tempera roll was good. I think the hotness of the fried shrimp warmed the rice surrounding it, which allowed it to be softer and overall gave the roll some good flavor and the warmed rice was easier to eat. I have friends who like this place, and I overheard the people behind me seem to be regulars as well so I guess it depends on your personal choices and preferences. Sushi has many components, from the delicacy of rice preparation to slicing of the fish to the molding of the finished product by the chef. Uncertain if it was an "off" night but Sushi Mango failed. The rice was the strangest texture and the fish was simply meh. The prices were in line with a sushi restaurant in Highlands Ranch but the quality of food was on par with the local King Soopers (although their rice is better). Obsolete prices on their website AND takeout flyers, and mediocre quality. On their own website, their Sushi Combo C (sushi, sashimi and eel roll) is listed at $30. When I picked it up I was charged $35. Their menu flyer at the restaurant lists the same dish for $27. This is unlawful, charging 15-30 percent more than advertised. The waitress simply said that the menus hadn't been updated "for a few years". (!) Sadly, the price discrepancy is evident across the board for their menu items. I would have forgiven the prices (which are well above market price) if the quality was good. Sadly, even on a Thursday evening when there should be fresh fish shipments in anticipation of the weekend, the quality of the sushi and sashimi was mediocre. Won't be back. Fix your advertised prices so you don't continue to rip off every customer! read more

Firstly let me preface this with I don't eat Sushi or any type of seafood because of allergies but my wife is a Sushi lover so I obviously have been to quite a few sushi spots despite how limited my options are, this restaurant however offers a few tasty entrees for people like me who are unable to partake. Very clean restaurant, extremely comfortable seating (which is surprisingly rare in many restaurants) with some pretty cool lighting fixtures which adds a unique, classy feel. Our server Chloe was polite, attentive and patient as we took some time deciding what to order. We had Gyoza, Tempura and Kara-Age for appetizers, all absolutely delicious, my favorite was the Kara-Age! The entrees also didn't disappoint and were sumptuous, the Yaki Soba had a very distinctive flavor, quite different from any other noodles I've ever had. I can't personally vouch for the Sushi but my wife loved it so much, after dessert she tried a few more options! This spot is a hidden gem! Came in for dinner and must say, you cannot go wrong with any of the items on the menu. I ordered takeout for the first time from Sushi Mango since it is local. I got the Yaki Udon and spring rolls. It was almost $30. It was one of the worst takeout meals I have ordered. It was supposed to have vegetables and I added beef. You could tell what any of the vegetables were and the beef was bland dry and pretty flavorless. I truly hope the sushi is better. Hello, to the Owners . You need to read the reviews and work on what people are telling you. The rice is a serious problem. Either you are over cooking it or cooling it too fast. I am not the only one on yelp mentioning this. It kept us from ordering more sushi. Spent $120. We are still Hungry. Gummy sushi I what we just experienced. Nice place, but the sushi was meh. The windows do not have any light filtering shades, so I was squinting the entire lunch. I find it rude to wear sunglasses inside with others in my party, so that wasn't an option. They were unusually slammed for lunch, and only 2 servers working, but I didn't mind so long as the food is wonderful, which it wasn't. I got the 2-Roll Lunch Special which came with soup or salad. I chose salad and it was delightful but 30 seconds later my sushi was served. Timing is everything, friends, and I would hope servers can learn to time delivery of food appropriately. Only 6 small pieces of each roll, spicy Yellowtail and spicy Tuna for $11.00? (See my photo) It seems their idea of "spicy" is to squeeze a dollop of Sriracha and cover the tiny amount of fish that may show. I was very disappointed and told my server who went to speak with the owner/manager. She came back apologizing for the scanty fish portions saying the manager told her he will not change the amount of fish as that is what their "Roll Lunch Special" is! Well, dang, okay then!! I was still hungry, and wanted to let them redeem themselves, so I ordered the Lollipop Roll, low carb no rice roll. Avocado, tuna, salmon, Yellowtail & crab wrapped in cucumber. I asked to add jalapeño. The overpowering taste of fake crab occupying 50% of the Roll did not permit me to taste any of the other fish tidbits and they forgot the avocado. My photo shows wasabi on top. So it wasn't terrible, but don't expect anything fabulous for "Roll Lunch Special". Really, this place is not for authentic sushi lovers. Cons= Super sub par rolls that were falling apart on the plate. Their version of a spicy tuna roll was a basic tuna roll with a squirt of sriracha or some chili sauce on top. I understand we are in a land locked state, but effort in the flavors and sauces used to accompany your rolls is important. They seem to completely overlook this fact. Pro= Very well seasoned rice. But since its our Monthly-Anniversary celebration, and its NOW my choice on where to eat, to SUSHI MANGO we went. YES we live in the other side of town, but when comes for SUSHI, Don't Play Play with Me! I whispered. When we arrived, luckily we managed to get seats at the Sushi Table aka SUSHI BAR, Man this place is indeed jam packed to the Brim. Is this a good sign? I whisper again to my heart? I hope they have some items from the Menu for Hubs to order let alone to eat. Hubs opt for Fountain Soda aka COKE ($1.75), while I opt for water as part of our beverages. That evening, our lovely server, her name is Kim. To my surprise, Hubs opt to have JAPANESE FRIED RICE with Chicken + Beef ($8.95 + $1.00). At the end of our Dinner, Hubs wanted something sweet so he ordered FRIED CHEESECAKE & ICE CREAM ($5.50). The Dessert to Hubs was indeed what he was looking for to end his meal. He liked it alot. He liked his order of Japanese Fried Rice, and Dessert NOT so much on the Yakitori. He even quote that he does not mind returning to this establishment on a heart beat just to have what he had that evening. As for me, FINALLY Highlands Ranch has something to offer especially in terms of SUSHI establishment in town and Hubs APPROVED!. The price was reasonable. Since we were the last few patrons dining away and seated at the Sushi Bar, we managed to exchange several conversation with the Main Chef who is originally from Vietnam and his Sous Chef who is from Indonesia.
