However, Ken and Rich at Kingman Marine had no fear of working on my engine and got it up and running well within a very short period of time. I've been out a few times with it and it performed very well. It needed a different impeller and a lower gasket. I feel confident it will continue to function as long as I take care of it. When my wife came out, she noticed that the undercarriage of the trailer had come loose, and folded underneath. We managed to limp over to Trotter's RV Repair to have it fixed. We figured that we would have to get a motel room for the night, at the very least. The owner had ok'ed us to come over, and they put their guy Dustin on it. We came in at about 2 PM, and he had us back on the road by about 3:30. And without telling, the price they charged was more than fair. Let me tell you, that if we lived close enough, nobody else would ever work on this trailer. All the folks there were absolutely a dream. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Thank you guys. These are good people at this shop…read more I was heading east on I-40 through Kingman in my RAM 3500 on a Wednesday night when the truck suddenly lost power and started shuddering badly. I was able to get stopped, and the code showed a misfire on cylinder 6. I looked for diesel shops in the area, and most of them were near the Flying J, so I got a room nearby. Thursday morning I called Dynamic Diesel and Tim, the owner, answered. He came right over to the hotel with his technician, Colton, to take a look at the truck. Colton cleared the codes and we started the truck. Tim suspected an injector and said it should be okay to drive it over to their shop. Once they got it there, they found out that getting an injector from the RAM dealer would take several days. Rather than make me wait, Tim drove all the way to Las Vegas on Friday to get a Bosch OEM injector. They installed it, but unfortunately, there was no change in the way the truck was running. So they kept digging. They eventually discovered that the grid heater connector was loose. At that point, they were pretty sure the nut from the connector had gone through the engine. I wanted to be certain, so they took the intake off--and sure enough, the nut was gone. They then used a video probe to look inside the cylinder. Unfortunately, what they found confirmed the worst: there was significant damage inside. About a third of the intake valve was missing, and there was scoring on the cylinder walls. The engine was toast. A new one is required. So a buddy of mine is coming out with a trailer and we'll take the truck back to Tennessee. Obviously, this wasn't the outcome I was hoping for, but I can't say enough good things about Tim and Colton, and the entire shop. They went above and beyond to help me, kept investigating when the first diagnosis wasn't the answer, and did everything they could to get to the bottom of the problem. And I'm guessing that because they couldn't get me running again, Tim was generous in reducing the bill by a lot. Thank you. And bless Colton. He really cares. He was frustrated and troubled that was beyond his control. Thank you for that and taking all the time you did to explain things. It means a lot to me. Bottom line - they are good people, do honest work, and genuinely cared about helping me. I highly recommend Dynamic Diesel in Kingman.
