Waited three hours for a tow truck. The sun was hot and the traffic constant and everywhere we called said they couldn't possibly see us until Wednesday or that they we closed. Not HRS, he was there for us! Tom was the best! He was clear, direct and honest. He told us, "have them tow it here and I will do what I can to get you safe and back out on the road as quickly as possible." He was a man of his word. He explained what he thought might be the problem, which it was. This guy works on racing cars, he knows his stuff. He had us fixed and back on the road within 24 hours - just like he said he would. Thomas is kind, considerate, knowledgeable, exacting and reliable. The price was fair and the work was well done. We feel so lucky that HRS was the shop that was open and the one who took our call. Our tow truck driver, when he arrived, asked us where we wanted him to take the car. We told him HRS and we asked him what he thought, he said, "Well, I don't know him personally, but I know he's a great mechanic!" And right he was! When we went back we couldn't open the door into the RV. Shouldn't be a problem, just go through the cab of the vehicle... uh oh - both doors are locked... and the dog is in the RV and had been in there for a couple of hours - it was time for a walk. We looked at each other... neither of us had keys - they were hanging inside the RV. Fortunately we have AAA Premium with RV coverage. I put in a service request on the AAA app on one of our phones. I mentioned our dog was in the RV and my husband's meds were also in there (he's diabetic). 5 minutes after I submitted the request a AAA rep called me to get more information. She said it would be 1 1/2 - 2 hours...yikes... I said ok. She then asked about the dog and my husband's meds. She said she would mark it urgent. 5 minutes later I got a call from a local tow company, City Towing, which works out of Kingman and Williams. She said they had someone on the way, but it would be about half an hour. 5 minutes later a young man named Ty called to let us know he was on his way. I got 2 more calls from AAA and City Towing checking to see if we were OK and if our dog was okay. (I appreciated them staying in touch and keeping us advised of an ETA.) Ty made it to our RV park within 35 minutes of me first submitting my service request. Ty arrived and within about 10 minutes, had us in our rig and we had our dog out. Kuddos to City Towing and Ty for being more than prompt, professional and efficient, and unlocking our vehicles doors in a very timely fashion.
