Been using Mark for several years and his service has gone downhill big time. For the last three years I have dealt with excuses from Mark about fixing his mistakes on my boat after I had him do an insurance job on it. He was paid by the insurance company still to this day he hasn't completed the job. He will never touch my boat or trailer again as I went to a better mechanic in Ft Mohave. Okay so I don't even know where to start other then THANK YOU!! Our trailer had a pretty gnarly blow out luckily no one was hurt. Active Storage referred us to AZ Boat Guys who came right out and hauled to trailer back to their shop as he knew it wasn't safe for me to drive. After assessing the rest of the trailer he noted the other bearings were bad. He ordered the axel and finished all the repairs in a day. Truly a blessing that Mark was sent our way! read more

I brought my new to me used boat in for a service prior to putting it in the water. I was initially told it would take about 2 days 3 max and was given an estimate of about $750. I was aware of a couple of items that needed to be repaired. The wiring from the trailer to my tow vehicle was to short and the master cylinder for the brakes on the trailer needed to be fixed. I provided the parts (so I thought for the master cylinder). I told Brian to assume his family would be in the boat and to please go through the boat and make sure it was safe. Finally after several calls and 2 weeks he called and said it was completed. When he extended the wiring for the trailer light he did not do it correctly and the blinkers and brake lights had a problem. when I picked it up he also indicated it appeared the motor was overheating. (For the life of me I can't understand why he would not fix it) So $1000 later I put the boat in the water to discover there is, in fact, a problem of overheating. I have brought the boat to another mechanic and he determined there was crap around the impeller causing the problem and it was an easy fix. I had the new mechanic redo the annual service, He indicated AZ. Boat Guys didn't do any service to it at all. I will not bring my boat back to them nor would I recommend them. I'm out $1000. read more

Mark Reese is a crook, buyer beware. Mark supposedly rebuilt my jet and gave me a 500 horsepower motor. Not only did he charge me for the motor rebuild but added an additional $1,000.00 for a carburetor rebuild. Boat ran terrible, would not start because he left the ground wire loose, another weekend of disappointment. Took the boat out another weekend and the jet was bad after Mark had rebuilt it less than 10 trips and 5 years earlier. Carburetor leaking jet toast brought it to Total Performance. Dennis did a great job, went out this weekend and the boat was prefect. Mark wrote I am a liar and because he says it it must be true. Mark promised a reliable 500 hp, 70 mph boat. Top speed 46 mph. Mark please show us the invoices that you created to come up with $3,000.00. Mark started my motor rebuild without my consent and at the time I was not sure if I even wanted to rebuild the motor. I requested a proposal on the work before beginning the project. I reached out to him after that and he informed me that he had started the rebuild and needed money. I then told him that money is tight and would give him a deposit 1/2 ASAP. I came up with the deposit 1/2 a few months later and brought a couple of friends with me and again spoke about the rebuild. It wasn't till Father's Day a few months later, I had the balance. I ask Mark to have boat ready and said I would come and pick up the boat. Went and picked up the boat and he said there was an additional $1,000.00 owed. Let him know I was not planning on any extras and didn't have the extra $1,000.00. I then received the text in the picture he posted and my reply was I would like you to change the oil and make adjustments that will make the boat preform as promised. It's hard to find any good help along the river but Mark goes out of his way. He will pick up and deliver your boat to your home. He serviced my motor with all grease fittings and trailer bearings, & brakes being serviced. Brought my boat to Mark with a ton of problems, pretty much rebuilt the back end of my boat mechanics. After them not only giving me the fairest deal we could find they all handled the work professionally and totally stood behind there work. The morning we picked up the boat we were so excited to take it out on the river we were on the water around noon, Mark asked us "please tell me how everything goes" and after a full day boating we had a little bit of a hick up and us being cautious we had the boat towed off the river. We told Mark of our problems and he didn't hesitate to fix the problem and have us out on the water the very next day. Worst experience with a mechanic ever. He told us we had low compression and needed to rebuild our engine quoted $7k or replace our engine. We trusted him and missed out on using our boat for 2 river trips. Decided to get a second opinion. Absolutely no issues with compression, replaced spark plugs and filter (Mark did a boat service for us in March) apparently this didn't include new spark plugs. Our boat is up and running with no issues and has more power than before! The cost to fix our boat was less than $100 and took less than 2 hours. The only way we could have be more disappointed and frustrated with our experience, is if we would have chosen to have our engine rebuilt and paid out at least $7k for an unnecessary service. read more

Bought my Warlock in California and had it serviced at Inland Boats in Perris. HUGE mistake! After finding out the hard way and trying to take my family out on the river my boat overheated. It turned out inland boats didn't do what I paid for. They never replaced my impeller and even if they did they would've noticed I needed a new water pump. Found AZ boats guys online and called Mark. He did is thing and found the problem right away. He even took pictures and saved the bad parts so he could show me. I'm great full to have found a mechanic like Mark. His knowledge and experience is recognizable. Every time I've come to him with a concern or problem he's always met me at his shop to help me diagnose the boat. So I recently bought a home in mohave right near the river. The house came with a boat and two sea doos, awesome right! Well when I took the boat out it didnt go forward at all when I got on the gas, also there were some rather large dings on the bottom of the boat. My real estate agent suggested this place so we towed the boat over. I met Mark and he seemed like a really nice trustworthy guy (sometimes you just get a vibe about people). Got a call back from Mark a couple days later with a price I thought was very fair. I havent got the boat back yet but I am sure they will do a great job on it. We came out to the river for a long weekend and on the first day we had a leak in the bellow seal and blew out a bearing before we could even get out of the harbor. We found AZ Boat Guys through Google and called them to see if they could fix it. They told us to bring the boat in and had 3 guys working on it before we could even unhook the trailer. Took my boat in for service, called Monday morning spoke with Mark, gave him a list of things needing to be done. Both bellows, new shift cable, change drive oil. I needed all this done in two days. ( I was going out of town for a month ) All mark said was we can do that. Dropped in off on Monday at 9:30 am, pick up Tuesday afternoon at 1pm. Got to the river for a long weekend and tried to start my boat in the driveway before going down to the water and all I get is a "click". Couple times more the same. Called AZ Boat Guys and Mark says bring it down and he will look at it. Get down to the shop and he hears the click and says your starter is frozen and yells to the guy in the office to bring him a hammer. I inquire as to the plan and he tells me - sometimes you just need to tap on the starter while trying to start and the starter will break loose and you're good to go. Well, it worked! Took my 1992 galaxie boat to get checked out, had problem with rpms going higher when I was turning, going straight no problem. Told mark at AZ Boat Guys about problem, he told me $200 to test drive, which I oked, also if he had to pull motor about $500, to check out coupler, coupler approx. $200. Service out drive , pull out drive off if necessary aprrox. $600. Call him a couple weeks later to see what's the problem, thinking he would have test driven the boat, he hadn't drove it yet but he already had service my motor and told me that nothing but water came out of my out drive and my shaft was bent. I asked him for an estimate he told me he had to order the shaft, and let me know the repair cost. No call. We called him again he said he just got shaft in and then was going to drive it. No estimate yet. Next day he called me said he drove boat and drove perfect turning and driving straight. So his repair was going to approx $1100 ! With no estimate given first. Then we pick up boat the repair cost was over $1200 I asked for parts replaced, he didnt have them ready, he said they threw them away? So they went into there shop to look for some parts, he brought me a bearing and said they had to look for the shaft? I paid his price , im not happy at all, no estimate, no parts. Then he called me back to his store, because he wanted to talk to us, I was thinking maybe a refund, Mark said my boat didn't need the shaft after all, he got my boat mixed up with another boat, but he made me wait an extra week because he was waiting for a shaft that i didnt need, Wow maybe a refund.? No he said that the work done on my boat that was worth what he charged. Mark AZ Boats guys said he did 50 boats those weeks and that it was easy to make a mistake, yes Mark a mistake on the test drive first, mistake on estimate, mistake on witch boat witch repair, mistake on itemizing parts and prices on invoice, and addition on invioce.
