1 star quote gets a 1 star review. Was quoted 10 hours labor to fix a 3 inch hull crack. I've done fiberglass and body work before. I personally felt that was a ridiculous number. Took my boat to Havasu, 4 hour repair job at a highly reputable place. If I charged this shops hourly rate for me to make the two trips I would still be under this shops ridiculous quote. read more

I had them do some maintenance on my 2005 Mercury outboard. They were very helpful for all my questions and concerns. They made a effort to get the work done quickly as I came in from Las Vegas and wanted to make sure it would be done so I did not have to come back. I have two Jet Skis, one that is on the single a jet Ski trailer and the other one on the double Jet Ski trailer. So I went in to Kingman Marine to ask if they would transfer my Jet Ski on the single trailer to the double trailer and the two mechanics guy's were there said they can do it on the same day before 5 pm closing time. Cost me $109 dollars for the transfer I quest it's minimum two hours $50 dollars an hour for less than an hour of work, which I don't mind paying but I know I had two trailers and I know I have two sets of wheel chocks. Pick-up trailers with Jet Skis got home only one set of wheel chock inside the trailer tool box, went back to Kingman Marine and ask and guy said he threw it inside the tool box, well I knew right away he's laying, what a bunch of thieves that work at that place, I walked away knowing never trust that place warning to the owner. read more

I have an older 9.8 hp Mercury outboard motor that I recently acquired. I tried to get it serviced in Lake Havasu City (where I live) and after dragging it to four different places I was essentially told that no one would service it because it's too old (1984). However, Ken and Rich at Kingman Marine had no fear of working on my engine and got it up and running well within a very short period of time. I've been out a few times with it and it performed very well. It needed a different impeller and a lower gasket. I feel confident it will continue to function as long as I take care of it. I recommend came in Marin for any work you need to Kingman area with the trailer I was passing through and have one of my trailer straps at holds my JetSki tearing apart I showed up at eight in the morning when they open they took me without an appointment they did the job immediately and I was on the road within 20 minutes and it only cost me $17 for the repair. I paid this company to check out a boat, motor and out drive before I put a lot of money in it, they said the motor was good and it just needed oil change and carb rebuilt a $500.00 bill. In fact after spending a lot of money on interior the motor had a cracked block in three places, and had them before I bought it. Short explanation, Rude and Dishonest. I sent my boat in to get it checked out for the season. I stated to ken that I didn't have alot of money to pour into the boat. The inspection was quoted as costing $70. Upon getting the price of $5300 to get the boat on the water, he also stated that the inspection was going to be $85 because it took him a long time to get all the prices for the repairs. When I picked up the boat and inspection report, he had 3 items to replace on the report that I paid extra to get, if I paid more for the inspection because it took him so long, wouldn't it be a pretty detailed report of how my bill got so high. . The obvious thing is I told him I didn't have alot of money to spend on the boat, so why didn't he just call me and tell me 5300 so I could tell him no. Oh thats because he wanted to charge more. Then he had a boat that was on consignment for $1500, We talked about that boat for 5 minutes or so and discussed the 1500 price more than once. A few minutes later the price jumped to $1700, wow where did the other $200 come from, oh that's because he forgot to add his juice to the price. And to top it off the entire time Ken was extremely rude and demeaning, he acted as if I was bothering him. Unbeknownst to Ken, I also own a business here in town, and I talk to everyone under the sun. He assumed, because of my appearance, that I was a nobody here in town and he could just pull the wool over my eyes. He can ask alot of his family members who use my service and recommended him to me. read more
