Yelp Review: Stockton Hill Tires Our Volvo was driving like a bucking bronco, so after getting a referral we scheduled an alignment at Stockton Hill Tires on January 6th. After the alignment, they told us the tires needed balancing as well, so we agreed to that. They took the car on three test drives and assured us each time that it was running "smooth" and everything "looked good." We were told maybe we had "bad" tires or possibly a problem with the transmission and sent on our way. Saying the Volvo was driving "smooth" couldn't have been further from the truth. The moment we got in the car, it was vibrating and bouncing just as badly as before. It genuinely felt like they wanted us out the door rather than taking the time to diagnose the real issue. When we got home, a simple Google search pointed to bad CV joints and control arms. We took the car to Tire Works in Bullhead City, and they confirmed exactly that. It's hard to believe Stockton Hill Tires didn't catch something so obvious. Tire Works replaced the parts, and now our Volvo drives perfectly. The staff at Stockton Hill Tires were friendly, but friendliness doesn't fix a car. Whether they didn't know what they were doing or just didn't want to deal with it, the result was the same. Based on our experience, I can't recommend them. Tire Works in Bullhead City, on the other hand, got the job done right. read more

Excellent Service. My son broke down in the middle of Stockton Hill Rd in the middle of the day while trying to get into Stockton Hill Tire. Stressful moment for sure. Group of employees came out and helped us by pushing the truck into their parking lot to get out of traffic. We've used you guys many times for our tire service. So this review is a bit different. In short, this place has won me a customer for when I actually do need a set of new tires. My current tires had some miles on them and I wanted their opinion as to safety. They examined all four closely (and the spare) and told me they all had some safe miles left to go. Needed a new set of tires. Got their quote along with Costco and Walmart, but since wanting to patronize local, got the new Michelins ordered from local store. A couple days later kept my appointment and they had me in and out in no time with a great set of excellent tires combined with a perfect balancing job. Been going to this locally owned company for over 15 years and they never disappoint. Bought a car a few months back and didn't realize it had wheel locks on it till the other day. The master key was nowhere to be found, they removed the keyed lug nuts in no time and replaced them with regular ones, at a price I still can't believe. Over the years I have had oil changes, brake work, 2 and 4 wheel alignments and many sets of tires and have always been pleased with the transaction. Don't send your wife here alone... My wife went here to get an oil change and came away with $1000 in tires we didn't need. The tires were almost new 6 months ago so I my wife I wanted the old tires back. She called the next and they said they needed to find the tires. The following day she called again for the tires. She was told they didn't have the tires that someone picks up the old tires each day, bull shit. The tires were fine and they sold them to some used tire place. The day after she bought the tires I noticed they were out of balance and the car was shaking. We live out of town so mit took a couple weeks to get to town. She told them the tires were out of balance and wanted the checked. Rather than just take a tire off and check the balance, they drove around the block and then told her it was the front end and she needed $1000 in front end work. Really? The front end was fine a few weeks ago when they sold her the tires. She took it to another tire shop who balanced the tires and solved the shaking problem. To top it off our new tire had a flat when we got home from having them look at the tires.. I just wanted my old tires back...... read more
