They are honest, forthcoming, and patient, and their communication was fantastic throughout the entire project as they worked diligently to keep everything on track. Of course, with a full home remodel there are always unforeseen problems. When we hit a major delay due to the HVAC subcontractor, Aaron and Alex worked incredibly hard to resolve the issues and advocate for us. Even though those HVAC problems cost us about six weeks, the overall project still came in right on schedule. Our kitchen designer, Michele, was fantastic and brought our vision to life perfectly, and the bathrooms were designed beautifully as well. The crew--Angel, Asher, Enrique, and Donato--were professional, hard-working, and a pleasure to have in our home. We are thrilled with the results and highly recommend Wise Builders for their full-service approach and excellent problem-solving.

Replacing just the slabs takes quite a bit of precision and skill, so I was really glad they were willing to take this project on. There was some confusion at the beginning around scheduling, but once I brought it up, they adjusted quickly. Samuel then took over the project, and that really changed the experience for the better. We also ran into a misunderstanding around the scope of work and an additional cost that initially felt much higher than expected, to the point where I was considering cancelling the project. Samuel took the time to listen to my concerns, work through everything with me, and come up with a fair price. When the final scope ended up being a little less than anticipated, he even reduced the price further, which I really appreciated. He also sent two technicians to make up for the initial delay and get the work completed quickly. The doors turned out great, and the job was finished much faster than I expected. What could have been a frustrating experience was completely turned around by Samuel's responsiveness, patience, and willingness to find a fair solution. I would definitely recommend Proper Hour Home Service, especially for their technical skill and the way they handled an issue when it came up.

Going into this, we were absolutely terrified--especially after hearing so many horror stories about year-long delays on major renovations. Because we had to live in an Airbnb with our two small children during construction, timing was everything. Choosing Eli and his team was the best decision we could have made. They completed this massive project in just four months, beating their initial six-month estimate. More importantly, they turned what could have been an incredibly stressful ordeal into a smooth, streamlined process. Eli walked us through each and every step with detailed weekly updates, keeping us entirely in the loop. We were actually out of town for two of those months, but because of his proactive communication, his team made lightning-fast progress while we were away. We are thrilled with the final result. The craftsmanship is excellent, and Eli personally ensured that everything--from the foundation up--was executed to the highest standard.

What sets this company apart was that they knew what they were doing, very experienced and had made the best use of our time in the two in person meetings that we had by answering all the questions we had and giving us exactly what my husband and I needed. We started out thinking we wanted an ADU extension but Nir gave us an honest take on what would work with our home and we were impressed. Out of several handful of people we met we would have gone with Level up if we decided to start the project and hope they pick up our call when we are ready again in a few years. From start to finish, the experience was professional, organized, and far less stressful than we ever expected a project of this scale to be. Ethan, our project manager, played a huge role in the success of this renovation. From the very beginning. Starting with the initial design discussions, he was proactive, transparent, and incredibly detail-oriented. He took the time to really understand our vision while also offering thoughtful, practical guidance based on his expertise. Ethan helped us refine the layout, select materials, and choose finishes that made sense both aesthetically and functionally, all while keeping the project within budget, which we greatly appreciated. One thing that really stood out was how thorough the planning phase was. Everything was carefully thought through before construction even began, which helped prevent unexpected issues or surprises along the way. That level of preparation gave us a lot of confidence and made the entire process feel smooth and well-managed. Throughout the project, Ethan coordinated seamlessly with designers, engineers, inspectors, and the construction team, handling all the moving parts with ease. Communication was consistent and clear, and we always felt informed about what stage the project was in. Any questions or concerns we had were addressed promptly, which made the entire renovation feel surprisingly stress-free. The quality of workmanship and finishes truly speaks for itself. Every detail feels intentional, well-executed, and professionally done. If you are looking for the absolute best price and a contractor who is genuinely easy to talk to, Jay is your guy. He is very agreeable and was always willing to negotiate and perform reworks until I was satisfied with the result. That said, if your project is on the more complicated side like mine was, you should be prepared to take an active role in project management. The timelines did extend significantly beyond the original estimates, and I had to stay on top of the subcontractors to ensure the craftsmanship met my standards. It wasn't a hands-off experience, but because he is such an honest person to deal with and his pricing is so competitive, we got both projects to the finish line. A strong pick for those on a budget who don't mind being involved in the details. After working with many contractors in the Bay Area, I've found that the alternative is usually someone charging much more who promises a turnkey experience but can't guarantee it either. Knowing that tradeoff, I would hire Jay again - and already have.
