The facility itself is very clean, brightly light and spacious. The staff are also very friendly and kind! I appreciate how they can give me specific info. A note: they don't do early drop off or late pick up (but the hours are excellent and I've dropped off my dog at 6:30 and picked her up 11 hours later) for daily doggy daycare. Highly recommend!

Our senior cat has diabetes and needs to be fed and receive insulin injections on a pretty strict schedule (every 12 hours), and finding friends who were both available for the whole weekend and comfortable giving shots proved to be difficult. We found Twin Cities Pets through an online search and were ecstatic to see that they had prior experience with insulin injections and came to your home. A lot of other pet sitting or boarding services said that they will administer medication, but not injections, so this was lucky and we were so glad we didn't have to board him somewhere, which basically sound like cat jail. Marea came over and met with my boyfriend to pick up our spare key and learn about our cat's routine. We also have a bunny and a few tortoises, and she said she was happy to check on them as well. Marea sent us email updates letting us know everyone was doing A-OK, and we were able to enjoy our vacation with peace of mind knowing that our pets were in great hands. The cost was comparable or maybe even cheaper than boarding, and I know that our cat was much happier staying in his own home and familiar environment. We will definitely be using Twin Cities Pets the next time we go out of town and I would highly recommend them to any other friends in the area. I contacted a few people and Twin Cities Pets were the only ones that responded! I am so glad they did and here is why. First, cost for service. They stopped over prior to leaving to meet my pets and find out everything that I wanted to have done. They might do more in 15 minutes than I do in 3 hours with regards to my pets! The service is a great value. Great Service. They obviously love animals. It's nice to know that my guys are going to be with people who really care about their wellbeing. They offered to send me texts with updates, etc. When I came home, the cats looked well cared for and I think they left the litter boxes cleaner than when I left them! :) Just good people. These are the kind of people who have an instance trustworthiness about them. They are professional and friendly. Couldn't ask for better!…read more So, my cat is old and by old I mean almost 19. She's not super active, has a bit of a pancreas issue, but still lives a great life laying around on the couch or the bed, getting fed whenever she's hungry and is generally a great cat. We were out of town for 2 trips over 2 weekends and part of 1 week, as was my regular sitter, so I thought, "Hey maybe the vet has a place they would recommend?" And they did. I immediately called Silver Dog and left a message. The office manager Robin called me right back and answered all my crazy questions - Do you feed her on a regular schedule? Yes. Can you give her medicine? Yes. How often do you clean the condo? Twice a day. Do you play with them? Yes. Will she be around other cats? No. We have the ability to house 18 cats. Will she be around dogs? No. Are you staffed at all times? 12 hours a day. In addition to all of the above, they provided the litter and box and the food dish. She even told me to pop in to check the place out. So I did. Cat condos are 3 levels. At least one side of the condo has a window and on the lower level, there is an aquarium for the cats to check out, yet they cannot see other cats, which is good for my old timer. About half way through my travels I called to check on her, and they were having a great time with her, so I really felt at ease. They even called my vet to find out if she was up to date on her immunizations and confirmed the medication procedures. I was very happy with service provided by Silver Dog and the staff was very happy to have such a friendly and gentle cat. My regular sitter is going to be sad, but this will be my go to joint going forward.
