We could not be happier with the recommendation as the appetizers and entrées were absolutely stunning -- both in flavor and aesthetics! Our biggest difficulty was choosing dishes from his diverse catalog of offerings since they all sounded delicious. He was also very accommodating and made various adjustments to account for particular food allergies that some of our guests had (without compromising on flavor at all). For appetizers, we chose: - Pepper-Crusted Seared Ahi Tuna (Seka Hills EVOO, Sicilian Pesto, Herbs) - Ratatouille Tarts (Puff Pastry, Seka Hills EVOO, Parmigiano Reggiano) - Pistachio Flatbread (Onion, Burrata, Honey, and Chili Oil -- this one was a extra-huge hit with all guests) For dinner, we started with a Local Harvest Salad (Farm Vegetables, Fruit, Vinaigrette, Cheese, and Nuts -- plating was particularly beautiful for the salad), and had three entrée options: - Wagyu New York Steak (Imperial American Wagyu, Roasted Vegetables, Marinated Portobello Mushrooms, Potato Galette, and Red Wine Jus) - Signature Duck (Mary's Crusted Duck Breast, Hind-Quarter Confit, Potato Cake, Charred Vegetables, and Duck Jus) - Roasted Butternut Squash with Cannellini Beans (Charred Vegetables, Marinated Portobello Mushrooms, and Saffron-Rosemary Broth) Throughout our entire wedding and afterwards, guests were telling us how impressed they were and that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding! He and his team arrived right on schedule, set up (including silverware and plates) cooked and served outstanding food, provided extremely attentive service, and then cleaned up, leaving the kitchen absolutely spotless (while also deftly navigating a brief power outage!). We cannot recommend Adam Small Cooks highly enough! His food, attention to detail, and service are truly next level. Thank you again for making our wedding so special!

Chef Adam was amazing!!!…read more We celebrated a friend's birthday with 6 people at an Airbnb in Sonoma. We had a six course menu (see below for details) that was excellent! For the vegetarian in the group (me) he was able to whip up a wonderful dish when everyone else was eating halibut. Every single dish was a stand out and the group was so happy with how everything turned out. This was a wish of the birthday girl - to have a private chef and to spend time with her girlfriends. She was blown away by the experience. The 6 course meal included: Fried Baby Artichokes: lemon aioli, herbs, chili oil Flatbread: preserved truffle, pistachios, onion, burrata, honey, chili oil Ash Roasted Beets: kimchi honey, pistachios, ravigote, feta Charred Zucchini Agnolotti: fried sage, brown butter, lemon, pepper, parmigiana Seared Halibut: fennel-potato salad, herbs, haricot vert, preserved truffle champagne sauce Under-Baked Chocolate Cake: Italian meringue, Luxardo cherries, cocoa nibs Also, our kitchen was left spotless! Thanks again Chef Adam for giving us the perfect first day of our trip!

I cannot rave about Linda and her staff enough Her food is exquisite from appetizers to dessert ... absolutely delicious with such attention to detail and presentation. Her stories between courses were engaging and endearing ... talking about the recipes she still uses who were her grandmother's and how she procures herbs and veggies from her own garden..... loved it all !! And the food THE BEST SHORT RIBS I have ever tasted. Every epic bite was so full of rich flavor All the food was THE BEST EVER AND the house was left immaculate, everything cleaned and left better than how she found it I cannot recommend Cuisine by Lela more highly. Every single dish Linda and her team prepared was absolutely incredible. The flavors were perfect, the presentation was beautiful, and it was clear that she uses high-quality ingredients. My family is still talking about the meal! Linda was so much fun to work with during the planning process. She nailed the menu right off the bat and the food exceeded all expectations! Her energy added so much to the evening. She is professional, warm, and made the whole night feel effortless for us so we could focus on celebrating with my grandmother. If you are looking for a private chef who is talented, creative, and a joy to have in your home, I cannot recommend Linda highly enough. She made our family dinner truly unforgettable! I saw pictures of this enticingly delicious looking breakfast sandwich for a "Hot and New" Business…read moreon Yelp....I won't tell you what my eyes were "saying" but I knew my mouth had to get around that sandwich. I visited Eye of the Avocado yesterday which is currently a pop-up in the former Sandbox Bakery/Pinkie's Bakery. On the menu is their signature sandwich which I couldn't even pronounce at first and later figured out that it was the acronym for the sequence of colors in the rainbow: Roy. G. Biv. DUH! They taught us this in kindergarten but I guess I was too busy flirting with Jonathan...this adorabley cute hapa boy (with the Jonathan Bower bowl haircut) that was in my class. Hmmm, I wonder if he's still single?! Back to that signature sandwich...the Roy. G. Biv. - 7 minute egg, herbed butter, cheddar, pickled veggies, brioche ($10). And, what's a breakfast sandwich without bacon (+$3) and avocado (+$2) so I added them both. Gluten-free bread available for +$2. Eye of the Avocado also sells a handful of pastries and coffee. I know $15 is a lot to pay for a breakfast sandwich for a non-sit down restaurant (there's only 3 counter seats and a bench outside) but you're paying for top-notch ingredients here and supporting a small local business. The Roy. G. Biv. may very well be the contender for one of best breakfast sandwiches in San Francisco (with a few tweeks): http://bit.ly/2iMMVrF. The brioche is buttered before toasting which creates sumptuously caramelized edges. The thick bacon was rich and crispy (not too salty) while the perfectly ripe avocado added another layer of butteryness with the pickled veggies giving a punch of acid. The breakfast sandwich had great layers of flavors and was deliciously satisfying. But, you only get one slice bacon so half of the bites were bacon-less. For the price, you should be able to taste the bacon in every bite. I also wish the egg yolk was runnier. IMO, you can't have the ultimate breakfast sandwich without egg porn. The owner and the cashier were super nice, enthusiastic, and you can tell they love what they do. Eye of the Avocado is only running for a couple of more weeks so go get your mouth around the Roy. G. Biv. while you can!

He was very responsive over emails as he and I planned the dinner unbeknownst to my husband, and very patient with my indecision over what he should make. Ultimately we decided on a 4-course meal of Cajun-style food (with no shrimp because I hate it!) since our favorite food destination to date has been New Orleans. Chef Peter locally purchased all of the food necessary (we got to keep the leftovers!!), and was patient with the state of my non-optimized kitchen as he was cooking. [Edit: and he left my kitchen spotless!] He was friendly as he served us but let us keep to ourselves while we ate (we're rather private like that), and he was really great about working within our budget. Overall I'd absolutely hire Chef Peter for a dinner party again, and you should too! I'm only sorry there aren't more pictures - everything looked and smelled so good that I was in too much of a hurry and started eating before thinking to take pics! Un-pictured but still to-die-for courses were: - Spinach Salad with warm bacon dressing, heirloom tomatoes and imported flaked parmesan - Chocolate Bread Pudding with bourbon glaze
