Not only does she deliver wonderful cuisine from her culture -- you can tell that all her heart goes into each one of her recipes -- she is attentive and caring. She will work with you to make sure that your event, whatever it may be, goes smoothly and that her catering services meet your needs. On her site, she lists variety of services ranging from personal meals to larger gatherings. I had the pleasure of enjoying her food this past Sunday at a bigger event. I have a sweet tooth, so my favourite dishes were the chocolate filled baklava and Lebanese cannoli. But all of her food (Armenian cheese pies, hummus wraps, spring rolls with tabbouleh, date-filled cookies, and more included in the photos below) is amazing. Ani was the private chef for my husbands birthday party! Our house was under construction and she brought everything we needed for the party and cooked the whole meal in our backyard. The food was so good! Extremely fresh and tasty, especially the zaatar flatbreads she was making right there. Ani catered our son's one-year-old birthday party. Her food was amazing, and she was a delight to work with. All of our guests raved about the food and several pulled me aside asking for her contact info. We had a ton of leftovers, and upon offering some of the leftovers to friends, they leapt at the opportunity! It's hard to choose which dish was the favorite, because it was all so good, but the Mediterranean pizzas, hummus, salad and spanakopita were my personal favorites. Ani's food is really good! She is also a warm and friendly person. Last night, we had her falafels, tabouli and hummus with warm pita bread. I also sampled her delicious food at a party last year. Her falafels are tasty, the hummus deliciously creamy with a few pieces of chick peas in it (my mom would call that "country style"), and the tabouli was lemony and refreshing. I made two falafel sandwiches and used the last piece of pita to sop up all the remaining hummus and tabouli. I sprinkled on some sea salt crystals and cayenne pepper to suit my particular taste, and I was in absolute heaven! Ani is wonderful! We hired Ani to make the food for a birthday party we were throwing for our friends' daughter's 1st birthday party. Since the party was being attended by mostly adults - vegan adults, gluten-free adults, meat loving adults - we opted for Mediterranean food and approached Ani. We were already fans of many of her dishes from having had them at the Kensington Farmers Market, so we knew we were in good hands. Ani helped us choose the menu and offered to loan us serving dishes if we needed them, we did. She made most of the food ahead of time and arrived a few hours before our party to finish cooking and preparation in our kitchen, and she helped me set the table. While she was in our home, she told us the stories behind the dishes -- their history and where they came from, their cultural significance, the soul of the dish - which was fascinating and deepened our appreciation for the food she was preparing. Ani is as much food historian as she is a talented cook. The food was fantastic, and our guests kept commenting on how good the food was long after the party.
