Since I had time, I walked down to the show, check out the cars and the band, and gave Hella Bomb a try, despite not being particularly hungry. I ordered one street taco--cilantro lime chicken. I mentioned it was my first time eating their food, and I'd heard they were, in fact, Hella Bomb, and the server said they were! And that she wasn't just saying that because it was her brother's business! The taco came with a lime wedge, some radish slices, and chips. Served on two small corn tortillas with a generous helping of chicken topped with green salsa. Oh, and a VERY HOT (for me) grilled pepper. Looked like that pepper could have been a mild shishito pepper, but since I wasn't sure and I can't do spicy like I used too, I took a tiny bite. Not a shishido! So beware if you can't handle a bit of heat! Not expecting too much with my first bite of the taco, I was actually quite surprised! I'm sure my eyes opened a bit wider with the happy flavors rolling through my mouth! It was delicious! Moist, tender chicken with a tasty marinade--wish I were hungrier so I could eat another! Since the taco was so stuffed with meat, I loved the side of chips to scoop up the bits of chicken that fell out with each bite! Yes, I will have Hella Bomb again! My W will love those tacos, too!

When they came to pick up their serving trays and utensils, they tried to hand off the fried rice to us, hours after we all finished eating, but not for free. Why would we need rice at 4 p.m.? That misstep could have been handled in a much better way. I would think twice about using them again.
