But this day - a Saturday afternoon - before going into Ben's Chili Bowl which is directly across the street from the boutique I caught the traffic light and ran across the street and into the boutique. It's small and quaint, with a relaxing and welcoming vibe and I was immediately greeted upon entering by the associate behind the counter. She gave me the run down about the fashions and sales. This boutique has some really beautiful well-made clothes - very unique in designs and styles. So I made my way to the back where the sale's rack was; always on the lookout for a sale. I bought a pair of suede crop pant with embroidered design around the waist and styled with studs on the outside seams and pockets. Sounds busy but they are baaaaad; not too much but just enough to pair with a blazer, shirt, sweater or jacket. What I was not excited about was having to wait outside for 10 minutes just to get in. It might have been explainable had the store been packed once inside - it wasn't, and half of the dressing rooms were even empty when I went to try on a few items. It seems like they're trying to create some aura of exclusivity, but this isn't Hermes or Chanel... Once inside the staff was helpful and friendly, but many items I was interested in were unavailable/sold out in small sizes. Overall I'd suggest shopping online.

I stumbled across this shop after almost two years of working right by it and never noticing it…read morebefore, as it's in an apartment building with only a small sign indicating that there's a consignment shop inside. The store is really small, but I was really excited upon walking in, as the racks were really well stacked-they manage to cram lots of clothes, shoes, purses and accessories into that small space. I'm used to consignment shops in DC being fairly upscale though, and so I was surprised to see lots of mid-range labels-Jones New York and Anne Klein and the like. What shocked me most was when I spotted a pair of shoes which I recognized immediately as being from Payless, as I happen to own the exact same pair. The people working there must not be familiar with the label, as the shoes were marked at $25, whereas I bought them new for $18.99. In fact, I got the impression that as a whole, they weren't very knowledgeable about labels, as lots of inexpensive brands seemed to be overpriced. There were bargains to be had though, as some things seemed to be very under-priced. A $15 Zara skirt comes to mind (sadly a couple sizes too small for me though), as does a cashmere Sacs cardigan, which would have been a bargain were it not for the hideous bright pink color. Like many consignment shops, you could potentially find some great deals here if you have a lot of time and patience and have a basic idea of how much various labels are worth. Additionally, it could be a great place to consign if you have a lot of stuff that doesn't quite meet the standards of Secondi or some of the other more upscale consignment stores in the area, but want to try to make a few bucks rather than just donating it to Goodwill.

I have never pushed a stroller before 2. The price of a stroller range from a minor purchase to exceeding one thousand of dollars... what do you get for your money?? You'll never figure this out by looking at them online or reading. You have to push it around a bit. ChatGPT will tell me? Nope. You have to try it out. 3. How do you collapse these things? Or extract out the detachable bassinet? Or put the second bassinet in there? They do not let you do this at Target or any other store we've been to. There was staff giving impromptu lectures on how they work, can they be carried onto a plane, do you have to gate check them, anything you'd want to know. Frankly, I have no idea how you'd make this purchase otherwise. Sure, maybe you're a baby-strolling veteran, and know all the latest, but I didn't. Same thing with car seats. Some swivel out and make it easy to extract your child. Others let you pop the bassinet out of the car seat and put it right on the stroller... but not all of them... and not all brands mix and match. I'm telling you... as a soon-to-be first-time dad, I left there so much more knowledgeable about how to approach this problem. I learned pitfalls, preferences, and, most importantly, what it feels like behind the wheel of a baby-moving contraption that seems on par with the Mars rover.
