We had the chicken and veggies and the chicken teriyaki. They give you sauce that's gluten free. We had the salad with it. The sauce on the salad is gluten and dairy free. I didn't see a gluten free menu at this location but you can always ask. If your around and looking for more then a burger with these allergies, the it out! read more

They charge extra for chicken breast which is served with super salty, globs of teriyaki sauce. The chicken is just weird! It consists of very thin strips that are seriously either too hard to chew or knuckly and spam-like in texture that taste like freezer burn. For $14 you can have this icky chicken, 2 little scoops of rice, and about 5 cents worth of iceberg lettuce "salad". The place is grubby inside, service was slow. I don't like giving bad reviews but here is one. I haven't been here In years and was in the area. Well, I think they're under new ownership because the setup was different and the workers are very young and seemed confused when there was a payment issue on their iPad system. We did split payments and they messed up how much cash we gave them vs what they put in their systems so they kept saying we owed them more but really we didn't. I talked to them for ten minutes explaining how to correct it, even when the owner came out. The staff had to use Google translate to explain and he still couldn't help us. I've worked in the food industry so I was super patient but don't hire staff, and not train them on systems. You're setting your business up for failure that way. The food wasn't bad, this review is solely on my experience with the staff. I know they meant no harm but seriously, y'all gotta train people before you just throw them into the job. read more

We were wanting something quick for dinner that was not McDonald's/Taco Bell and was close to our home. We gave this place a try - getting our food to go...I selected Chicken Teriyaki with Rice/Salad. My husband selected the Beef Teriyaki Rice Bowl because it had the most "Rice" option with Egg Rolls. Our order took a little long because of the "beef" option. Overall the food was the same that can be obtained at places that serve these types of food. The egg rolls were okay but very crispy. The salad - although plain - was my favorite but needed more dressing than the little cup provided. The portion quantity is great for sharing. We will be back though since it's local and close by and will satisfy my craving for Teriyaki. read more

I am actually giving it a 0 star! I NEVER write reviews but for this one I had to. Our favorite Teriyaki place (KC Teriyaki) was closed this day so my wife and I decided to try JT. It was horrible to say the least. I got the Kung Pao Chicken and Teriyaki chicken combo... TC was almost edible. The Kung Pao was so dry (and cold) it had the consistency of Beef Jerky texture! The fried rice was complete trash.. it was not even fried.. they had thrown frozen steam-able (not joking) veggies on it. I wasted 30 dollars on complete garbage. Banquet Frozen dinners are better than this place. JOY TERIYAKI, people work hard for their money so please step up your game with edible food. I am so sorry to write this review. We have been to this location several times in the past and the food has been good, as well as the service. We have been trying to support local businesses through the Covid times. We are literally 5 minutes away from this location and just wanted a couple of orders of their Spring Rolls and some rice. The Spring Rolls were absolutely cold. Refrigerator cold. Not just cool. The rice was scarcely warm. We ordered take out or I would have sent it back. I called and talked to the person that took the order and asked him and he replied, "oh they had been sitting for awhile". Absolutely unacceptable. Maybe the Food Inspectors should visit? What a huge disappointment. This Joy Teriyaki location is NOWHERE NEAR as good as the other Joy Teriyaki locations I've been to. First off, the portion sizes here are much smaller than the others. Secondly, the quality of the food is really sub-par, far worse in quality and flavor than the others. Particularly bad was the salmon...it may well have been spoiled before they cooked it. If this was my first visit to Joy Teriyaki, I'd conclude that they're not a good chain. This location is the exception, and is definitely not representative of the other company locations which are superior. I won't be returning to this location. read more

I didn't want to jump to conclusions because I personally have never experienced it but the cashier was really rude and possibly racist. I say it because I had a dine in experience with my girlfriend and when we were ordering she was really rude. My Girlfriend asked for a minute to look at the menu and I guess the cashier thought my gf said a menu to which she had rudely replied "this is our only menu." After my gf says "Oh I meant a minute" the cashier doesn't even apologize and walks to the back. She then came back to the front only bc the DoorDash bell goes off and she had to grab the order which is when my gf lets her know "we're ready when you are." The cashier doesn't acknowledge us or anything. We brush it off and say thank you and continue w our dine in. I notice that a couple different white customers come and her attitude is changed. She has a little conversation with them and whatever. At this point it's a little suspicious but I try not to pay it any mind. Fast forward and a black lady comes in with her daughter. When the black lady goes to order she asks the cashier about a couple items on the menu to which the cashier rudely replies to her, "Well this is our menu." Once their order was ready the black lady asks for sweet and sour sauce and the cashier once again rudely replies, "It's in there!" At this point I'm thinking that maybe the cashier is just having a bad day. So whatever. Then a white man comes in to order and I joke you not, he asks for her opinion on an item on the menu and she gives her full on opinion on it. In any case, I think she racist and I won't be coming back to this restaurant. I took my kids their last night. We were in a good mood we were excited to try them out because they are just down the road from the house. When we do choose to go out to eat we try to choose little local businesses in our area. I had eaten there with friends before the shutdown and thought the food was decent although a little overpriced, but we were willing to give it another try. The younger girl working was so incredibly rude. I know life is tough for so many of us so I was very kind and patient and she continued to be rude no matter what. She's lucky she got a 15% tip because she has no business working in customer service. When she finally served us our food, along with our appetizers that we planned on eating before the rest of our food came, it was in styrofoam containers. I thought maybe she thought our food order was to go and she rudely replied that they don't serve on real dishes. So we sat there with our 6 styrofoam containers eating an overpriced subpar meal. We waited over 45 minutes for one order of teriyaki chicken & rice, to-go. When we asked about our order, they had no record of it, along with orders of the few other people in the restaurant. The atmosphere of this location is actually pretty clean and has the feel of an oriental food spot even though it's all latinos who work there. My favorite thing to get from here is the teriyaki chicken that has jalapeños in it. The chicken is cooked perfectly, grilled to the right amount, great texture and the perfect amount of teriyaki sauce put on the chicken. Also, we ordered spicy chicken, but instead received dry and over-charred chicken. We drove all the way back and they said they would only give us one of our meals, since we didn't bring back the bowls. The bowls that they would have simply thrown away anyway! First visit.... I ordered spicy chicken breast with steamed vegetables. My daughter ordered tofu and vegetables and yakisoba noodles and vegetables for her son. It was very busy, I usually think that's a good sign. Waited at a sticky table and the server brought our food out after she handled everyone's money. That isn't something I notice a lot. My chicken was grizzly (chicken breast) I couldn't eat about 7 pieces.... the steamed vegetables were steamed but very cold. Oh and I almost forgot, there was a short very black hair in my food. The dish came and the chicken was drowning in this so called spicy sauce that was more on the side of a sugar lick...okay move onto the second day. Surely this was a one off and the kung pao would be better...well I was wrong. This had the same base as the spicy chicken and this time around I got even more sauce...I mean soup...and even sweeter. Went to Joy for the first time tonight aftrr being open about a week. Initially, I did not like the vibe. The restaurant looked unfinished and the employees all seem to be the young and don't care type. I don't want to judge them too soon but they definitely need a crash course on customer service and appearances. As for the food, well, it was subpar for sure. We ordered spicy white breast chicken and beef. The chicken tasted like stale cardboard and was rubbery. I am actually surprised it tasted so bad. The beef was average at least. Neither tasted fresh or freshly grilled. It was served with plain white rice and that's it. Overall, I will certainly never be back as Ichi Teriyaki 2 minutes away is superior with much better customer service and food. read more
