He was friendly, professional, and the store, although almost hidden from the rest of the shopping plaza, was clean and easy to get to. His service on my computer was delivered promptly at the agreed-upon time, and I was called once my laptop was ready. He was also ready to answer any follow-up questions and was quite helpful, even though the service itself was free. As a Testimoniacs expert, I would recommend Dave's Computers to anyone who, like me, wouldn't necessarily consider themselves to be computer-savvy, but needed some professional assistance of the right kind. I highly recommend one to take the opportunity to get their computer diagnosed for free; visiting Dave is worth the drive. Rachael

    Would give them a negative 5 stars if possible. Total scam operation! First they tell me I need a…read moreVPN, which I sign up for ($400). Then, they call back a few weeks later to tell me my email is infected and need another $400 to fix. What good is the VPN if it can't do what it's designed to do? Told them to take a hike. Yesterday, they call and tell me my Apple security is not setup and instruct me to immediately go to Walmart and purchase (again $400) in ITunes cards which the fee will be refunded within 48 hours. Once again, told them to take a hike. They get access to your machine, infect it, then charge you for the repairs. Never had issues until they got involved (thought I was working with Microsoft). During their second attempt to scam me, the guy with remote access would not allow me to move my curser to kill the access. Luckily I have a touch screen machine and shut them down. I have been nothing but pleased. My computer froze on Thanksgiving in 2016..I called them in a panic, I had to be up and running the next day. It was. I can't tell you how many times I have called them to fix things. I have recommended them to multiple friends who have had computer issues (my friends called them, not the other way around) with absolutely no problems. They have never failed to resolve my device issues. Yes, it costs money to subscribe for a year per computer, however, I have had much more costly local technicians, who keep my computer for days and I was not any more satisfied than I am with TEK PC..I can assure you, they would not have been available to get me up and running on Thanksgiving (or the many, many times I have needed help on the weekends Saturday and Sunday). I am well aware of scammers who call you and try to get money and do nothing...I have not experienced TEK PC to be one of those. As a matter of fact, I had the message pop up on my screen which scared me to death...I called TEK PC, they investigated it and determined it was from a scammer, made sure my device was clean and all was good. I call them anytime I have something suspicious happen...Happily, they check it out and assure me it is fine or take care of it if it is not. I have been completely satisfied with their service, and reliability. I will continue to use them for all my devices.

    I'm a hoping that this gets published because I know Yelp throws out bad reviews but this has to be…read morereported. In fact I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and we are seriously considering a lawsuit. A complaint has already been filed with Toshiba as well. We went to Zia at Reliance because Toshiba identified him as the authorized repair shop in our area. We needed the outer plastic case replaced on our daughter's laptop due to a crack. The laptop worked fine there were NO other issues. Not only did it take much longer than he originally quoted us & he did not replace a missing screw, it had some sort of glue or other substance dried all over the screen. Since he needed to order that and we needed to bring it to her at college we said we would bring it in over break. (Also one of the keys didn't work and the touchpad corner was coming up) After the next repair, it appeared to be fine, but he made some remark about hoping I had backed up the hard drive because he thought it was going. Turns out the hard drive has been fine, but the fan is going and making noise (there was nothing wrong with it before) Out daughter took it back to school and 2 days later in class it stopped working. The res-net at school looked at it and determined it was the monitor that he just replaced. If you plug it into another monitor you can use it. Not useful when you don't have another monitor and need it in class! Every time we took this computer to Zia at Reliance it came home with problems it never had. The receipt for the new screen does not have the computer serial number and model listed. I believe he knowingly used a bad screen. I believe he damaged the fan. I should have gone with my instinct to run when I first walked into his messy closet like store in the 1st place, but I was putting faith into the fact that Toshiba said he was authorized. I do not know how they determine that, I now highly question what that actually means. Now we are left with a laptop that we spent $335+ to repair that is basically a paperweight. Toshiba won't stand behind it and their repair shop. I will not walk into or ever send anyone to this shop, ever!!! Stay away if you value your electronics and go elsewhere. Also, don't ever buy a Toshiba, they are also useless.

Instead, I get a call that he "fixed" one computer and that I owed him $125. That computer was not only not fixed but he said that he did not know how long nor how much to repair the keyboard. I paid him and took my computers and left immediately. I was so afraid that I would not get my two top end laptops back from him if I did not. Please stay away.

    John Holloway is great at what he does. Friendly, patient, professional, personable…read more Friends or even a few customer service representatives we contacted about computer and printer problems would guide us in fixing things without teaching us anything. Or sometimes these dial-an-expert types would have me perform a quick fix and, in the process, change other settings leaving us with new, confusing problems. One problem Epson customer service didn't help me with concerned my printer that I bought because it was wireless. Except after a year it still didn't print wirelessly. Not only did John fix that but he set up 2 choices in the computer software so that I can print with the Epson connected to my laptop when wifi is out. Also, he understands what would be helpful for us to know and what we don't need to know. Just like I don't need to know everything about how my car works in order to use my car efficiently. We hired him to work with us for an hour, even though there are lots of things we know he could have taught us that day. After an hour, we were at overload, and just wanted to practice the things he showed us. But we will certainly hire him again to show us how to use our iPhones, the TV remote, how to use Netflix etc. He left us a folder with pages of definitions of "techy" words. He is knowledgeable about the PCs (Dell) my husband uses, and Apple products like my MacBook Air laptop. It's great feeling that we can still be in touch with all the young people in our family, even in spite of shelter-in-place, and also that we can access all the great entertainment available online. That's what John did for us.
