It's been a while since I've had my laptop checked out and I'm a student so I only use it for a few things, but Dave looked at it personally and got my speed and antivirus software up-to-date. He was friendly, professional, and the store, although almost hidden from the rest of the shopping plaza, was clean and easy to get to. His service on my computer was delivered promptly at the agreed-upon time, and I was called once my laptop was ready. He was also ready to answer any follow-up questions and was quite helpful, even though the service itself was free. The worst experience i ever had dealing with any business. The guy is rude, impersonal and so rigid that is unbelievable. He refused to accept a coupon that he himself posted on his door to the office. The paper does not say it has an expiration date, it does not say you have to present it the day you pick up your product and definitely does not specify of any restrictions or limitations on the coupon. I brought our family laptop with a corrupt hard drive to Dave. His assistant Ashley could not have been more professional and patient with all of my questions. Dave was able to recover my data and install a new hard drive. Our back up drive was also corrupt so he did not have a lot to work with. Found them through Google. They were able to take me quickly. ----- Great. There was an extra fee to rush it. ----- Fine, no problem. When I received my laptop back it was very messed up including my MS Office documents (Word, Excel, etc....) were ALL converted into software called 'LibreOffice' which they installed on my laptop. My email was disconnected from the interface I had it attached to. Desktop format completely changed and on and on. ---- Let's fix it. Called and was told that I need to bring my laptop back to them and drop it off to fix THEIR mistakes. I would lose at least a full day of working on my laptop and that is a 1 hour round trip for me x 2. I asked for them to just link into my computer and have them fix the problems they created and was told I had to pay for that. They created the problems and how do you justify $50 dollars to link into my device? I asked to speak to the Dave of Dave's computers and was told he will tell me the same thing with a little laugh. I chose not to give them another dime. Scam? Or they don't understand how to run a business. Very disappointing. read more

I brought my desktop in after it was having issues turning on. After a quick assessment, I left it there with the promise they would take a look at it ASAP. Shortly after lunch, maybe two hours later, they got back to me with the news that my motherboard had failed. They offered to transfer everything over to a new tower that would be comparable and they even offered to upgrade me to windows 10. Overall, it was a bit expensive, but my computer was up and running + upgraded within hours of the initial drop-off. I called ahead to make sure they were open and that I could drop off my computer to be repaired. I told the person who answerrd the phone that I would be there shortly and he just said okay. I broke down my computer setup and loaded it into my car and drove 25 minutes to get there. When I got there I carried my computer inside, then went back out again to get the software. The person asked me for all my personal contact information and what problems I was having with my computer. Then and only then do you find out that they require $75.00 upfront just to diagnose the problem. I didn't bring any money with me because I just assumed that I would be paying when it was finished and ready to be picked up. So basically, I just wasted a good hour of my life which I'll never get back. Gee, don't you think it would be a good idea to let people know thay before they drive all the way there???. I'm guessing that they purposely don't mention it until your inside and standing there with a heavy computer in your arms assuming that you'll just pay it at thay point. If they told people about the $75.00 upfront before coming there they would probably loose customers. Also, think about it, you or I could open our own computer repair shop. Charge $75.00 upfront to diagnose the problem, call the customer the nexy day and just say that the computer can't be fixed you would need a whole new motherboard, come get your computer and oh yeah, thanks for the $75.00. In the end, I ended up finding a GREAT computer repair shop that came to my home and picked up my computer. They brought it back two days later and just charged me a flat $65.00 for one hour of labor, no taxes or any additional fees. read more

I have seen Dave a few times. First he helped us set up our website for our rental vacation condo. Then he helped us integrate with the community websites. He has also gotten us an availability calendar. I am not good with computers. I went in with problems using our computers which are on old operation systems; they have problems with current programs, even mail. Dave discussed how I can still use them and even provided a work around. We also discussed getting a new one. Unlike the big box store, he had multiple choices, especially with 7 vs 8, and different makes. He knows his stuff and there was no pressure. I have been going to Dave for the past couple of years for my computer repairs (mainly hard drive failures on my Lenovo and Toshiba laptops). Dave is a super nice and honest guy. I get a little stressed when it comes to hard drive crashes and the possibility of data loss. Dave's exceptional knowledge and calm demeanor eases the anxiety and he always resolves my issues in a very timely manner. His service is always very professional and efficient. My most recent issue was a total hard drive death on my Toshiba last week. Dave installed a new hard drive and recovered all of my Windows Mail folders, documents, pics, data, etc. I picked up my computer on Sat. 01/31 and spent that night and all day Super Bowl Sunday re-installing my software (Microsoft Office, Norton, QuickBooks, etc). I had trouble importing my business data back into QB and contacted Dave on Sunday. He actually replied and ended up doing a Remote Support session with me during the second quarter of the Super Bowl! Dave goes far above and beyond of any other repair service that I used before he opened his store. It seems like he works tirelessly even before and after store hours to do whatever it takes to keep his customers happy. I'm an inquisitive person and ask Dave questions if I'm waiting in his store, and he always has good advice. One shocking stat for readers: I was surprised to hear that less than half of the computers he repairs has the data backed up to an external source. If I hadn't had my data saved to an external hard drive, the recovery / repair would've taken at least 2 weeks and cost at least $500, and much more than that depending on how many GB the hard drive is. . WORD OF ADVICE: Save yourself a world or worry and invest in an external hard drive! You can get a 250GB from EBay or Amazon for about $40, which is a smart "insurance policy" that could save you many hundreds. read more

Dave's computers was great when I needed to find a computer to operate some imaging software that required some specific operating systems. He has helped with a number of other computer issues, and I most recently signed up for their managed Web Protection which works great! We use a shared computer to operate some sophisticated imaging equipment and having this anti-viral protection against web and external drive sources is definitely worth the small expense. read more

My computer started going glitchy a couple of weeks ago (required numerous restarts) and finally got to the point where the programs would not run at all. My husband thought it was a problem with the hard drive not being recognized. I have an old laptop that I use as a backup that was running so slowly that I considered junking it.
