In fact, I thought I would need four links removed, but after looking it over, he suggested we try taking three off first, and he turned out to be right! The price for the adjustment was exactly what I expected. There was a nice selection of different brands and types of jewelry, including some very cool original designs by the proprietor. I highly recommend this place, especially to people who believe in supporting small, local businesses.

Look, but do not touch!…read more This shop is full of beautiful items, but the shopping experience there is awful. Prices are rather high at full retail. Many items are not priced nor are accessible to look at. In my shopping experience there today, the owner refused to show me a second item and asked: "Are you going to buy it?" followed by: "Come back when you are ready to buy. I am busy and have things to do." He shadowed me--the sole customer in the store--while I was looking at wooden jewelry boxes. When I stated that I would like to see the inside of one that was blocked by two others, he refused to move them for me and essentially asked me to leave the store. Prior to that when I was gently opening an accessible box, he warned me that if I break anything I would need to purchase it. First of all, any decent retailer would own breakage insurance and such practices of telling customers that they would be obligated to purchase anything broken, is really bad practice--and even more so when the customer is obviously being extra careful and even asking for the merchant/owner to move the items vs moving them herself. I saw a few potential items there that I was considering for a Bar Mitzvah gift as well as a potential well-needed jewelry box for myself, but now I will not bring any business there to a shop owner who is so discourteous. I do not recommend this shop for anyone else unless you know exactly what you want and are prepared to purchase it immediately. Also, they have a very poor return policy: only exchanges within 10 days; no returns for payment at all. That makes gift purchasing very undesirable, which is ironic for a store that sells primarily gift items.
