When I got home afterwards, I tried on my new shoes and to my chagrin, they didn't fit as well as I thought they did in the store. The next day I had to take my sister shoe shopping and brought her to this location. I brought my shoes back with the receipt and there was no hassle whatsoever with the return process. I even found not one but two pair of shoes and got both for right at $100. Not bad at all. This store is spacious, relatively clean and has a wide selection. I'm glad this worked out for me.

I can remember Nates name and there was a young lady with a beautiful name that started with an A, that I can't remember. They made my shopping experience five star. At the register, I was a bit of a pain trying to figure out the sale amounts and ALL of the staff, to include the manager on duty were more than patient, helpful and kind. The buy one get one 50% off sale made me able to get six pairs of really nice footwear for what I would normally pay for one pair. It was a lovely experience and not for nothing, some footwear brands actually still make shoes in real quality leather. I'm old school. Pleather is cute and environmentally conscious but it does hold up. At any rate - happy shopping experience indeed and much needed.

Unfortunately there was only one attendant in this small store and he was assisting customers so I did not have an opportunity to try on the shoes or ask questions. No problem! My current pair had been looking pretty crappy for quite some time - and were clearly on their last legs - but yesterday - while at my contract gig - the left one started making embarrassing little 'farting' noises with every step I took. Insert blush. So now that time was of the essence - I went online and selected several pairs of shoes only to discover they didn't have them in size I needed. So I chose any size available - just to generate a 'shopping cart' - then I printed said 'shopping cart' and hot-footed it over to the Famous Footwear Dallas Hwy location. It's spring break for a lot of the kids - so the place was pretty crowded. There was one young lady, Tiffany, working both the floor and the cash register. Tiffany took one look at my printed list and positively beamed at me. After that she was a site to behold - she was running around trying to find all 6 pairs of shoes on my list, while taking care of 6 different customers - yes 6 - I was there for a while and had nothing better to do but keep track. Three of the shoes I wanted were not in stock and she actually took the initiative to bring over 3 different comparable shoes for me to inspect. I know I'm gushing - but this was just such a stellar example of customer service! Not sure why she was the only person working - but she handled the situation like a true champ. She was cute, charming, funny, energetic, patient, determined - and a whole host of other adjectives I'm too tired to type. Not sure if you'll ever see this review - but if so - keep up the good work, Tiffany! You're awesome!

I am always hyper aware that I am being watched fairly closely when I'm in the store but today I overheard one of the sales associates complaining about a black man that was asking for him to unlock the cage for him to buy a product and him saying it's a privilege for them to even be here and when I asked for clarification of what was meant by that comment, I was just meant with a lot of performative confusion, but needless to say, I heard what I heard and will not be back.
