Fun fact- I was going to make this a 3 or 4 star review for two reasons. One there are no carts or bags to carry anything you wanted to purchase. That seemed so inconvenient to me because i usually buy a LOT of pairs of shoes when i do go shoe shopping here. But I must say, the staff were more than happy to assist me with my pairs. I can remember Nates name and there was a young lady with a beautiful name that started with an A, that I can't remember. They made my shopping experience five star. At the register, I was a bit of a pain trying to figure out the sale amounts and ALL of the staff, to include the manager on duty were more than patient, helpful and kind. The buy one get one 50% off sale made me able to get six pairs of really nice footwear for what I would normally pay for one pair. It was a lovely experience and not for nothing, some footwear brands actually still make shoes in real quality leather. I'm old school. Pleather is cute and environmentally conscious but it does hold up. At any rate - happy shopping experience indeed and much needed. read more

Yesterday I selected a pair of shoes from another DSW location. I was in a hurry because I had tickets to see Gladiator 2, which was an excellent movie by the way. When I got home afterwards, I tried on my new shoes and to my chagrin, they didn't fit as well as I thought they did in the store. The next day I had to take my sister shoe shopping and brought her to this location. I brought my shoes back with the receipt and there was no hassle whatsoever with the return process. I even found not one but two pair of shoes and got both for right at $100. Not bad at all. This store is spacious, relatively clean and has a wide selection. Needed slip resistant shoes for work, and had a brand in mind that I have been using several years. My regular shoe store was closed permanently, so I was prepared to run around town looking for my brand. Well, lucky me decided to try DSW store. Walked in, and was overwhelmed by the quantity and the selection of shoes they had. This store even had a few discount racks full of great shoes. So after browsing through the isles, I found just what I was looking for, and in a right size too. Life is good. Nice store, friendly staff easy shopping, and a reasonable price. Being a woman is overwhelmingly hard, especially when it comes to maintaining a diverse wardrobe. A prime example: shoes. Men can get away with owning two pairs of shoes, one for exercise and one for work. But we women can't subsist on such a scant number of threads, expecting them to complement every item in our closets. We need black closed-toe pumps, black open-toe pumps, black strappy heels, black comfortable flats AND black flat sandals. This only covers one color! Needless to say, shoe-shopping gets expensive. In this tough economic climate, I've transformed my shopping habits for good. In the past, I laid down $100 for a pair of basic silver BCBG Girls peep-toes that started showing wear within one week, nails poking through the heels soon after. Nevermore! I am a DSW convert. A couple weeks ago, I hit up this huge warehouse and found a pair of black leather boots that hit mid-calf and lace up the back (by Guess: $25); chocolate brown heels with a unique retro heel and camel-brown accents (by Nine West: $25); and a pair of neutral sneakers with touches of pink (by Saucony: $25). That's three pairs of shoes for $75--less than I would have spent on one pair back in the day! NOTE: I did score these screaming deals on the clearance rack, where the real bargains reside. The prices on the other merchandise are better than retail but still not great. Example: my mother purchased a pair of black patent leather Bandolino heels to put away for my Birthday: (DSW: $49 | retail: $70). But I indeed left DSW that day feeling high. read more

I ordered boots online from DSW , and they arrived with two left boots instead of a right and left boot. I was very devastated because I had planned to wear these boots during my planned trip the following weekend. When I phoned customer service, I was left in the phone for 20 min without any resolution. I then wrote a message to DSW explaining my dilemma, and I was told they would send me 100 reward points for my inconvenience ($5.00), which I found laughable. Here we have a company that makes over millions from the little guy, and they're sending me $5.00 for my inconvenience. I will never shop with this company ever again. Those of you who have been treated badly by this company are welcome to chime in on your mistreatment by this company that will be going out of business in the near future. I had a bad experience. And no, I don't want any cheese with my whine. Notice I rated DSW five stars. And I'm tough to please - just ask my husband. I bought a pair of boots in the fall of '09 at DSW. They were hands down, the MOST BEAUTIFUL PAIR OF BOOTS I'VE EVER OWNED. They were perfectly slouchy, with a great buckle and a heel that was just right - enough to make my 5'4" frame look tall, but without feeling like I'm going to tip over. And they were my first pair of pull-ons - no zippers here, ladies. I don't remember the brand but I reviewed the list on DSW's website and have good reason to believe that brand is no longer sold there. It was also the most expensive pair I've ever owned. Luckily, I had a Visa gift card and a $20 birthday coupon from the DSW club. In February of 2010, the boots ceased to function. I wish I had a video of me trying to take them off. The lining had ripped at the heel inside the boot forming a stirrup of sorts. When I pulled on the boot to take it off, it just got tighter. The most perfect boots in the world turned into FINGER TRAP BOOTS. (Or foot trap, rather.) Twenty minutes after my first attempt, it took my husband and a spaghetti spoon to pop them off. And I pulled a glut. Feeling enraged and with silent expletives, I headed to DSW with my boots and box in tow. "They didn't even last a season!" I screamed to myself. "There's still flower tread patterns on the bottom!" The manager was promptly at the front desk to assist. I explained the defect. She entered it into the computer - no questions. Until she asked "Do you remember how much?" I replied "X or Y amount, I think." (Y being the higher of the two.) She proceeded to ring it up on the box I had luckily saved. "Definitely Y amount," she said. "And you paid full price?" Yes. Which is exactly what she put on the DSW gift card for me, plus tax. My HALF EMPTY: boot season is over, so I couldn't buy replacements. More importantly, my HALF FULL: it's spring so I bought super strappy beautiful heels that I've already received about a hundred compliments on and that make me feel sexy. And I still have money for at least two more pairs. About the DSW members club. It's free. And there's no credit card that you can only use at one store required. They keep track of points for you so you don't have to remember to bring receipts from your last purchase. There is no reason not to join unless you don't wear shoes. DSW can't help a rare defect, but they do their best to help a customer. Two thumbs up. Five stars. More than enough said. read more

Ok, no joke people I have been to four places looking for shoes today. Did I find them at DSW? Nope. I have conceded to the fact that this year's shoes SUCK! Ok, Ok, even though I am a bit perturbed over my experience today I will allow my review to disclose how truly great this business is! DSW is one of two places off of Barrett Parkway that I will buy shoes. The other being Marshall's. They always have the latest and greatest shoes at really great prices! They also have an online app that I use. You can join their rewards club and look forward to savings when you purchase. When you walk in you may be a bit overwhelmed at how large this store is. No worries, just think of it as your workout for the day. If you walk up and down the isle you may just find that perfect pair. Well, today I DID NOT! DAMMIT! It's been quite a while since I'd been to this particular shoe store, and hadn't thought about it in quite sometime. A recent need for some nice dress shoes for a wedding found me recommended to check it out once more. I like the space that they have in this location, plenty of room in the aisles to explore shoes and I like how on display they are, easy to see from a distance. I noticed that they staff is a bit scarce to find, but for the visit I was just browsing anyway and wen I did have questions, the staff is polite and happy to answer questions. For anyone needing a new pair of shoes for any occasion really, I would recommend this place; I had found about three pairs that I would not have minded having in the back with the clearance section )which takes up a good 1/3 of the store itself) that were great for casual and cute wear! So very diverse in shoe types, though a bit more pricey than some stores, it's for sure worth it as they carry all sorts of wonderful brands! There is one brand in particular that was very comfortable on the foot that I cannot recall but plan to go back for one day. Check this place out for your next shoe-shopping adventure! read more

While I can find a great deal at any DSW, my husband usually has a hard time. This location in particular though posed quite a problem as their men's clearance section was pretty much nonexistent and the shoes he liked boasted a whole $5 off retail. Really, five bucks? I know there's a virtual plethora of shoe stores nearby but I was really disappointed he couldn't find anything he liked in our price range. Better next time, DSW! read more

There are no good shoe stores in E. Cobb so I made the trip (ok, it wasn't that far) to DSW. WOW, they have so many stylish shoes! The store is well lit and organized. Someone asked if I needed assistance. Since all the shoes are out on the floor you just pick out the one you want and try it on. The prices are good too. I found a pair of wedges that I wanted and they were on sale. Woo Hoo. I definitely will be back. Why isn't there a DSW in E. Cobb? Just sayin'. read more

I love coming here to look for shoes. That doesn't mean I find shoes every time. But the thrill is in the hunt. Right ladies? I love how neatly the aisles are laid out. I love the lighting. I love that there are those cute benches with the angled mirror on the side that make your ankles look SO SEXY in those new shoes you're trying on. I love how they call me honey, and bring me the latest stuff that has just come in, in my size, (Even though I probably won't buy it.) =) I love the back of the store. You know the place. Where the REAL bargains are found. I also love shopping with my girls here. They talk me into trying stuff on that my over 30 age would never have considered, and I leave feeling like a goddess that just won the hunt. I also love that I don't have to save reciepts to get a discount. They have a frequent Shoe Whore card, and you get lovely coupons and discounts in the mail for your birthday and otherwise. I love DSW. Good deals and a good assortment of shoes. Only downside was trying to find my shoe size. I was in there to find a nice pair of leather boots. This DSW is awesome!!! They have a wide selection of name brand shoes (sandals, sneakers, boots, special occasion, etc,) and accessories that are priced a lot cheaper than a regular department store. The store is clean and organized, and the sales associates are helpful. For those of you who have never shopped at DSW before, be sure to check out the clearance racks located at the back of the store and to ask the cashier about joining the rewards program to save some extra cash. read more

This location is near where I work, so I come in from time to time and look around. The staff is friendly and helped me sign up for their rewards program. This location is pretty large and has an alright selection... it is Kennesaw. Not much to add except the parking lot can be a bit dangerous with cars coming from all directions. read more

Very nice selection, although a little pricey. you can often find the same shoe across the street at Off Broadway for less. the staff doesn't help much since all the items are already out. they just walk around with shopping bags trying to give you one. they will order online for you if they don't have your size, color, etc, and ship it to your house for free if you have a membership card which is free. read more

Rude and unprofessional customer service. My mother whom resides in Illinois. Purchased a pair of Skechers Chargeable​ Shoes for her grandson and had them sent down here to GA. Along with the​ gym shoes,​ the original receipt from the purchase was included as well. Upon my son eagerly wearing the shoes for​ the first week of school I noticed that they no longer obtained the ability to light up. I then read the instructions and became aware that there was a specific cord that had to be used to re-charge these shoes. However, the box did not have this cord. I took time out of my lunch to ​go to the DSW located on Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw GA to inquire​ about the cord that failed to be included in the original purchase. I was rudely informed by the sales associate Raven that there was nothing that can be done for me. Raven then proceeded to turn away from me while I stood at the counter​ after she had pulled all of my contents out of the bag and box to​ assist another customer. As she was walking away she instructed me to just use another cord, despite the instructions of the manufacturer​ stating not to. read more
