On my last visit, I was lucky enough to experience their 40% off already reduced clearance sale and they had some items for my preteen for his current size & his next size up in styles/brands he likes. I have NEVER gotten such great prices in an Academy store, outside of the occasional clearance shoe. I was also able to use a store coupon for my son's baseball equipment which helped us save an additional 20% off his needs for the spring season. The staff was friendly & patient as I leveraged my coupon at check out and if I had any questions while shopping. I also appreciated their price check scanners to help me verify totals when selecting items. On a previous visit, we were able to score some nice basketball shoes that were reduced as well. With this in mind, I like to come in and browse from time to time because I never know what I will find. Some days we don't find much and others we find great deals. I like this location.

Alexander answered the call and he checked the store inventory to see if what I needed was in stock. After being on hold for 2 minutes he came back and told me they had 4 of the bikes in the store. I wanted to get it assembled in-house, he then informed me that because of the Covid they only have an assembler coming once a week and they have been there for this week already.. BUT that he would go check the floor to see if there was one already put together for me.. there was 1!!! I asked him would he hold it for an hour for me and I would be there to pick it up.... I walked in, asked for him and he had already pulled the bike down off the rack for me and had it ready to go.. Everyone in the store was pleasant and wearing masks.. this was a great experience for me..

A few hours after that, I arrived at the store, called inside for curbside pick up which is what was clearly stated in my email. First the young man says he doesn't have my order. When I asked why I would have received an email telling me the order was ready, he said he didn't know. Then he says, well we don't have curb side service. My email clearly provided that as an option. So which one is it, you can't find my order? Or are you simply to lazy to go and bring it out? Then he claims he can't hear me. I hung up, aggravated, go into the store. No one even said hello. I had to say I was there for my order to even be addressed, though there were no other customers in the store at all. It took three people who were doing absolutely nothing (2 black males and what looked to be either a biracial or young woman of Latin decent), all of 60 seconds to get my order from the back. Mind you, 5 min prior, I was told they didn't even HAVE the order. That entire staff needs to be let go and the manager needs to learn how to hire. I would give zero stars if I could.

The displays are supposed to lure me. The entry screams dull and boring. Why would anyone want want to see velvet hangers when entering the store at first site? Where is the beautiful stylish spring clothing display. It's summer! It's time for bright purses, swim wear and odd styled tops. What is wrong with this place! Another thing I noticed almost instantly is the lack of clothes for juniors. I have to wear junior clothes because of my size. I'm a small framed woman and the clothes in the women's department are too large for me. A woman's small is too large for me. I go over to where I think there would be a junior department, to find myself back in women's. This location also lacks shoes! What woman doesn't like shoes? Oh no Marshall's this is a big mistake. The shoe department lack variety, style and quantity. Marshall's in general is not a place where I go to look for specific things. As most consumers say, Marshall's is a hit or miss place. I stroll through looking for treasures. I am a high end shopper. For me this means I look for the quality in an item even if it's in Marshall's. I love clothing that has a lot of life it in. If the fabric is flimsy or looks too worn already , more than likely I will not buy it. I will not shop here unless I'm looking for velvet hangers.

Alterations by Amy!!!…read more I've been a client of Pat and her team for nearly twenty years! When my little niece would visit from Virginia, she would insist we go see Pat! She had her very first formal gown altered by Pat at just five years old--and Pat continued to tailor her dresses all the way through her final prom. Fast forward to 2025, my sweet niece was getting married, and this time it was Auntie who needed a gown altered! I knew the day had come for Pat to retire...and I was beyond thrilled when I learned Amy had taken over the business. This review is for Alterations by Amy! Amy is the best - she learned from the best & I am so happy to spend the next 25+ years as her client...when my niece has children...we will bring them to Amy! Amy! Amy! Amy!!! What can't you do!?!?! She totally transformed my very formal evening gown into the most stunning one-shoulder gown, perfect for my niece's outdoor summer wedding. She removed the long train, converted the buttoned halter neckline into an elegant one-shoulder design, and even added cups for shape and support - no separate bra needed! (Ladies!!! IYKYK!) The fit and finish were flawless, and the transformation was beyond my expectations. What amazed me most was that Amy made all these alterations the day before I was scheduled to leave for the wedding. She worked quickly and professionally, completing everything while I waited--and she even hemmed my husband's linen pants at the very last minute! The pricing was so reasonable, especially considering the level of craftsmanship, speed, and care she put into every detail. If you ever need alterations...big or small...Amy is the one to trust. She's a true lifesaver, a perfectionist, and an absolute joy to work with. Highly, highly recommend!
