On my last visit, I was lucky enough to experience their 40% off already reduced clearance sale and they had some items for my preteen for his current size & his next size up in styles/brands he likes. I have NEVER gotten such great prices in an Academy store, outside of the occasional clearance shoe. I was also able to use a store coupon for my son's baseball equipment which helped us save an additional 20% off his needs for the spring season. The staff was friendly & patient as I leveraged my coupon at check out and if I had any questions while shopping. I also appreciated their price check scanners to help me verify totals when selecting items. On a previous visit, we were able to score some nice basketball shoes that were reduced as well. With this in mind, I like to come in and browse from time to time because I never know what I will find. Some days we don't find much and others we find great deals. I like this location.

I get to the register I had a gift card from a promo they had and it was virtual so I thought it would be in the app. The cashiers know nothing about the app. I asked for a manager for assistance and everyone just looked dumb or def. Eventually right before they locked the doors I found what I need via the app with no help from the unknowlegable staff. The store is neat so I dont know what they really do there. A few hours after that, I arrived at the store, called inside for curbside pick up which is what was clearly stated in my email. First the young man says he doesn't have my order. When I asked why I would have received an email telling me the order was ready, he said he didn't know. Then he says, well we don't have curb side service. My email clearly provided that as an option. So which one is it, you can't find my order? Or are you simply to lazy to go and bring it out? Then he claims he can't hear me. I hung up, aggravated, go into the store. No one even said hello. I had to say I was there for my order to even be addressed, though there were no other customers in the store at all. It took three people who were doing absolutely nothing (2 black males and what looked to be either a biracial or young woman of Latin decent), all of 60 seconds to get my order from the back. Mind you, 5 min prior, I was told they didn't even HAVE the order. That entire staff needs to be let go and the manager needs to learn how to hire. I would give zero stars if I could.

Thins are not stocked, messes on shelves and sizes are hanging everywhere. Usually stay clear of clothes shopping. I needed PJs for a sleep study. I spoke with Pat about my ideas for alterations and she was very helpful with her recommendations. I then spent some time looking at their consigned items. I was really impressed with the variety in styles and sizes they had for wedding dresses. With the help of Amy and Brittany, I ended finding quite literally my dream dress. Though I did not end up getting any alterations here, I am certain that Pat would have done a fabulous job!! 10/10 would recommend going here. It was about an hour and a half drive for me but SO worth it and I could not be happier with the dress I picked out. I'll post photos of the dress once we get pictures taken.
