Thank you for the great job at our residence! Started on time, reasonable price and great service…read more Steve was friendly and very knowledgeable. Don't be fooled by not hiring and supporting our licensed contractors in Nevada! Steve is licensed with the NSCB and has 40+ years of experience. I'm so sorry that this review is 2 years overdue but I can't recommend Brown Masonry and Mr. Brown…read moreenough. Yelp really came through with this find. It was nice dealing with a veteran owned business that feels really personal with a hands on owner. For some stupid reason 1 side of my wall was basically missing a row of blocks. I've always HATED that my neighbor and I could stare into each other's patio doors without trying. I never wanted to offend him by asking to build the wall up but I took advantage to bring it up as they were moving out. He said yeah he hated it too so go for it. He's on the HOA board so my architectural request got approved within days and the search for a mason began. I got a bunch of responses to my Yelp project request with some saying they don't do small jobs like mine, some crazy quotes of 2k (assume that was F off pricing). Luckily Mr. Brown responded with an incredibly fair quote after I sent details and photos and I think he stopped by the next morning to drop off samples to make sure the colors matched. We got it scheduled pretty quickly and his in person quote was a little lower than the text quote, which has never happened before. It really says what a good and honest person you're dealing with. His guy came out on time, was nice and did a great job. The only issue was that I didn't think I had to mention the mortar should match the existing not match the block color. I didn't pay attention and only caught it after it was done. Mr Brown came out to take a look and his suggestion was to cover the brown mortar with grey. It's not an exact match (I knew it wouldn't be) but it's good enough and I really appreciate his quick response. Masonry work isn't something that comes up often but I will use Brown Masonry again any chance I get. Thank you so much Mr. Brown

We were recommended by our neighbors to check out Rock N Block! I'm glad that we gave them the…read moreopportunity to transform our backyard. Our sales rep Jake was awesome from start to finish. He mapped out the measurements of our backyard with great detail and precision. If you live in an area that has HOA, then you know what a hassle it can be to summit plans that they approve. Jake's expertise and experience helped navigate our dreams designs while meeting the HOA requirements. Maynor and his construction team were very hard working. The crew were very approachable to any questions or concerns I had during the process. Our house came with some pavers already put in from the builder. I had a concern that they wouldn't match the new pavers I wanted to put in. The construction crew blended the pavers together beautifully, they matched 100%. We decided on the Rockn' 80s for the turf and my kids love running around on it. The value that this company has is more than just receiving an awesome deal on landscaping. The hard working attributes of their employees is what makes them stand out! Highly recommended!

Jake from Rock N Block visited with us and planned out our back yard. He gave us our estimate and we signed happily. He was so pleasant to work with from start to finish. Rock N Block kept us informed of the start date and everything was as smooth as silk. The crew showed up on Monday morning and worked so hard in the hot sun. On Wednesday evening they were done and it looked incredible. If you are looking for a professional no nonsense company, this is the one to hire. We are so pleased with their work.

Absolutely ZERO consideration for neighbors! I live in a townhouse in Summerlin and my neighbor…read moreacross from me hired this company for masonry work on their stone facade. That's all well and good but they sent out three men on a Monday morning at 5:45 am who started with buzz saws, hammering, pounding, and yelling - violating county noise ordinances. The workers also started with loud music at 6:30 am. Truly rude and despicable behavior. No thought or consideration for others at all.... The job was finally finished at 2 pm. This could have easily been moved back in order to give people time to properly rest.

I've had them out twice to look at my wall alone and they refuse to send me an estimate for repairs or take any accountability for their poor work. No one is perfect and I'm sure every build is not perfect but take some accountability for when there are multiple mistakes. One supervisor came out advised me he will grab some brick and get it fixed, he never showed up. I found another supervisor in the area looking at more cracks and he told me he would send me an estimate. He also tried to blame the fact that I put three plants 3ft from the wall 2 weeks prior to him coming out even though the cracks started almost 6 months before plants went in. Even the plants/water excuse makes no sense especially if you drive around and see multiple communities, businesses, etc that have plants near walls and you don't see them failing like theirs.
