(as the kids say) It was crowded despite being early evening. The only available seats were at the bar area near the windows, which was fine because we were determined to experience the "new" place. We ordered the tuna tartare and lobstah rolls. The accompanying chips are homemade (slightly salty, but my taste buds are really close together). The host was attentive and gave us the royal treatment. We put this gem back on rotation and we are definitely returning!!!

Fork and Fire has an upscale Gastropub sort of vibe and offers an eclectic menu. My family and I visited on a Sunday around lunch time. Fork and Fire only offered their Brunch Menu at the time, which I didn't know. I was in more of a lunch mood, but they let me order the Black and Burger off the later menu, which was very nice. Not all cheeseburgers feature melty slices. The Black and Blue Burger featured Crumbled Blue Cheese, Pickled Red Onions, Smoked Bacon and Chipotle Aioli, on Toasted Brioche. The burger was huge and well cooked. So juicy it dripped. A flavor bomb. I also ordered the famous Kitchen Sink wings for the table, along with a side of Blue Cheese AND Ranch. The wings were super juicy. Top Tier Juicy. But the outer texture was still appropriately crisp. The sauce was sweet and savory, with a little bit of heat. Great wings. And the side sauces were terrific too. Service was very good. The atmosphere was terrific. Everyone enjoyed their orders. 4.5 Stars

I was welcomed with a compliment about my hair, and I was attended to right a way. The staff offered their recommendations and made accommodations when the large soup lids ran out. I ordered 2 large chicken soups, and a medium curry goat for my Jamaican husband. Followed by a friendly request from the staff to compare & rate the taste between Rocky Hill & Bristol. My husband enjoyed the meal & hesitantly said the Bristol flavors were more tasty. He smiled at the innocent tasting competition between his fellow "yard man", and he's looking forward to giving his review in person. PRO: Friendly staff, flavorful food (Deeper flavors than Rocky Hill), off street parking, and close to UConn Hospital. Also, they were collecting for the recent disaster relief following Hurricane Melissa, bless their hearts. CON: Beverage fridge was near empty. There were only 4 homemade lemonades available to choose. Interior could use more wall art like the Rocky Hill location.

I've known about this place for a while, and a friend reminded me that they recently changed locations. We were seated in the bar area at a high table and were given two menus: a happy hour menu that lasted until 6 PM and their regular menu. We figured we'd order a few things off of their happy hour menu while it was still going on, then move on to the regular menu after 6 PM, since we knew we'd be there for at least a couple of hours. We ordered a shrimp appetizer, gnocchi, fries, wine, and a white Cosmo to start. My absolute favorite was the grilled shrimp appetizer, even though the other two were very good as well. My friend's favorite was the gnocchi. From the regular menu, I ordered the ham and cheese croquettes and she ordered the regular cheese croquettes since she is vegetarian. We loved those as well. These four tapas were enough to serve as our dinner and we didn't have to order anything else. The service was fantastic and I thought that everything was priced very well. I liked that there was a parking lot right next-door. A friend met us. Later on for a final drink and mentioned that he liked this new location better than the old location. I would definitely return and try different tapas. Their entrées also looked very good. I really like this location because you can walk around and do other things after dinner in the area.

Service in the bar area and in the dining area were both wonderful. Both the waitress and bartender were awesome! I liked that the menu had items labeled gluten free. Always makes it easier. It was 3 of us that came out to celebrate my birthday and 2 of us ordered an entree and our other friend ordered tapas. We were all very happy with it. I had the grilled salmon and it was perfect! Since we got there a bit early we had enough time to order from the happy hour menu so we ordered Grilled Shrimp and Escargot and drinks of course. I love that they have a tray of desserts to showcase! Makes it easy or hard to choose from because they all look so good! I must say prices were good, service was wonderful, food was delicious! We all agreed we would go back!

(Being in the industry, I know there are always links, even w/ the best) The good- super friendly, large space, clean and big menu. The sampler platter was ok... corn fritter was a song.. The bad- I ordered take out via phone, was told 30 min. I showed up in 30 to find out they never put my order in. They offered me a beverage on the house which is great, but still sucks that I had to wait another 30 min. The ugly. The Cuban is not a Cuban, it was served on a plantain instead of bread, which had this been written on the menu, I would have skipped it. There was also no mustard on it. Thankfully I had some mustard and I removed the plantain to eat with a knife and fork. The other sandwich said it was chicken w/ sweet plantain, lettuce and tomato. It was very under-seasoned and again on plantains.. not a sandwich w/plantains. The fries were soggy at best. I really wanted to like this but I think they need to work out the rest of their issues. I would consider trying entrees but disappointed in tonight's selections

When we were arrived we were immediately greeted & decided to sit at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and attentive even though there were several large parties in the dining room. The restaurant is very spacious and beautifully decorated. They played Latin music in the background and even had a DJ with salsa lessons that started around 9:30pm. For food we ordered bacalaitos for the appetizer, they were smaller than traditional bacalaitos, but it was perfect for a starter & was surprisingly not too greasy. I had the Costilla de Res (short ribs) & risotto. The short ribs were very tender, falling off the bone, & full of flavor. The risotto was so smooth and cheesy it was delicious. My husband ordered the Mofongo with bistec encebollado. He said it was flavorful & the meat was tender. Overall there was great service, the vibes were on point, the food was delicious, & the drinks were great too. Only downside, I wish they were located closer to me lol. But we will definitely be back again. I'm really hoping they stay around for the long haul. I've always said CT needs their own "Don Coqui" just like NYC... & I'm really hoping this is it!

Wonderful atmosphere when you first arrive. I don't think there's a bad seat to be had. The food was fantastic. The service however was much to be desired. I don't know if they had no wait staff on the schedule but we arrived at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday and the girl at the front brought us to our table. I asked if they offered any non-alcoholic beers and she said yes but she didn't know what it was. Then she seemed embarrassed to tell me it's actually from a can. I was perfectly fine with that and I said I guess you can just bring me one. When our food arrived she then asked if there was anything else that we needed. I said Yes, silverware. None of us had any. She just didn't seem like she was a seasoned waitress, definitely felt like she was out of her element and perhaps she was just thrown into the role because she's seemed to be the only one running the entire floor. I believe they were four other tables seated. We will go back since this may have been an off day. I just hope that the service is better.
