She was patient and kind and gave him rest breaks. She let me assist with the x-rays by pressing the button so that she could hold the plate in his mouth and we did it so fast he didn't have time to wiggle. She also was able to brush his teeth and let him do it first and then tell him oh I'll take it back from you and can I show you how I do it. Dr. Hady was very kind too and tried to interact playfully a little bit with him before examining him. The place is clean and looks very fun. They will remind you a ton of times about your appointment through text message or call you if you don't respond to the text. I have come in and have the office be very full but today it was empty. The only thing that place lacks is the personal privately owned one Dentist type field. This is a West Coast dental affiliate, very cookie cutter, large dental office feel. But maybe those smaller offices are not around much anymore and they don't have the fancy equipment and fun incentives that bigger Dental Offices can do. I do believe that they do dentistry under anesthesia. And my daughter comes for orthodontic and hasn't had any issues.

Our assigned dental assistant came across as snooty and spent much of the appointment talking to my child about their teeth as though she were the dentist. The 'real' assigned dentist gave a similarly stuffy impression. While examining my child's teeth, this dentist seemed more interested in looking me up and down than simply saying hello or asking if I had any questions. It left me feeling unwelcome. Since there is no post visit survey, I felt compelled to leave this review with hopes that it will help improve our customer experience. Most of us work hard to provide dental insurance for our kids, pay the premiums and extra costs, and trust you with their care. As for many of the newer dentists-while everyone has to start somewhere, bedside manner is just as important as clinical skill. A little warmth and connection go a long way.

Long story short. Get a second opinion whenever they suggest something done right away and are…read morepushing to bill your insurance that same day. I took my child for a routine check up and while there they wanted to remove a baby crown with an infection right that same day. When I asked the dentist if she had an infection why he's not recommending antibiotics to treat it he said he didn't suggest it because they kids become immune to antibiotics. His answer didn't sit well with me and after having to refuse the service MULTIPLE times the front desk still came over and gave me a bill for the procedure I had already declined. When I checked out in the front they had me schedule for a future date for that procedure. Very pushy I didn't like it. And coming from WESTERN DENTAL and a veryyyy traumatic experience with my daughter I now have trust issues. So I left and got a second opinion with a highly recommended kids dentist in Riverside and he took more ex rays examined my daughters tooth and right away prescribed antibiotics and told me it's not even recommended to do any procedure or numbing when there's infection present because the numbing wouldn't even take. Soooo this other dentist was willing to put my daughter through another traumatic experience just so they can bill insurance. No wonder people have trust issues with dentists. That's why I was hoping to get everything taken care of the same day as my appointment, even though I was late. I also work two jobs, from 7:30am-9pm Monday through Friday, which already makes it very difficult to fit in appointments. I do my best to come in whenever your office has availability. Unfortunately, in this case I felt like I wasn't really being heard, or maybe I didn't ask clearly enough if it was possible to accommodate my situation--since it isn't easy for me to get days off, and I was also going to be out of town on vacation. If I hadn't been away, this wouldn't have been as big of a problem, but with this trip planned months in advance it made things especially hard to reschedule. That said, I truly appreciate Dr. Tanna's knowledge, skill, and care throughout my treatment so far. My concern is only with the scheduling communication and flexibility, not with the orthodontic care itself, which has always been excellent.
