I never felt rushed or like any of my questions were a bother. Most importantly, I felt like my daughter was in safe hands, which meant everything to me. I took my child for a routine check up and while there they wanted to remove a baby crown with an infection right that same day. When I asked the dentist if she had an infection why he's not recommending antibiotics to treat it he said he didn't suggest it because they kids become immune to antibiotics. His answer didn't sit well with me and after having to refuse the service MULTIPLE times the front desk still came over and gave me a bill for the procedure I had already declined. When I checked out in the front they had me schedule for a future date for that procedure. Very pushy I didn't like it. And coming from WESTERN DENTAL and a veryyyy traumatic experience with my daughter I now have trust issues. So I left and got a second opinion with a highly recommended kids dentist in Riverside and he took more ex rays examined my daughters tooth and right away prescribed antibiotics and told me it's not even recommended to do any procedure or numbing when there's infection present because the numbing wouldn't even take. Soooo this other dentist was willing to put my daughter through another traumatic experience just so they can bill insurance. No wonder people have trust issues with dentists. I had to pay the additional restricted delivery fee because I did not want the office manager, Dorrie, to intercept the mail and not give it to the doctors. This certified mail was signed for by an individual on 8/10/26. I am hoping that USPS followed through with a restricted delivery and that it was directly handed to the dentist, and not the office manager. I am waiting for the return receipt so I have proof of who signed for it. In the letter to the doctors, I explained what has been going on for the last 16 months, and I asked for a refund. I also let them know that I had filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I am giving this Office two weeks to refund our money. Otherwise, I will be filing an insurance fraud claim with Humana Dental. If you have been a victim of insurance billing fraud like our family has, I would encourage you to file a complaint with the BBB and to also file a formal complaint with your dental insurance company. This unethical behavior must stop.
