I love this dental office and I am the biggest chicken. Dr. Malecki is top notch and knows his stuff. I just had to have a bridge replaced after a very long run with the original. It entailed an extraction and a root canal which would normally have me put under sedation. I never needed it. It was painless. We've been going there for three years now and they are still amazing! It's really easy to get an appointment, especially in an emergency. About a year and a half ago my wisdom tooth was killing me. I got in the next day and Dr. Mallecki took it out- no pain what so ever. I was completely fine afterwards. My husband is nervous around dentists and he's great with him. I am the biggest wimp when it comes to the dentist. I think its the thought of someone over my with power tools. Dr. Malecki was patient with me and understood that it would take a lot of Novacaine. As we proceed he felt I needed Nitrous to take the edge off. Love this guy. Fast work and I never have to wait long for my appointment. What a terrible experience with Dr. Malecki. I have been a long time patient (almost 10 years!). I had a dental emergency today and I gave him a call to see if he could help. I received a call back from him and he told me to come on by the office. I live 5 mins away and hopped RIGHT in my car, as I am driving I get a call from him at 12:47PM asking if I had called (Im thinking to myself, what is this guy smoking?) and I tell him yes I will be there in 5-10 minutes and I would see him soon. I pull into the parking lot at 1:01PM and see the doors are locked. So i call the office several times and even try his cellphone trying to figure out where he is. After 25 minutes of sitting in his lot like a fool, I call his cellphone and he picks up to tell me he had to leave for a 1:00 doctors appointment.WHAT!?? You didnt mention that when we talked at 12:47!??. Dr Malecki then told me that he "tried calling me" to tell me to come in on Monday and I can file my tooth down with a NAIL FILE?!!What a piece of work and honestly talk about bad practice! I have been with him for so long that I overlooked some of the negatives about his practice. Like the fact that he smells like a pack of cigarettes every time he walks into the exam room. If you don't mind the taste of menthol cigarettes and unsanitary conditions... then he's your guy! If not, I HIGHLY recommend you look elsewhere. read more

I have been going to Dr. Malecki & his staff since 2011. It has always been easy to get a convenient appointment ( usually Saturdays). Dr Malecki is funny, thorough and the MOST KNOWLEGABLE Dentist on the Planet! The pain is minimal and he does not upsell what I do not need or want. His chairside assistant Loraine is great! I cannot say enough good things about his hygienist, Claire- she is licensed to give me local pain relief and like Dr. Malecki, explains what she will do, and does an excellent job cleaning my teeth while lowering my anxiousness. Ok so I work for a very large parcel service company and as you can imagine it gets really busy in December. All of a sudden in the middle of the controlled chaos my back tooth wants all of my attention and I have none to give. I knew I needed a root canal but I was hoping to postpone it until January. I called the good doctors office and they were able to fit me in that day to begin the process. I was pain free that day. The whole process was painless. I always hear people say how bad it is to get a root canal...sure I would have rather not had to get one but maybe everyone who complains about it is going to the wrong dentist. There are hundreds of dentists within a 15 mile radius of me in Chicago, IL, but I travel all the way to Elmhurst to go see Dr. Malecki. He is a family guy - so honest and trusting. I came running to him when another dentist messed up my Invisalign case - Dr. Malecki saved my smile. The front desk staff is so nice and helpful. They are straight forward and very attentive. The office is clean and contemporary. Dr. Malecki is always looking for the 'next thing' and has the newest technology and devices. The hours are so convenient - evenings and Saturdays. I never have trouble getting an appointment. Most Dr's will not give you their cell in case of emergency, but Dr. Malecki cares about his patients and wants you to have access to him in case something goes wrong. If there is anyone who follows the traditional standards of what a Dentist is supposed to be, it is Dr. Malecki. You can trust him for his honest opinion. He ALWAYS is in a good mood and ALWAYS follows sanitary and health practices. He has so much experience and is a well respected dentist in the suburbs of Chicago. read more

I've been going here for a few years now. This place was exactly what I was looking for. The staff is really nice and it's got a laid back vibe. I never feel like they are in any way just there to sell you on procedures you don't need. I literally tell on myself every time and point stuff out and I usually am told everything is fine and nothing really needs to be done. I've now got my Fiancé and my mom both going here and they both have had great experiences as well. read more

Just wanted to write an update since my first review was 7 years ago. I'm still going to Dr. Malecki and he is still awesome and so is his staff. I still have not had any problems with any of the work he has ever done and never had any issues with quotes or billing or insurance issues. Scammer! This grifter replaced my wife's silver fillings in the back of her mouth with white porclean for no reason knowing our insurance wouldn't cover it. Then he lied and told us that it would be covered; I got a bill for a few hundred bucks in the mail. On top of it, in the 3 months I was desputing this with my insurer he charged us with another $100 worth of late fees, refused to work with us on it, and threatened to send it to collections. Long story short. I received a root canal at his office, and the procedure went along fine. Him and his staff were friendly and the procedure was painless. However, a little less than a year later I started having issues with the tooth where the root canal was performed. I went to another dentist who said 1) The root canal was infected 2) the root canal shouldn't have been done in the first place and 3) it was done in a terrible manner. I then went to an endodontist in Elmhurst who said the same thing as the dentist. The endodontist tried to salvage Dr. Malecki's work, but to no avail. I had to lose the tooth and I am in my early 20's. Dr. Malecki's botched/unwarranted root canal has cost thousands of dollars and a lot of time. Safe to say, I will never be back and I would never recommend this dentist or anyone in his office. If the owner of the business tries to say "they have no records" of me, be assured that I was. read more

I adore this man. Seriously, I do. He's genuinely concerned for his patients, and a damn fine Dentisit to boot. I won't let another Dentist near my teeth, if I can avoid it. He's good at what he does, and he doesn't sugar-coat things. (Not that you would expect a Dentist to sugar-coat anything, you know, being a Dentist and all.) I have a problem with Dentistry - I have a tendency to, well, upchuck on Dentists. I told him, in advance, and he was okay with it - he just asked me to let him know how I was doing ( I use hand signals while he's working on my mouth.) The office is clean and comfortable, with minimal wait times. His front desk staff is WONDERFUL - and the Hygenists are also great! My prior dentist was focused on the money instead of working with me. I was going in for knee replacement surgery and Dr. Malecki worked with me and I was able to have the knee surgery. Dr. Malecki is super nice, funny, and he made me at ease while he was working on my teeth. The people who work for him are also super nice and helpful. I put a review on Yelp last week and now it is gone. WHO has the ability to remove reviews. Dr Malecki did 2 root canals on me. Both must be re-done due to the entire root was NOT done by Dr Malecki. One of the teeth became abcessed due to the entire root not being treated by Dr Malecki. The xrays the Endodontic of before and after she corrected the issues PROVE Dr Malecki only partially completed the process. I will monitor this review to see if it disappears again!!!!! read more
