I'm writing this review to share my experience after having two wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Jeffrey W. Chandler. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected, and it has been extremely troubling both physically and emotionally.
The procedure started off with an issue during the administration of the local anesthetic (lidocaine). While being injected, a vein or vessel was hit, causing uncontrollable bleeding. I was understandably concerned at the time, but the procedure continued. Throughout the extraction, I felt an unusual amount of pressure in my jaw, which I assumed was part of the process. However, I later realized that this pressure may have been due to something being packed into my jaw.
Post-surgery, I experienced a persistent feeling of something being lodged in my jaw and my throat, which continued for some time. I returned to the office twice after the initial follow-up appointment to voice my concerns about something that felt lodged in my jaw and what seemed like foreign material moving down into my body. The doctor assured me that everything was fine, but I continued to experience discomfort and pain. I even had the sensation of a piece of metal getting stuck in my throat, which only worsened.
The most distressing part of this ordeal happened during my last visit on 7/18/24. I informed the doctor that the sensation of a foreign object in my throat had finally moved, but it felt as if it had lodged deeper into my body. That night, I began to feel a swarm of foreign bodies or objects moving through various parts of my body, starting from my jaw, moving to the bottom of my left foot and traveling up to my hip, neck, back, and scalp. Since then, I have been experiencing ongoing pain, discomfort, and a constant feeling of something foreign in my body, which has severely impacted my quality of life.
I've never experienced anything like this before, and the lingering issues have continued to cause pain and health problems. I attempted to address the concern early on with Dr. Jeffrey W. Chandler, but I still struggle with these sensations and the physical discomfort that followed the surgery.
While I acknowledge that wisdom tooth extractions can have complications, the persistent, severe symptoms I've been dealing with have made me feel unheard and dismissed. It is important to me that others are aware of my experience when considering treatment from this practice. read more
