DO NOT go here, and if you have a friend who mentions that they are seeing Chandler, talk them out of it. The staff is very rude or plainly incompetent. After my first visit, I told my dentist I didn't want to go back there; he convinced me to finish with them -- I wish I hadn't. In general, the welfare of Chandler's patients seems like a distant concern in an all-encompassing quest to churn patients and get their hands on your money. Elmhurst dentists do not recommend Chandler for oral surgery, so take that as a big tell. read more

The front desk at Dr. Chandlers office called me asking me to pay a fee that they never mentioned during my visit. I paid for my visit on the day of my visit in full. This is the second time I went to Dr Chandler's office for Wisdom teeth removal. Dr Chandler is kind, professional and precise at his work. Both time..,(No Pain, No Swelling..):):) . I did take one pc of over the counter pain killer as prevention... That's it. I am able to resume to a regular diet probably in a few days... Also the next day after Wisdom teeth removal, Got a call from Dr Chandler to ask how I was doing after wisdom teeth removal). In July 2023 I saw Dr Chandler for a consultation on a minor oral surgery procedure. I returned to his office two more times, to have the procedure done, and to have a post-op exam. I was very satisfied with my surgery result, and with how all aspects of this were handled. Dr Chandler is very professional, helpful and kind. I got my wisdom teeth out by Dr.Chandler and I had an amazing experience! First of all, the staff is very kind and helpful! Dr.Chandler took time to talk to me during my consultation and made sure that we were both comfortable with my removal plan. I had a more complicated case because of one specific tooth, so I was slightly nervous but after the consultation I felt very reassured that everything would go well. I also chose to be fully sedated so I don't remember the procedure, but everything went well and recovery has been smooth! Insurance covered most of my procedure but if it didn't, it would still have been more affordable than other practices. Dr. Chandler and his staff are excellent! If you need wisdom teeth removal, then look no further. I had all four wisdom teeth taken out as they were beginning to shift my teeth and become impacted. I went in for an initial consultation, and Dr. Chandler assured me that the procedure would go smoothly. And it sure did! I had some unexpected pain after the surgery, and although I did not have to go back, his office made sure that they would be available in case I needed to. My teen has had 2 surgical procedures and 3 tooth extractions by Dr Chandler and each experience has been all-around excellent! The procedures included an exposure & bracketing of an impacted tooth several years ago and the post placement for a tooth implant last year. I am writing the Yelp finally after years of truly excellent care. Dr Chandler and his whole staff have been so helpful and understanding especially with this particular teen who up until meeting this team was terrified of doctors and dentists. My kid wants me to give a special shout out to Nurse Sonia who was especially supportive when my child passed out and threw up! They keep you laughing and relaxed so that you don't worry about the procedure itself. I was in Dr. Chandlers office this past week for a consultation and I could not be more disappointed. I walked in and was not greeted with a hello just a are you checking in from a staff member who looked like a young child and who's face mask was below her nose. As I looked at over at the other secretary her mask was completely off and she was sitting there eating soup and looking at her cell phone! How unprofessional especially when we're in a pandemic and other patients were in the waiting area. I want to recognize Dr. Chandler. He did an extraction on one of partially impacted Wisdom teeth. He did it with ease and calm. His nurses had a great sense of humor that calmed me down after I was bleeding a lot after the procedure. What I really want to recognize him for was he called me personally the following morning to see how I was doing following the procedure. It's rare that a doctor does personal house calls. I came to Dr. Chandler to get all four of my wisdom teeth removed because he was one of the only oral surgeons that my health insurance would cover for the procedure. I'm very glad I came to him. He was very attentive to my nervousness about being sedated and he even called a day after the surgery to ask how I was doing. While he does talk rather fast, he always explains everything in detail without beating around the bush and he made sure I fully understood the instructions for post-surgery care at home. Really disappointed. Based on online reviews, I called this office to make an appointment to have my son's wisdom teeth removed. The woman who answered the phone couldn't have been less helpful or less interested in my business. First she asked about my insurance. She was not familiar with it. She started talking about the financials and my copay. I was aware that I would have to pay a significant amount of money until I have met my deductible. She still hesitated - as though she did not think I would be able to pay. FYI - I wouldn't be calling and trying to schedule an appointment if I didn't intend on paying for the service. I explained to her that I was calling them because they were listed as being in-network with my insurance. She still wasn't sure and asked for the website. I told her that I was logged in as a member and she wouldn't be able to access the URL that I had on my screen. She repeated that she wanted the website address. It's called Google - look it up or know what plans your office has contracted with. She said she still wasn't sure, but we could set up a consultation. The soonest was 3 weeks away. Because my son is going into the military, I needed to move the process along more quickly. She showed absolutely no flexibility. She was really just interested in getting me off of the phone. They win - I will go spend my $4k somewhere else. If this is how they treat you before you even walk in the door, I would think long and hard about letting them treat myself or my family.
