Dr. Koch is very aware of your pain from many procedures and will make you comfortable as possible. She also is a perfectionist which I love! She has a high degree of focus on if her work is perfect before you leave. Also she will recommend issues with your teeth which you should take seriously. She won't shame you into not doing a procedure which I appreciate. She identifies issue which will be a problem if you let it go too long. I've experienced letting things go too long but she fixed that as well. She is one of their top dentists and I appreciate her. City Smiles as a whole is a great company. I want to also recommend Adriana as a hygienist. She is their top hygienist. She is very pleasant and is very concerned with your comfort as well as an expert at cleaning your teeth with precision and takes very much care in detail without a lot of pain. 5 stars for her as well!

The receptionist was super friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in the door. The dental assistant, Alex, and Dr. Tavolzhanskaya were both very gentle and caring. The Doctor was extremely thorough, doing an exam for oral cancer before we got started and also checked my blood pressure. I very much appreciated her attention to detail when reviewing my medical history and making recommendations. The X-rays of my teeth were up on a giant screen that I could see, which was pretty cool. They even gave me a goody bag at the end.

I've been coming to Clearly Cares for a few years and am thrilled to see them expand to their current space on Elston. It's a beautiful, spacious clinic with large, modern, quiet exam rooms with new, comfortable chairs. There are flat screen TVs on the wall *and* on the ceiling with speakers on the chair headrests which allow you to hear whatever you are watching. At the beginning of your appointment they ask you if you'd like to stream something on Netflix. Why doesn't every office use technology like this to make their patients more comfortable? It's very relaxing to watch a nature program for example, during a routine exam or cleaning. When I've had a concern, question or request, it's always been handled in the most respectful and courteous way. I've really felt safe and cared for at this office. I'm sure this would be the case if I ever had a serious issue and recommend anyone with dental concerns or who is nervous about going to the dentist come here.

Then, if your insurance does cover some of the charge, they 'put the difference on your account.' Then, on top of them over-prescribing work, my husband was given TOO MUCH anesthetic and started to have a panic attack. NO ONE was nearby to help him; he almost walked out and actually called me from the office. Finally, an assistant helped him calm down but the 'dentist' was long gone and seemed quite annoyed that the procedure had to wait. We had both been going to the dentist on schedule for the past 20 years; there is just no way we needed all the work they were telling us to do. We finally cut them off and found another new dentist before they could get their claws in further but it took A LOT of calls and combing through paperwork to get the right amount of money back from them that was being 'held on our accounts.' Oh, and they sent my husband home with a $27 tube toothpaste they didn't mention they'd be charging for and applied fluoride (at a cost) without asking or clarifying that it would cost more. VERY disappointed with their sneaky ways. We loved our old dentist but she moved. We've now found another independent provider (Zephyr Dental - yay!) but will never go to one of these conglomerates again if we can help it. Different dentists depending on the day and again, just lots of over-prescribing work that was not done well. Just had to have my new dentist refill a cavity that they filled LESS THAN A YEAR AGO because it came out. Glad we got out when we did but wish we had never gone here at all.

From cleaning to crowns, and even the occasional root canal, Brian takes good care of me. He is really concerned about each of his patients, and doesn't preach at you, but tells you the pros and cons of various procedures and practices. There is a reason hes been called one of the best dentists in Chicago, and that's because he is. Not the most inexpensive dentist of the bunch, but you get what you pay for, and usually more, with him. He recently moved to a new office down the street from his old place and installed even more modern equipment to keep on top of things. (New address: 4445 N.
