I cannot recommend Jo's Tailor enough! I came in with a wedding dress that needed extensive alterations in a VERY short turnaround time. We took my granddaughter's prom dress to Jo's to be hemmed. Not only did they measure for the hem, they also suggested several other changes to make the dress fit better. She took the slides off the front of the straps and pulled them up to adjust the fit of the top. She suggested raising the dual splits in the front by 2 inches. And the best suggestion of all was to hem the back of the dress to match the front and taper to longer in the back. Finally, they offered to make a mask out of the scraps to match the dress. I'm excited about this tailor and that's just silly. I'm excited because they are reasonably priced, do quality work, and enjoyable to do business with. I needed a new tailor after moving to North Fort Worth. My new blazer became the big test. It's easy to rack up big charges on altering a jacket, particularly with a less scrupulous tailor. A prior tailor with a jacket that fit very well off the rack wanted over $150 for a huge number of alterations - all that needed was a sleeve length adjustment (even that was $60). The blazer I brought to Jo's needed the sleeves adjusted and the entire torso brought in. That's a lot of work by comparison and it cost less than $90. We agreed on a date for the work to be complete but I neglected to ask if they'd call me or if it would just be ready. Tip: don't wait for a call! I showed up and they transformed the blazer from promising to stunning. I usually need dress shirts tailored and sometimes jeans. Jo's has my business and you should being yours there, too. read more

This was the worst wedding dress experience a bride could have. They completely destroyed my dress and didn't pay attention to anything I asked them to do. The views of a barrel-chested nitpicker. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we were all svelte and fit into anything off the rack. Alas, it is not to be, at least not for me. If I get a suit to fit my chest, it is a size or two big and long. And if I get the right size, it puckers the lapels but fits everywhere else. This may not mean much to most dear readers, but I already identified myself as, well, fussy and odd-shaped. I bought a suit at Jos. A Banks in Southlake, TX. As expected they used a suit that fit my chest adequately, but looked like a drape everywhere else. They, of course, tailored it - to fit, I don't know who exactly. The sleeves were different lengths, the shoulder stitching was pulled too tight so the fabric bunched along the seam. The jacket was too long, etc., etc., ... I decided that it would be of no use explaining it to the salesman. If the tailor didn't get it right the first time, and the salesman's interest waned once the credit card cleared, what was the point, so I just took it, wore it twice, and left it to languish in my closest as a reminder of my disappointment. Then right here I read about Jo's in Grapevine, TX. Most tailors excel at woman's clothes, there are several good ones close by since women are the most frequent customers. Men's suits are a whole other matter. The structures require a special skill set that just is not common. And I refuse to use a dry cleaner, since tailoring is not their core competency. They took copious measurements, pinned me like cushion, and generally gave me hope that my investment was salvageable. And, voila, much to my delight, I now have a suit that even my wife says looks like it's mine. The full skinny is Jo knows suits. Don't hesitate. If you have a suit that you would love to love, trust Jo. One final thought, I still don't know if Jo was the woman, or the man who helped me, and out of respect I will clear that up on my next visit. Even told me one of the pair was too big to alter correctly...would make the rear pockets angle incorrectly and the front pockets move too far back.
