Sorry, you can greet customers all you want, but that doesn't mean they have to greet you back and then when you mention it when all they want to do is shop in peace, it just creates an adversarial situation. So, no, I won't be back. Also, the two workers were loudly talking about how overworked and underpaid they were. They didn't even care if they were overheard! If you're aware of the Beacon Food Mart, it's tucked behind it in a very small strip within a neighborhood. I stopped in with my toddler for the 3rd Birthday Celebration. They had open tie dye, chalk art, a live DJ, food truck and vendors. Although the celebration isn't every day, you can still find most of these activities throughout the week. Open Tie Dye is posted on their Facebook page. $15 if you buy one of their shirts, $10 if you bring your own. You get to choose what design you want and they'll help you fold it. It is then up to you to put your colors on! Once completed, they send your shirt home to set for 24 hours. Follow their instructions and you have a cute new one of a kind shirt! I like that they soak the shirts beforehand in a special mix that opens the pores of the shirt for dye. Thank you for the lesson!!! The ladies helping out are lovely! They also have ready to purchase clothes ranging from baby onesies to adults. Also, draperies, cloths, crocheted items, magnets, body care. It's a small shop with a lot of personality. I'm hounded constantly, and bothered by your associates, they ask me if I need help finding anything. They ask me if I need a fitting room, and worse, they hover around me making constant unsolicited suggestions when they don't know me, what I like, or what I'm looking for. They want to give me their two cents on things I briefly glance at. And then when I finally get rid of one another usually comes along and does the same thing. I'm sad to write this, but I do so because I just now put back my items and left and I wanted you to know why. You see, I talk all day at work, I deal with people all day, And then I come home and talk to my kids all night. For just one minute, All I wanted was to browse your store in peace after a long day of work, maybe buy a few things for my spring trip, but instead it was like a high pressure car sale. Please, please stop it with the hovering, and the intense bothering. Your store is small. I can see it all with my eyes, I don't need you to point things out or act as if I'm unintelligent for not picking up the shirt that was "made to go with those pants." I definitely have had to wait in lines before, but it's not usually longer than 5 minutes, and unless someone has called in, there's usually two or three employees at the store at any given time. Employees have always been pleasant, and while I've had an issue with Torrid's online not e-mailing me when I had an order to pick up, that's honestly that only online order issue I've had in the 20+ orders I've had delivered here. This particular location is decently large. They have a full-sized bra selection, and during swimsuit season, full swimsuit section. They have multiple fitting rooms. Each one of the fitting rooms is outfitted with an optional, strong fan you can turn on/off. That's a god-send in the summers! Especially before big clearance sales, the staff seems to go through and organize all of the clearance items by size AND by color/function. For example, all the size 1 will be together. Then all the lingerie comes first, then the swimsuits, then the shirts, then the boleros/jackets, etc. Then in each category, all the items will be color-matched. It's really a fantastic way to shop, and I've never seen any other Torrid (or any other store!) do this before. This Torrid is located in The Greene, though. While not a problem, it will make "quick stop" shopping a bit harder as the Torrid is located almost directly in-between the two nearby parking lots. It's not a terrible walk, though. Expect about a block's worth of walking. I'd recommend parking in the parking lot nearest the Winan's and Old Navy over the other lots.

Dressing rooms are many and large and there is always someone offering to help. After I get a few items in my hands, someone always offers to come over and start a fitting room for me. Employees check on you and ask if they can get you anything and don't hesitate to get you a different size if you need it. Don't pass up the free bra fitting. It may be a bit awkward, but its over the clothes and always help you find the right size for you. My best friend looked at 10 stores for the perfect strapless bra for her wedding and had no luck until I suggested Lane Bryant for a bra fitting. Within 10 minutes she got a fitting, an employee found the perfect bra and she was happy. Also, if you like something but its not in your size or color (I tried on the green shirt, but really like the pink one), they will order it for you and send it to your door for free!! Also, free shipping to the store when you order online and a $25 coupon when you pick up!! Oh, and location, location, location!! I go shopping, and hubby goes to Pies and Pints right next door. He gets a beer or two and I meet him there when I'm done so we can finish our shopping. The parking is the only real weak point, but its no worse than when this store was located at the Mall at Fairfield Commons!
