No need for that admonition from the cashier. A simple, "It is Prom time, we are backed up terribly and are unable to meet your deadline," would have been acceptable. I may return, but my wife took her pants back to the store and will wait 7-10 days and save $70.00 on alteration fees, and receive outstanding customer service.

Rip N Stitch gets full marks on all of the above. I called on a weekend to see if I could get the sleeves of a suit jacket shortened by the following weekend. On the phone they said "We're scheduled out to Wednesday--should be no problem!" So I took the jacket in that day. It took about 2 minutes to get the sleeve pinned up. I was told because of the buttons it would be a little more than the standard price for sleeves, but $45 sounded fair and I appreciated knowing the price up front! They also said I could pick it up any time on Wednesday, no need to call ahead. Within about 10 minutes I was on my way with the claim ticket in hand. On Wednesday I picked up the jacket on my lunch break. As promised, it was ready and the price was $45 + tax. Finally, the work was done well. I have a jacket that fits perfectly, and you can't even tell it was ever altered.

Wow, what a great experience from a local family owned custom tailer shop. True to the business…read morename, they do it all. Custom suits, repairs, alterations. I came to have a pair of new suit pants altered after loosing some LBS. It was super easy to make my appointment and request what I needed done. This is where I gained trust in this business. After taking the measurements and looking over my pants. I was told even if it the pants were taken in as far as possible, it still wouldn't look right. He suggested at that point it would be best to buy a new suit vs the cost of the alteration and me not being totally satisfied. There was no mention of trying to sell me a nice high end suit there. Honestly if I wore suits all the time I'd invest in one. Definitely give this place a try for your formal clothing needs. They know what they are doing and won't try and work you over.

I have used Robby for many years when pants needed alterations. The last pair of pants I had…read moreshortened will be the last i take to him. I took 2 pairs of pants in to be shortened. He measured 1 and suggested he'd take the same length off the second pair. The 2 pants aren't even close to the same length now. I took the pants back and he IMMEDIATELY accused me of washing them and shrinking them on my own. I have not washed the pants since purchasing. He was DEFENSIVE, RUDE AND ACCUSATORY. I told him I have never been spoken to in that manner as a customer anywhere and he responded "you're treating yourself that way". I was nothing but polite and soft spoken with him. If you enjoy a quality experience without being accused of destroying your own brand new clothe do not use him.

Things were said that mischaracterized both parties. Monica's husband reach out to me and we were able to discuss this in a cordial and professional manner. Everything ended well, I just wish things were handled in this manner from the beginning. To whatever transpired, I do believe Monica is good at what she does and I do hope she satisfied more clients in the future.

So I had an event on a Friday night (I actually only had a 5 hours lead-time before I had to go pick up my date), and there were these shirts (somewhat trendy and uniquely designed) I got from overseas that didn't drape just right, and I wanted a same-day tailor to look at it for me, so I called Anna - whom my Dentist recommended. After raving over the shirts and declaring how handsome I was (which I am, of course. LOL) Anna had me try them on and told me exactly what she'd personally do to make them drape better. (I wanted them to fit like the model on the guy's web page) "These guys they do tricks for those photo - I fix for you, beautiful man". Anna hooked me up. My momma loved the look, the people at the Aronoff center loved the look, my date loved the look. Thanks to Anna for giving me the look I wanted in a couple of hours.
