We had our annual camping trip at one of the local campsites near Miller's Landing resort. One of our days we decided to use our 15% off coupon from our campsite to Rent a 9 persons pontoon boat. The folks working at the counter for the boat rental were friendly and helpful. I wish I could say the same thing for the dude's working at the actual boat dock. They gave us weird vibes. Like, have y'all never seen Asians renting a boat? WTF are you guys glaring at? WTF is so funny? It was irritating AF! Thankfully, the time on the water was really fun! The kids had such a good time zipping around on the water and we also rented a tube that we towed off the back of the pontoon boat. Yes, it's not a speed boat, but it was fast enough for the kids to enjoy being towed around. The next day we went back to Miller's Landing to use their public showers. Five dollars for five minutes. Make it quick! The shower's were clean, water was warm, or cold if you prefer, but the line can get long. There is no complimentary shampoo, soap, or conditioner, so be sure to BYO. It was a good option for those of us who were tent camping that NEEDED a shower. Although we didn't dine in the restaurant, we did get drinks, ice cream, and milkshake's from the café, all of which were really tasty. We will definitely plan to incorporate a boat rental, showers, and meals at Miller's Landing when we plan our annual camping trip for next year!

We just left earlier today after spending two nights in Cabin 15...always save the best for last …read more CONS: 1) water pressure upstairs (shower & kitchen sink) is terrible, meaning there is very little, and it takes forever for water on the first floor to heat up. This is due - we believe - to the water pump being outside on the bottom floor of the cabin. 2) you need to be on VERY familiar terms with your housemates in this cabin. You can only get to bedroom #3 through bedroom #2, which holds the bathroom for the downstairs floor. Can be tricky so tread carefully here. 3) the aforementioned water pump is directly outside of bedroom # 3's window, meaning every few minutes when the pump activates, it sounds like a car is warming up and getting ready to leave right next to you. Once you hear the "car leaving", the water pump's cycle has ended, bring a little peace & quiet until it starts back up again. 4) the blinds in bedroom #2 don't flip open, making the room like a dungeon. 5) pots & pans could be a tiny bit better quality, and PLEASE sharpen the big knife as it's so dull, I had to use one of the steak knives to chop an onion. PROS: 1) the staff at the restaurant, shop, and check-in desk are fantastic - warm, welcoming, and could not be more helpful and accommodating. 2) the food at the restaurant is REALLY good. 3) the view from the balcony is astounding even though there are trees blocking most of the lake, plus it's so incredibly peaceful out there. 4) this particular cabin is the last one and at the end of the row, which means you never have anyone passing you to get to their cabin. This affords a lot of privacy and noise reduction. 5) the unit is truly ADA as there is a nice size room with a queen bed on the first floor right where you walk in, directly across from the bathroom. The other two bedrooms are downstairs. 6) the stove works great meaning the burners get hot really fast so be careful when cooking! 7) dish soap and cleaning spray in the kitchen and bar soap in the bathrooms are provided. 8) the location and value for the money cannot be beat, whether staying here for the duration of your visit or driving to Yosemite's South Gate entrance. Now that we know what to expect, we'll definitely be back!

The place was crowded. I suppose many folks wanted to experience a meal here before this eatery closes for the winter. *They reopen in March of 2027 Although the service remained the same, the food and atmosphere was quite disappointing. Our order of 'the 'meal' included salad. The burger was delicious but the salad itself was not a credit to the maker. The fries were limp and cold. The Cheese Burger was dry and sad-looking. Overall, our experience on this day went from a 5 to a 3.75. It shows how things can change when an eatery gets too busy. The view across from the eatery looked inviting. The sun was shining and there was not a soul in sight. I escaped the noisy crowd and strolled across to take in the scenery. We will definitely return to savour their once delicious eats but would try not to go towards the end of the summer season.

I specifically explained to our waiter that I wanted my burger cooked medium, with some pink but not bloody. He reiterated that my only choices were "pink" or "no pink," so I selected pink. What arrived was a completely well-done burger. For a restaurant serving grass-fed beef, that's honestly a shame. If you're going to highlight the quality of your beef, the kitchen should know how to cook it properly, especially when a customer has clearly communicated their preference. To make matters worse, the burger was advertised as coming with garlic aioli. What I received was essentially plain mayonnaise with a generous amount of raw bell peppers. I'm not sure in what world that qualifies as garlic aioli, but it certainly wasn't what was described or what I expected. The menu description was misleading, and the combination itself was bizarre. Overall, the experience was frustrating. When a restaurant emphasizes quality ingredients, I expect that same level of care in preparation, execution, and menu accuracy. Unfortunately, this burger missed the mark on all three. Grass-fed beef deserves better than being cooked into oblivion.

It's a lot of food to be ordered and a risk should the customer not pick it up. Also, there was a long line when we arrived, the parking was full, and the outside and inside dining were pretty full as well. Although the line was long to place our order as it's made to go in front of you, it went pretty quickly. They have a great set up and they know how to move the line quickly. It can be very tough dealing with a lot of tourist, new customers who do not know what they want, but I think that the employees here did an amazing job, especially the man that cuts the meat at the front stop, and the checkout employees at the register were also very friendly. Now let me tell you, we got a full rack of ribs, half pound of pulled pork, half pound of tri-tip, half pound of chicken, half pound of sausage and a half pound of brisket. You get six rolls and two large sides and when I say large, I mean jumbo sides. We ordered the barbecue baked beans with meat, and they are generous about it, we ordered the macaroni and cheese with bacon and again very generous on the bacon. At the end of the line, close to the cashier, I asked if they can make sure we had all the condiments, including barbecue sauces we needed to go. I was so surprised when they opened up the box of our order and everything was neatly packed in a large box with all the condiments, and they were generous with those as well, including butter for the rolls and different types of barbecue sauces. They gave us paper plates as well. Everything was packed so well! This place was really cool, they had plenty of customers dining inside and outside. They had an employee monitoring the inside dining hall, and making sure everything was cleaned, and when customers left the table, quickly went into turn the table over. I will say that this establishment, especially being in a high traffic tourist area, did an amazing job! Food was incredible! My favorite was the ribs and the sausage. The fried fish was coated in a crunchy beer batter. Fish was tender and moist except for some overcooked parts. Flavor was mostly of beer batter with a mild cod flavor. Good dish. Better than the frozen fish sticks from the supermarket. Fried zucchini was shaped like french fries. Batter was crunchy. I could barely taste the zucchini as there seemed to be more batter than zucchini. I prefer bigger pieces of zucchini and less batter. Ok dish. Fanta Pineapple soda was sweet and full of pineapple flavor. Very good. Server/Cashier was very nice and brought out our meals quickly.
