I had a good experience with the Jones Honda sales team but very disappointed with the management of the financing department. I paid cash with my trade-in for my new 2026 CR-V and was very interested in buying an extended warranty program if the price was acceptable. The Finance manager, offered me a 3rd party (non-Honda, non-dealer) contract, 7 year, 100k miles program that retailed for $3,500 but he could offer it for $2,400. I told him price was too high for me and he then offered me the same deal for $1,975 and I said I'll think about it. Well I did some internet research and found that I can (and did) buy a Honda America Corporation "Honda Care" program that extends my original warranty to 120k miles and 8 years for $1,257 with $0 deductible. However, the Finance manager never let me know Jones Honda also offers a Honda Care extended warranty program until I asked him about it. He just pushed the 3rd party extended warranty that is way more expensive that gives Jones Honda a lot more profit at my expense. Bottom line, if you are looking for an extended warranty for your new car from Jones Honda definitely ask about their Honda Care extended warranty prices. I also recommend you google "Honda Care" warranties and you will find other dealers with much lower prices as I found. Key point: since this warranty is backed by Honda America Corporation every Honda Dealer in the US is required to honor your Honda Care warranty using genuine Honda parts no matter what dealer you purchase the warranty from. We bought a new Honda CRV from Jones a number of years ago. Overall great experience. We moved to West Chester area for several years for my work. I took it to the Honda dealer there, as it was due for service as was running rough. They told me the entire top of the engine needed a rebuild for thousands of dollars (it was out of warranty). I took the car to Jones. The service manager said it was due for a part replacement - $100 total cost. Ran perfectly for the remainder of our ownership. Recently, my friend went there because his private mechanic could not resolve his idiot lights going off randomly. Jones' service advisor said his windshield camera was blocked by dirt. We purchased a new 2025 Honda Pilot from Jones Honda and before we took off lot had a pre-existing issue HVAC problem had to have major work done. Whole dash, console, steering wheel, electrical system, front seats removed. Did research for six (6) months before buying a Honda Pilot. Well guess what!!!! Jones Honda said not their problem and we needed to call Honda Corporate, Well we called them and they said not their problem with vehicle. They said it was our problem. Jones Honda did repair and after purchasing what we anticipated getting a new car, we are getting a vehicle that has major repairs and it is our fault. Service Manager, Joe Keener: - "You were wrong to expect the same high quality service you can get at an independent shop" - "We don't work for free" ^ After I ask why checking their work on a $1200 repair from 2 weeks ago should cost me $106, when no additional work was performed. Service review: Check engine light issue, took to Honda, had parts replaced, paid $1200. Drove for a day, engine light comes back, take back to Honda, hoping they can double check the work / let me know what the problem is. They say another part needs to be replaced. Ok. I decide I don't want to do the replacement of the additional part. I get to Honda to pick it up, $126 bill. It cost me $126 for them to "diagnose" the problem I already paid them to diagnose and repair two weeks prior for $1200. If I had asked them to replace the additional part, I would have had no problem paying for that. But, failing to fix my problem in the first place (happens), and then charging me $126 (got them to take $20 off) to check their work and tell me that actually they should have replaced an additional part is crazy. The point is I already paid them to diagnose the problem two weeks ago. My independent shop did a repair prior to me taking it to Honda where they replaced a part, I found it didn't fix the issues and they did the entire repair again FOR FREE. That means FREE diagnosis and FREE part and FREE labor. That was very generous of them. At the least I expect a Honda dealer to look at their own repair for free, even if I pay for re-work or additional parts to be replaced. What a joke. read more

I ordered and purchased a new 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid from Jones Honda. My experience was very good and my sales person (Jeff Miller) was courteous and knowledgeable about the entire process and kept me informed along the way. When it came time to complete the transaction, all was good and upfront. I especially liked the way he ran through the tutorial on the car as there are quite a few things to learn about the car's electronic settings. Also want to give a shout out to Kyle Jones, Business Manager as he did a nice job with the business and finance end of the sale. The service department has left the inside of my vehicle dirty and stained. If your windshield is tinted they will make you sign a paper stating they will cut around the tint.... However, when you see that they ripped your tint in actuality, that's a different story. Those guys in that department do not care!..... The dealership cares sooo much when you want to purchase a vehicle or if they want you to trade yours in, but once the deal is done, they could care less....... unless you look a certain way, or are in a particular tax bracket. read more

I would highly recommend you go else where when looking to buy a car. I am a young veteran who is disabled and lives on limited income. I trusted Jason Ness and Kyle Jones to steer me in the right direction since It was my first time buying a car completely on my own. However after the fact, I have realized they both deceived me and left out critical information which has resulted in me paying additional money. During the signing process for the car, Kyle was having me quickly sign paperwork without fully detailing what each page contained. Kyle also used high pressure sales technique in order to convince me that I needed to buy the Vehicle Service Contract for $2600 that day or else I wouldn't be able to get such protection in the future. A few days later, I realized that Kyle had snuck in an additional $1500 in optional add ones despite never asking me if I wanted such add ons. The add on's were never mentioned on the flyer attached to the car, nor was it ever mentioned by Jason during my work with him. Apparently this business likes to use the opt out model than the opt in model of business when it homes to hidden charges. In total, Jones dealership added an additional 4K to the list price for unnecessary items. When I came in asking for the items to be refunded or to return the car. Brayan, the sales manager was hostile and rude to me after I mentioned being a veteran. I was told there was nothing the business could do and that they are unwilling to refund me cost of the add on's or take the car back. read more

The estimate I am uploading for your perusal is from July 2022. I should have submitted a review then. I took my van to Jones Honda for an inspection and a "trip check" prior to our vacation. They told me I needed this $4000 repair of piston rings/replacement. I told them NOT to do this yet. I got the van back. The next day it would not start. I called AAA. The gentleman that came out said our battery was from 2018 and was the issue. (Why didn't the Jones Honda mechanics see this maintenance need!!) He replaced it. Started up, no problem. I asked about the "piston ring" issue. (He was a mechanic.) He checked a couple things and said that he doubted it needed that repair. It is 16-months later and I still do not have a problem with the "rings". I feel the need to share this now because a friend of mine just had Jones Honda tell her she needed this same repair for $4300! She took her car to an independent garage and they told her the problem was a cracked spark plug. AND Jones never did her oil change as requested, to boot! She called Jones Honda and asked if they did some specific test to determine the need for the $4300 piston ring repair and they said "No, we visually evaluated it!" Unacceptable!!! Dishonest!!! Went in for a service inspection, came out with a list of recommended repairs. Failed inspection because of brakes leaking and pads were barely passing. This was a complete lie, the brakes have never leaked and the pads were almost brand new. Avoid the service center here, they will try to sell you stuff you don't need. I've had wonderful service from the Jones Honda Service department until I brought my 2019 Civic in for a fuel pump recall and oil change on 7/27/20. Not only did they not perform the fuel pump replacement properly (the car was delivered leaking fuel, with the fuel gauge non-functional and tire pressure problems), but when I returned to have them fix the issue, they (a) damaged my front wheel and (b) ended up needing to keep my car from Friday morning until the following Monday morning to fix all of my issues. Their Service Director, Joe K. refused to take responsibility for the wheel damage even though the service manager for my car said that they would split the cost of repair. I tried to communicate to both President of Operations Don S. and General Manager Kris J. on several occasions to work out a fair solution, but received no response or even an acknowledgement. I am now forced to file a civil complaint to recover the cost of the wheel damage. If you bring your auto in for service, I highly recommend taking a timestamped video walk around of your car before turning your keys over to the service rep and again when you pick up your auto after service. I feel bad giving this poor of a rating because the Service Manager who typically handles my car (Luis) is fantastic (a big reason why we just purchased a 2020 Civic Sport from this dealer), but I am extremely disappointed with the Jones Honda service management's total lack of responsiveness, their inability to take responsibility for my car while it was under their care, and the general disregard for the customer that was displayed throughout this experience. For this I give them a well-deserved zero stars (although I need to choose 1 to post). Update: 8-17: So I took my wheel in to see if it could be repaired and while there, the tech noticed that two of my other wheels (on the passenger side of my car) were damaged in the exact same fashion. One not quite as deep but the other had damage along the entire perimeter of the wheel. Jones Honda damaged three of my wheels. I strongly encourage potential buyers to look at other options before purchasing with Jones. When I went last week, it was one of the worst experiences I have had with car shopping! I had planned on purchasing through Jones. My husband and I test drove several cars, that went okay. However, when we were ready to work out the pricing, we were given numbers that were several thousand dollars higher than what we had researched as the fair market range for an Accord LX (base trim level) and EX (mid trim level). Furthermore, we showed them the Honda website with a special of $240 a month for the LX lease. They were trying to charge us about $100 more per month for the LX and they attributed it to "taxes" (that was a lie, the taxes were around $20). There was a lot of back and forth (so much time wasted) just to get to the advertised price. Furthermore, the sales manager told us he was not aware of this special. My husband and I were in disbelief, how could the sales manager not be aware of nationwide advertised specials (tv and internet)? It made no sense and it was very poor customer service. My husband and I agreed that Jones would not be getting our business. I requested online quotes from Ciocca, Ebersole, and Piazza. All gave me quotes for thousands less on the EX than what I got from Jones. I ended up going with Ebersole because they were straightforward and customer-oriented. I got a lease for an EX that was less than what Jones tried to charge me for an LX (nationwide special). I want honest, straight-forward, hassle-free car buying, so I will be sure to avoid Jones in the future! read more

Family trip to Lancaster, Pennsylvania. *check engine light goes on* While my mother started to worry and pace around nervously, my father and I went to the hotel concierge to ask about service stations in the area. The woman was extremely helpful and said what kind of car do you have? So we said Honda, and bam she named Jones Honda, just 3.5 miles away. We drove down Manheim Pike into auto territory which resembled Queens' Hillside Avenue or Northern Boulevard, but in a Lancaster setting. Jones' Honda is large and looked like a nice facility. We were greeted right away by a Jones Honda rep, and directed to the service bays which were empty. A service rep named Jared Ingold diagnosed the problem and gave us an estimate. All the while he was extremely courteous and well knowledgeable, not something you find along Hillside Avenue. The Honda rep we met at the front came over and asked my younger sisters if they were OK and if they wanted anything to drink or eat, as well as the rest of us. She also said there was a Honda courtesy van and driver that would take us to the strip of fast food joints and stores a few miles down the road. Never have I seen such excellent hospitality and a willingness to help. She even said she was sad to see the vacation get roadblocked, and that anything we needed could be taken care of. About an hour and half later the van had a new catalytic converter and the bill came. Now we were originally told the part cost 1,262 dollars, however the final bill with tax and labor only came out to 1,060 dollars. My mother thinking it was a mistake, kindly told the sales rep that it was a mistake, but she simply smiled and said, giving you a discount is the least we could do considering this is your vacation and your from two states away. This is what salesmanship is all about. There were no slimy reps trying to convince us to get unnecessary work done, or nasty servicemen who just got out of jail, but kind, caring people who really loved their job. I own a 2009 Honda Civic. I started experiencing car trouble in the beginning of 2020; the car seemed on the verge of shutting off on me whenever I drove it. I couldn't tell if it was a fuel pump issue, engine issue, or transmission issue. Therefore, I took my car in to Jones Honda at the beginning of the year and explained what was going on. For some reason my engine light stopped working and it never came on as I was experiencing car trouble. The person I spoke to at the dealer told me to wait until the engine light came on, so they'd hook up the car to a computer to identify the issue. I took his advice and waited but the problem with the car was getting worse and the engine light never came on. One day on a Saturday, I left my house to run errands and as soon as I left the house, the car started stalling on me, but (again) no engine light came on. So, I went straight to Jones Honda and explained what happened. The person who took care of me said the issue is definitely with the battery. So, they replaced my car battery and as soon as I left the dealership, the care started doing the same thing. I knew right away that the issue was not with the battery and that they charged me for a new one even though the car didn't need it. I had no intention of buying a battery from a dealer and was planning on having my son install it for me when it was time to get a new one. I waited a few weeks before I decided to take the car to them again (for the third time) to have them diagnose it properly. I dropped it off and asked them to take a closer look at it and try to diagnose it once and for all. That day, I got a call from the service department telling me the issue is with the transmission and that it (the transmission) needs to be flushed. The person I spoke with said the transmission flush should take care of the issue. I was happy to hear that because I thought they had finally diagnosed the problem causing the stalling. To my shock and disappointment, the car did the same thing when I picked it up and drove it home. I realized then that I had paid for an expensive service that my car did not require because the service people were incompetent and couldn't properly diagnose the problem I was having with the car. I called the service department back to let them know the issue had not been fixed and that I wanted my money back for the battery and transmission flush, they told me they couldn't do that and stated that they had to keep trying different things/repairs until one of the repairs works. That reply shocked me to say the least. The car was getting worse by the day and almost shut off on me one day, which prompted me to take it back to the dealer (for the fourth time) and demand they once-and-for all diagnose the problem. I asked them to test-drive it so they'd see for themselves what was happening. That day, I got a call at work from the service person telling me there was nothing wrong with the car and that they drove it but didn't notice anything unusual. I could not believe what I was hearing. It was obvious to me that they didn't bother to drive my car outside of their parking lot and made the assumption my car was fine which implied I was an idiot and stupid, and didn't know what I was talking about. I became angry over the phone and told the person I was speaking with to have them drive the car outside of the dealership parking lot since trying to drive it on a main road and/or a highway is the only way to experience the issues I experienced all year long. I hung up the phone and waited for a call from them. The service person called me back and told me they drove it and concluded I need a new transmission. He literally said "the transmission is shot". I wasn't happy to hear that but wasn't completely surprised. I started calling around to get a price on a good transmission for my car and even made an appointment with a local auto shop to have them install one. In the meantime, I decided to get another opinion from another auto shop to confirm the transmission was in fact bad and needed to be replaced before having it replaced. I took my car to a local mom and pop auto repair shop that deals with transmission repairs and asked them to look at my car. Half an hour later, I got a call from them saying the transmission is perfectly fine and that the issues I've been having are due to bad spark plugs. They were 99% sure that's what was causing the issues with the car. They proceeded with replacing the spark plugs. This was on October 21, 2020 and the car has been fine since then. What's so disheartening is that an official Honda dealership that should have top notch staff (especially in the service department) was unable to diagnose a simple problem a small mom and pop shop diagnosed in less than an hour during the one and only visit I made to them. This proves the service people at Jones Honda are either crooks taking advantage of people and intentionally ripping them off, or they're grossly incompetent. read more

Had a horrible experience with the Jones body shop. My Honda civic was taken there after I had an accident for repair; damage to the right front side. After pick up I noticed a constant clunking noise on that side. Contacted Jones three times about it before I was told to bring it back in. After putting it up on the lift they informed me the noise was my loose spare tire....in the trunk! I'm guessing because I'm a woman it makes me an idiot who clearly doesn't know where noises come from. My mechanic thinks they reused damaged parts. If i could give this dealership less than one star I would. I've purchased 5 Hondas over the past 20 years, 4 from the same dealership in South Carolina. I've been a firm believer in returning to the dealership for service. When we've needed service we were able to schedule same day or within a day or so. We moved to Lancaster a year ago. I've had service scheduled at Jones Honda twice, each time scheduled two to three weeks out. When I called today to see if I could have my son's Accord brought in for brakes, that he was visiting for the next two days, I was told that I could bring it in the first week of July, two weeks away. Was given incorrect information from the service department the day the appointment was made, only to find out a few days before the appointment that they could not provide the services promised? A total inconvenience and the person I spoke with didn't really seem to care as I was just told to make a new appointment at another location... yeah right! Thanks guys! read more

I brought my SUV here to have all 4 tires changed. The check in process was great as well as check out of course as they swiped my credit card, but as soon as I got my vehicle I noticed they scratched my rims. I went back inside and the service employee came out and told me " how did you notice a scratch" wow its my car I notice everything. I proceeded to ask him to get the manager and he told me to " hold on let me see if I can". He comes back to tell me " he is in a very important meeting". of course he is, every manager is when problems arise. I then gave him all my information and proceeded to go to the show room and find someone else who was in charge. Walked into the sales room not a single person came to help me as they saw me standing there. Of course a Hispanic walks in lets assume " they don't have money " Finally a Hispanic employee got the Sales Manager. He just seemed to be annoyed when he looked at me and didn't even seem to want to help. The sales manager acted as if it did not happen there when I never left the lot. He said "Well I cant tell the sun is in the way, cant see much" They took all my information down and took pictures and left it at that. First of all this is a 35,000.00 vehicle not some trash off the streets. Brand new 2021 CRV! Some of us work hard for what we got, but I seen since I am a HISPANIC customer my concerns or property did not matter. That goes to show you how Honda truly treats people of color. No one seemed to care about the situation, stressing a 7 month pregnant women out and dismissing the situation. I called the Services manager over 5 times and no answer or returned called. I am disgusted by the lack of service. Lets not forget 2 months ago when I got my car inspected and checked they told me everything was done and fluid were filled. Yeah okay fluids were empty, took me to go to another dealer to find that out. Good job HONDA I hope you enjoy losing customers. I see you lack customer service same way you lack inventory on your lot. read more
