Let me start by saying we were in a jam looking for an insulation contractor, the company we were going to use dissolved a few weeks before they were scheduled.
Our GC contacted a few insulation contractors, he decided on Jones Boys because they could start earlier than anyone else, on 8/3/2015. They did not actually start until 8/6/2015. Jones Boys arrived at about 11:00-11:30. Our daughter and granddaughter had just arrived and were sitting on our porch with my wife when the truck pulled up. The installer told my wife we needed to be out of the house for two days while they applied the foam insulation, that took us by surprise. We sent our daughter and granddaughter home, nearly an hour away and my wife and I had to scramble to book a hotel. My GC had not been told this, neither had we. In fact it's the first time he's ever heard that a home had to be evacuated during the process of applying foam insulation. They did not work a full day, needed to be on the road by 2:30 to get out of work on time, so it took two days, meaning two nights in a hotel.
Things were no better with the fiberglass insulation installer, arrived on 8/13/2015 were supposed to be here on the 10th. He did not bring enough fiberglass to complete the job, so he finished the following day. I know they measured so they should have known what they needed. The last thing is he did not clean up after he was done, a lot of fiberglass pieces all over the floor of the new space.
In closing I'm not sure that this is all the installers fault, I believe they are way over booked. I think the sales people there lie, will tell you what ever you want to hear to make a sale. I know I will never use them again and I do not recommend anyone else does either. Check the mass-live web page there are two similar reviews to this one. read more
