1.Gel polish chips off 2.Booked signature pedicure but she changed it to express after I was in chair because she did not have time to do massage part of the pedicure because she was booked for day. I did not indicate that I needed gel removed when booked so that takes 15 min so she had to skip massage. Ok but you were 7 min late and I only had polish on six toes because four had chipped off (yes it was their name polish too). Last time I had gel, got it removed, and still had signature pedicure despite booking it the exact same way I did for this appointment. 3. Still cost $70 and I mainly come for the massage. I will not be back after coming here for years read more

After one week, my Toby became infected from a pedicure. I had to go to a podiatrist to have it cut out and get antibiotics. The podiatrist said it was due to the nail salon, and the way they cut my toenails. In addition, I also received gel nails, and after just four days, they began peeling off, all of my hands! I will also report this to the health department. read more

Nail tech was very nice but frustrated with the polish as it was thick. She re-did my nails as she wasn't happy with them, only to have the same thing happen. Left with bleeding cuticles, nail polish on my fingers and lumpy nail polish. Inexperienced technician · Messy results · Painful experience · Inconsistent results read more

Had a deluxe pedicure they took their time and it was amazing. My feet felt so much better. The store was very clean and organized. The staff was fantastic got me all set up in the chair and offered me a beverage and told me to just back and relax. It was an outstanding experience and I recommend Jonathon Khoi Maumee. Don't forget to get the deluxe pedicure read more

Took my daughter for a mom daughter day pedi. 160.00 I spent for 2 pedicures with tip the tech put my shoes and socks on for me. I got home I realized its because I paid extra for gel so not to smudge and she screwed it up and tried to hide the large spot on my big toe missing polish. I called and asked to speak with a manager apparently they have none. They are shady af Had she been honest I would have been cool and gave her a 10.00 tip instead of 20.00 laughed because we all make mistakes but the way it was handled was just shady. read more

I've given this place several, and I mean SEVERAL chances; and you couldn't pay me to go back. I even tried several nail techs to no avail. I got gel polish more than a couple of times and it always chipped and cracked. When it was recommended that I try acrylics, I did. They didn't last either. In fact one totally peeled off! I could've put Lee press on nails on for far cheaper and much less hassle! read more

Came here from Michigan before a wedding, since the salons in Michigan weren't open yet. My cousin made an appointment for us. The morning of, they were unclear on switching the times around. My cousin specifically let them know I wanted French ombre in dipping powder. When I arrived, they "didn't have time" for that. They rushed my pedicure. My nails chipped the next day. I regularly get my nails done, and this was the worst job I've ever gotten. Update: one of my toes is infected from the pedicure. It's yellow, painful and full of pus. read more

First time here, can't wait to go back! Had a deluxe pedicure this morning. I've had many pedis over the years, but this one was by far the best. Kylii B was my tech and not only was she really nice but she took her time & made everything sure everything was perfect (water temp, towel temp, etc). Also best leg & foot massage I've ever had--including from massage therapists. I haven't had a pedi in over a year due to covid, but ended up feeling just as relaxed as always during & after. I don't think my feet have ever felt this good!!! Thank you so much JKNS & Kylii, today was just what I needed Covid stuff--wear a mask inside (duh), there are barriers between chairs, call before coming in, wash hands when first arriving. read more

Don't waste your $. I received a gel mani - cuticles were incorrectly trimmed resulting in multiple hang nails. Thumbs both started to peel three days after because gel applied on top of cuticle. Very disappointed!! Only good manicurist I found is Chelsea at central avenue Jonathan koi. Listen up management - have Chelsea train everyone!! I won't be back read more

I came here a month ago and had a great experience and long lasting gel manicure that I loved. This past week I came in to get my nails done again, and it was a painful process. She filed my nails too hard it hurt, removing the cuticles also hurt. I ended up noticing afterward that my gel polish was uneven, on my cuticles, and chipping even 2 hours after my service ( should last 3 weeks w/o chipping) I called that same day and scheduled an appointment to come in and get it fixed. I appreciated the customer service, and the girl who redid my nails was fantastic. She took the time to listen to my concerns and made sure everything looked great. The only (little) issue is when I got home I noticed a nail bubbled up a bit, and I'm hoping it won't chip! She was lovely nonetheless. I am only giving 3 stars because I believe that inexperienced newcomers should come at a discounted price, or you should be told you're getting someone inexperienced before coming in. It was a painful process, and I've never had a gel manicure chip before even weeks after. Please consider lowering the price or telling customers they're getting someone new. read more

Honestly, my nail tech was such a sweetheart but I paid 70$ for a dip removal/manicure and in five days half of my nails are chipped and breaking. the tech asked another tech what she was supposed to do in the middle of the process and then told me they don't do dip manicures very often. I can normally make a dip manicure last 3 weeks and pay a lot less. Should not be having broken nails in less than a week.... read more

This place needs to be shut-down temporarily and gutted. The cleanliness is forgotten, but the service is nice (not superior). I dropped in during a weekday noontime and was accommodated within 10 minutes, just enough time to pick out a nice OPI polish for my toes. So many colors to choose from: awesome! Before my pedicure, I stopped into the restroom. I didn't want to set my handbag down on the floor (too dirty), and the only level surfaces above the floor (toilet back and a decorative cabinet) were covered with scented candles, Febreze spray bottles, and potpourri baskets. So much perfumed stuff in a restroom hides something: the stink of uncleanliness. I did my business, after hanging my handbag on the room's doorknob. While I sat, I noted that the baseboard vinyl was pulled away from the corners and filthy all the way around. The laminate floor was particularly dirty in front of the toilet. Yuck: that's not *water*! I was led to my pedicure chair in the front corner. As I approached the chair, my nostrils caught a heavy musty odor, as though a leak occurred a while ago and was given the opportunity to turn to mold. The sliding trays and crevices in the pedi chair were not the cleanest, covered with fingerprints, stains and cleaner residue. I just hope the pedi tub had been bleached! My nail tech, Maria, was very competent and nice. Her tools came out of a sealed shrink-wrap, which I hope indicated sterility and not just a snow-job of fake-sterility. Her hands were good on my massage all the way up to my knees. She shaped my toe-nails well, and she did a great job removing dead skin on my heels. She used a base coat and 2 coats of nail color, a happy/springy purple-rose. She left me to sit alone for a bit while my nails dried. That gave me plenty of opportunity to note the tired dirty pillows on the pedi-chairs, the dirty curtains between stations, and two very creepy-looking, heroin-addict types acting like they were going to move in. (I have worked with addicts, so this isn't an uneducated stereotyping of people. The neighborhood in Maumee is declining.) Good service at the reception desk...nice ladies who are personable. I left a good tip (50%) for Maria, as I thought she earned it. The place offers nice service, but not nearly as peaceful as Beauty Bar on Central Avenue. The major difference is the level of cleanliness. I'm not going back. Please, Mr Khoi, do something! read more

It's okay. Honestly, I thought it was expensive for what it was. I had a gel mani + I needed to have my gels soaked off, came in with a $35 gift card and still had to pay close to $20 more dollars (that's including tip). They started to peel by the end of the first week. I probably won't be back unless I have another gift card. read more

I have frequented a different nail salon for many, many years and found the online booking for JK very easy and user friendly. I booked for a mani/pedi, but prior to my appointment changed my mind to just a pedi. I called in and made the change with no issue. The salon has great ambiance and is very bright (well lit with natural light coming in). My tech was very nice and explained the various pedis to me. I was only soaking my left foot for maybe 2 minutes and she started in on manicuring it. I think it should have soaked for a couple more minutes. As she worked on my toes, there were several other customers in chairs and the techs were very giggly, talking very loud, sharing stories that most customers wouldn't care to hear (trips, boyfriends, drinking...etc). I had more conversation with the woman sitting next to me than I did with my tech. I just found the chatting to be loud and obnoxious. I'm not sure if that is the typical atmosphere there, but if it is, it is enough to make me not want to return. The final look was okay. I wasn't over the moon about it...but it could have been my choice in color + sparkles. Although I booked online about 2 weeks prior, I had forgotten who I booked with and if it wasn't for someone else saying her name, I would have never known who she was because she didn't introduce herself. I'm not convinced I will return yet. It is still up in the air. read more

Worst experience! I wanted to try out a new nail salon, and this one seemed reputable. I wasn't able to get into my preferred location (Rossford) because of availability so I settled for the Maumee location. I get at least two mani/pedis a month, so I am no stranger to the experience. The pedi chairs seemed to be outdated, and they used stained towels (gross). I could tell the nail tech had no experience. She was painfully slow, and I had to tell her multiple times how to shape my nails. Her hair was not pulled back and kept brushing my feet (also gross). I just wanted to get out of there. When we moved on to the gel mani, it seemed to be okay at first. Then I kept having to ask her to redo nails that had bubbles. Shouldn't she already know? Upon check out, I informed the clerk about my experience and she offered to have another tech redo my services. However, I had already spent enough time there. I paid, tipped ($77 w/tip) and chalked it up to a bad experience. Fast forward two days later and my gel mani has already started chipping and peeling up around the corners. Mind you, gel manis typically last 2-3 weeks on my nails. Now I'm furious! I emailed the salon to ask for a refund, and their solution was to come back in and have it redone. No thank you. Avoid this place at all costs! read more

Great service, great people. Always enjoy the time I spend at JKNS.

Girls are delightful but my gel manicure broke once, had to make time during the week to go fix it. They said it didn't cure well. Next time it happened again. They said some nail polishes are bad!!! They said they'll give me a free manicure because of what happened. Went for the free manicure, gel broke off again! All breaks within 4 days of having them done. Two out of the 5 times I had a manicure there did my gel stay till I removed it. Unlikely to go back. read more

Awful! I moved to the area 2 years ago, and have had to find new places for hair, nails, brows, massages, etc. My SIL got me a $100 gift card for Jonathan Khoi for Christmas and I was excited to try a new place out. My mother in law & sister in law were going on a cruise and my sister was in town so we decided to get mani / pedis at Jonathan Khoi in Maumee. Big mistake! The girls are nice and the salon doesn't look bad, but we were all very unpleased with our services - especially for what we paid. My nails looked like a toddler did them. My MIL and SIL polish came off that same day, but after they closed, so they couldn't go back and were leaving the following day for vacation, after spending over $120 combined. They asked if I would call and speak to someone. When I called that following day, I spoke with the girl at the front desk and told her what happened and she said someone would call back so my MIL and SIL and myself could possibly get services redone. No one ever called back. Awful service followed by awful customer service. We definitely won't be returning and will take our $ elsewhere! read more
