I came in after a long absence (because the owner is a bit rude and douchy) and I'm glad I did. Bianca did a fantastic job on my pink and white full set. She warned me she had only done a pink and white in school but I decided to take a gamble. They turned out just as well if not better than the pink and white I typically get. She was an absolute peach. The owner is STILL rude and condescending towards his employees which makes it difficult to watch, but the shop is clean with fair pricing and great employees. I hope the owners will learn that the way they treat their employees reflects very poorly on them. Most of the technicians who were there when I went before have left. They did a good job on my toes, however I am always disappointed when it comes to the calf & foot massage part of the pedicure so it's not just them. Would love to be served fresh fruit and frozen margaritas as I do at my favorite spot in Texas but for the sake of just having pretty toes at the end this place certainly does that. read more

Second they were very rude my mother in-law and fiancé were in the car and every timer mother in law came in to inquire about the time they would huff and puff and speak there language after she left after they knew she was with me.... third my fiancé was on the list for a pedi and wasn't sure he wanted one due to the time and the unorganized nail techs. They had canceled his pedi and wanted one and wanted to put him at the end of the list which was ridiculous. I love how my feet look! So clean and soft! Very clean salon.. the guy greeting at the front was a little rude but i'm glad we didn't leave because the man who did my pedicure was so kind ! Michigan is still closed so my cousin and i made the drive to get pedicures. Everyone turned us away except Fancy Nails! In an age where most salons will offer you complimentary beverages... this place will charge you for a can of Coke AND a bag of Fritos. They also absolutely refuse to take any tips on credit card, wish I knew that up front, but oh wait they have an ATM there to offer you as you check out. No thanks, I'm not paying $8 in fees to tip. Oh and a $2.50 charge if your bill is below $25 and you need to charge it. While the technicians were super sweet, yes plural, as I was passed between 3 technicians for one service, the owner left me with a bad impression. Nickel and dime for everything. Good customer service will yield you more profit than the nominal margin you're getting for charging customers for Coke and using a credit card. read more

Absolutely go anywhere but this nail salon. It was the most expensive I have ever paid in over 10 years of getting nail services and it was not even a place I would have been dying to go back to if from this area. I am visiting family from out of town and while they were at work I decided to get my toes done since it was needed. I always do a gel pedicure and just buff on my manicure if I choose to get one. It said a mani pedi is $40 and then gel polish is $15. They did say they charge to take of gel polish, but I decided since the total would be $55 per the price sheet I didn't mind pay for the gel removal (that would be about what I would pay if I waited until I returned home). So I got a gel pedicure, during the buff portion they went too hard and made my big toe bleed cutting my skin at the cuticle. After that was done I got my buff only no polish manicure. At the register they told me it was $80. Not understanding how I argued and then the manager/owner was brought up and told me that it was $55 for the gel pedi, and $15 for a manicure and then the charge to take off my already mostly off gel polish on my toes. Without any other option I paid the $80, also irritated I already tipped $10 in cash. Additionally, it is the only nail salon I have EVER been to that does not include taxes in their prices. They also don't state that on their price sheet. The girl who did my nails was nice enough, but I was also disgusted with the owner/manager or whoever it was that I discussed my pricing issue with. The price itself isn't what upset me as much as the fact that I truly felt taken advantage of and tricked. Me and a friend went to Fancy nails for a gel mani and regular pedi. We had appts and were seated right away. We both liked our manicures but I wasn't very happy with the price. I got a gel mani and a small design (a swoop and a dot) on two nails and the pedicure. My bill was $80. She did explain that the nail art was $5 each nail. My friend got a gel mani and pedi and her bill was $62. I think I may have been overcharged. We probably will go back but I'm not getting nail art and will pay more attention to the services. I've gone here for several years for mani pedi, which is very reasonable price. They seem to have a large overturn of employees, not the friendliest place. You usually have a 15-20 minute wait, but this day, I waited over an hour, not one apology for wait. I don't believe they take appointments,first come first serve. LfI was very disappointed with my last visit. I went in for a gell manicure, which I've had several. The girl removed my gell nail polish, then applied new color. When it came time to pay, she wrote a receipt up, but when I told a had $10 off coupon, she changed my bill., and charged me $5 for nail polish removal. I had never been charged for this service before, it was always include for gell service.The price is always $25. I had $20 on me. So $25-$10=$15+tax and tip. $20 would have covered, but with extra $5, my bill was,$24.60.now.. I was told too, I would be charged extra on my credit card, that I forced to use. Since service was less then $25, I was charged additional fees! So much for reasonable price. The owner son, who is about 13-15 years old was also riding up and down work area on a hover board, which was an accident waiting to happen. I will not be returning back here. read more

Staff is super rude. Unprofessional. I called while I was in the parking lot and asked what time were they done taking customers. They told me 6:30. I got out my car exactly at 5:55 and walked right in. All of a sudden they are short staffed and can't service me. All I wanted was a polish change, something simple and quick. Only reason I'm even giving this place 3 stars is because Bianca is a beast at acrylics ( so if u go here I recommend Bianca, shes the only one who's done my nails good there (and they are amazing so thanks if u see this Bianca)). I've had my nails done several times here. Anyone other the Bianca who has did my nails has done very poorly. Once they popped off within 3 days. The owner and his wife ARE EXTREMELY RUDE. Take my advice and do not get your nails done here. Over priced and absolutely the worst customer service I have experienced at a nail salon. I waited for over an hour to get my nails done which I expected but then I was kicked out when it was my turn. I waited and initially put a full set. I decided maybe 5 minutes later to get a pedicure done, mind you I still had to wait an hour to get anything done. When i said i wanted a pedicure a boy of maybe 18 years told me i needed to think what i wanted to do and his tone was practically yelling. I originally said I wanted ombré but changed my mind because it was going to be $65 on top of my nails being charged $5 anything longer than my natural nails and the$5 shape. I chose just a nude color but it was taking me a about 2 minutes to decide. The lady walked away for 15 minutes so I just sat there and waited in order to be non confrontational. The lady came back upset to tell me it was taking me too long and that I needed to leave because they don't have the color I wanted or the time for me, when I had already decided and waited at that point 1 1/2. I went here a couple months ago for a full set of acryllics. I had my nails done for four years straight. My normal nail tech decided to pursue a different career so I took about a year off from getting my nails done. The lady that did my nails here, the owners wife, did a terrible job! She seemed in a complete hurry. Was talking to her husband the entire time. Just threw the acryllic on over my cuticles and everything. Then when she brought out the drill and tore up my cuticles trying to get the acryllic off. By the time I left I have four cuticles that would not stop bleeding. And get this... she blamed me. Fancy nails in Holland Ohio has an extreme need of customer service classes on how to rectify a situation when an unintentional mistake occurs. If you want gel polish at $25 by their signage KNOW that is will cost you almost $40 bc they soaked your nails and rubbed your hands. Also know that if the gel color you picked is clumpy and they don't have anymore of the same color that they will paint OVER it and onto your cuticle so that when the lamp is applied the gel will shrink and pull the very tender skin making it very painful. When we went to have this corrected not only were we met with zero ability of the employee to help correct the situation but told "maybe you should have called". Sitting there stunned I turned to my daughter and said I guess it's your fault. The employee overheard my whispering to my daughter and started yelling at us. Literally yelling causing the entire establishment to gawk at us. We walked out and called the owner probably four times bf we were able to speak with him. He too said we should have called sooner and didn't even address the issue of the abrasive employee. No apology of any kind and said he would correct it for half price but no refund of any kind. If you go to a restaurant and they mess up your food....do they charge you more?? Or offer to cook a half a burger to correct it? read more

This was the best experience getting my nails done!! There were 2 ladies in front of me, but I was seated in 30 min. I had a wonderfully funny girl who's name started with T. (Sorry my memory is horrible with names) She kept me cracking up the whole time she prepped the full set. Then a gentleman finished the acrylics and polish job. He was pleasant as well with conversation. All in all I was there just over 1.5 hrs but the time flew by and the cost was more than reasonable. I will always go here to get my nails done!! I was in the salon today and this woman comes in to have her pedi redone because she was just here a couple days ago and it chipped. They couldn't find the same polish for her so instead of redoing it they started painting her toes with a darker color over her polish she already had!!! It looked ridiculous. She had 5 coats of polish on her toes and they told her to let it dry for 24 hours, is she not supposed to go to bed tonight? The woman started getting upset and instead of the manager offering to redo the pedi the RIGHT way he continued to argue with her then got one of the girls doing nails who got in the customers face. I was in with a friend about a week ago (who's nails are still in perfect condition), the twenty fifth. I don't live in/close to Toledo, I live 30+ minuets away.. so on arrival, I stared off by choosing an olive color (gel) which got switched halfway through my manicure due to the fact that the polish was clumpy and not working right. She ended up putting a blue over the olive which made my nails peel off after a short three days. She should have just started over and put the blue on my fresh nails, or asked what other color I wanted. Don't get me wrong, this lady was very nice & very friendly. She cannot help that she works in such an awful nail salon. Anyway, not only did my nail polish peel off after three days, they hurt my fingers. She put the gel on my cuticles and skin, then told me to put them in the light, the light that shrinks the gel polish onto the nails. So this polish was pulling my skin and really hurting. For the next couple days after getting my nails done, I had to work and my dad had surgery, so the last thing on my mind was calling or coming back in. I paid $40 for this "service". When I came back in (at noon) and explained what happened, and showed them pictures, a women named Pon yelled at my mother and I.. in front of other customers. . She then told us there is nothing she can do because the owner wasn't in. We asked her not to yell which only made her louder. She blamed me and told me I should have called back so that the owner wrote my name down and had my information. After trying to call for 4 hours, I finally got ahold of the owner who told me there's nothing he can do to help me. He changes his mind and tells me he will redo my nails but I still have to pay $15.. I asked why I had to pay for their mistake? He tells me he has other customers and he will call me back. Three hours go by and we were ready to go home, but no call. So we decided to just stop in on the way home and try to get something figured out. When we walked in, the owner (Tyler) said he didn't tell me to come in today, and laughed in my face like I was dumb for coming in. I will never come back here because they were so rude! And honestly, the service you pay for, verses the service you get - it doesn't add up. I'd be better off buying a light and gel polish and painting my own nails.
