How many times do you have to tell a stylist that you only want your neck and around your ears done…read moreand that's it (Something that should take less than 5 minutes to do)? Apparently 4 times is not enough. There's the old adage "you get what you pay for" and that holds true for this Great Clips. I usually get my hair cut at a bigger name salon, but since I was growing my hair out - from time to time I need my neck cleaned up and a little cut around my ears. That's all I went in for, and they messed that up. I should have asked my roommate. I told the stylist 4 times that I wanted my neck done and I was growing out my hair. First time was at the computer, second was when I first sat down, third time was a leading question when I asked if she was cutting too much?, fourth was when I told her again after I felt she was cutting too much that I just needed my neck because I was growing my hair. I went in just for a neck trim (something they charge $5 for), but got a lot more than that cut in the back where I couldn't see. When I could see how much she was cutting as she was making her way around the side, I questioned her. She proceeded to charge me $12, when I questioned it she blamed it on "miscommunication" and charged me $9 saying that "we should split the difference." I was shocked that she just made a deal with me over a mistake that never should have happened. I didn't want to make a big deal as the lobby was full and some poor soul had to go with her next, so I paid and left for her sake. Do not go to THIS location. I'm sure not all of them are bad. Here is where you'll get a lot more than what you paid for - and not in a good way. I've never given 1-star before, but I figure the first 4 were taken away each time I told the stylist that I only wanted a neck and ear trim.

I am a blonde and wanted to do low-lights for my hair. Decided to try them myself at home with…read morefoils, so I stopped into this Sallys at spring meadows. I've never done low-lights myself so I naturally asked for advice for the tone/shade that might work for my hair. VERY LITTLE GUIDANCE GIVEN. The girl with the long brown hair and glasses was very hands off and seemed like she couldn't care less and seemed like I was bothering her. So I MISTAKENLY bought a medium Brown ash with a 10 developer. HUGE MISTAKE! Instead of doing the low lights I did my whole head to get back to my natural root color and now my hair was GRAY and I'm only 29. I went back the next day and I asked them how could I fix this problem. I asked them if I could just dye right over it and they said yes and suggested some warmer, golden blonde/Brown to adjust the gray. I tried that and now my hair is GREEN. They never mentioned to me that an ASH has GREEN undertones to it (after doing my own research). I wanted to give them one last chance and by then with GREEN HAIR all they advised me to do was see a salon at that point. I took a day off work because I was soo embarrassed. I finally fixed it with 2 boxes of color oops and thank God I'm normal again! My final advise here...don't come into Sallys asking for advise because they clearly have no idea how to help woman with hair advise/issues. These girls just specialize is retail, not hair. THANKS ALOT UGH. Never shopping there again.

They have the biggest turn over and anybody they hire does not know the products what they do or…read morehow to use them. They are stockers and cash register attendants. Awful. And sad too because after several trips there spending money to manage my hair color I had to go to a professional to solve my problems, What a scam.
