She took her time to discuss my hair goals, needs and expectations. The parking lot is rather small and they still make you call in to announce your arrival to see if they can allow you in. Even though they gloat over this state of the art air purifier that supposedly clear airborne viruses and other unsavory things ‍ They are definitely overpriced on many of their services.

She is racist as well there was a stylist there that was black and she made comments about how they don't belong. Also, she cut my son's hair once and I'd never let her cut anyone's hair again. The salon also needs some upkeep. It's nice on surface but you do a lot of looking around when you get your hair done and you notice the lack of upkeep. I had never had my makeup done professionally before, and was dreading it because my 30-year-old face decided to remind me what it felt like to be a teenager. I was covered in blemishes for the first time in years, and so embarrassed. Dori put me at ease, had a great sense of humor, and was so sweet and pleasant about all the little adjustments I wanted her to make to my makeup and hair. Considering I didn't show up with a picture of the look I was going for, she had me looking fabulous. I would highly recommend her for hair, as well as skin, especially if you have problem skin and want it to look photo-ready. I never let people see me without makeup but she put me at ease. My nails were a different story :(. The nail tech only used two coats of a black nail polish--once I got to my car I noticed the coat was transparent and blotchy, and both OPI colors I had on my nails peeled off by dinner.

Will definitely start coming here Regularly. My mother in law had her hair done by Lauren and was super good with elderly people and she really liked her hair when it was finished. Maggie suggested a shower head filter for our hard water problem and we ordered one that night and has made all the difference. The place on the outside isn't much but is very cute inside. I drove from Saline MI, Columbus OH, so driving from Southfield isn't as far. Finding someone that understands that you just want a trim doesn't mean take inches off the back is harder than you think. Leslie knows how I like my hair and makes it happen. My hair is a little weirder than normal since I am half Cherokee. Leslie understands it. Her prices is more than fair, but she has always been busy with regulars, but now only able to work 3 days a week because of social distancing needed to keep everyone safe. She takes caring customer service seriously. Mask, cleaning station completely between customers. I was allowed to stay put while waiting for the color to set. Hair wash bowls usage is also spaced. While the salon has disposable masks for you to use if you don't have one or like me getting a color so it won't get on my own, I saw another customer no wearing a mask while being worked on by another stylist who even took his off. Lets hope the other stylists will get their act together since they can spread the coronavirus working so close. I took a star off for that. It is a community health issue not any thing else. Already got my next appointment booked. Will be back for Leslie to do her magic. EBS always loved how my hair looked since I always get it blow dried and that makes it even longer. The exterior of the building itself is stunning and the ambiance inside immediately gives off a relaxing spa vibe. With light hardwood floors and windows throughout, the salon is clean, open and inviting. My hair stylist is Megan Kimmerly and she is phenomenal! Megan listens and is extremely professional with excellent insight into how to achieve the desired color and cut. She does my highlights, lowlights and Keratin treatments, in addition to cut and style.. While I've had some disappointing experiences elsewhere, I feel no stress at all with Megan. I trust her judgment and know I'm in good hands. She is also very efficient with her time and extremely pleasant as a person. I'm so grateful that I found her! I have also observed that other stylists at this salon conduct themselves in a professional manner and have admired the hair results of their clients. While I understand that spa services such as facials and mani-pedis are offered, I have not tried them though it is a lovely environment for a day spa. The ambiance is very classy yet comfortable.
