I went here with some relatives recently and we really enjoyed it. The food is pretty good. The appetizers i tried were bam bam shrimp and pizza rolls. The shrimp was pretty tasty and the pizza rolls were pretty good. I got the chicken tenders and fries. The fries were ok, they weren't bad. The chicken tenders were good. Our waiter was really nice and did a good job. One weird thing is that someone forgot to put silverware on our table, we asked our waiter and they got us some. The inside was nice and had some dim lighting, but it was loud in there and there were a few moments where it was hard to hear people talk. Our waitress was great and accommodating, however the food was subpar at best. Bam bam egg rolls were soggy with maybe 3 pieces of shrimp in the entire dish. We hadn't been here in a while but decided to drop by on July 4th. The food was delicious! I had the new Mediterranean bowl with grilled chicken. Husband had shrimp linguine. Both were cooked well and very tasty. Husband's side salad was fresh too. Jonathan's Grill is nice in that they have good service, decent food, and drinks. The hours are also nice, where many restaurants are closed on Sunday/Monday (never understood this), Jonathan's has late hours. The main reason I avoid going to Jonathan's is this new 3% fee they sneak onto the bill if you use a credit or debit card. Not cool and pretty sneaky. Very pleased with the food and service! There were plenty of tv's playing the Sunday night football games but they were not so overbearing that you couldn't still carry out a conversation. This is a customer service Response to the lack of customer service by the staff upon my visit.. The food and drinks were fantastic no complaints whatsoever there not a recommending you go else where just things that have got to be addressed and fixed... with that said... Mediocre service waited a while for a server... When seated the floor under the table was absolutely disgusting with who know how many people scraps under the table .. asked the person who sat us to clean under the table i got an eye roll....WTF... also came in with my wife who has a service dog and was told to be seated out side we don't allow dogs... we said like hell you don't she is a service animal the response was " oh... sorry i don't see that"..... look Jonathan's Restaurant management it's your job to First hire competent people second to make sure they are educated for the job they perform... i assume you expect that from your chef... continue the same logic elsewhere...thanks read more

We love Jonathan's, have been eating here for years. Food is good. Service is good. Atmosphere is good. BUT they started charging a 3% transaction fee for non cash purchase. Doesn't matter if it's a debit or credit card. This will factor into our decision of where we eat in the future. read more

I went there for dinner twice had the buffalo Mac and cheese dinner and it was delicious both times. The side salad was on point both times and the service was good. The waiter/server had a poor attitude the first time I went to Johnathans but the next two experiences had great service. The buffalo mac and cheese was so good the first time I had to get it a second time and was not disappointed Bravo for consistency. The third time I went to Johnathan's I had the fish and chips and it was on point. While the Mac and cheese was a bit pricey the fish and chips was tasty and a fair price for a delicious meal. They will cook the fish anyway you want it and sub out the French fries with any of their sides This restaurant is clean and not overly crowded the bar is separate from the dining and did I mention clean! I can't stand chain restaurants the lack quality food and consistency. Johnathan's is a step above the rest and has to be one of the best restaurants I've experienced anywhere let alone Tennessee, especially the Spring Hill, Columbia area in fact my experience at Jonathans makes it on my all time favorite list. Jonathan's food is great for your typical American restaurant/sports bar however the service leaves much to be desired. I had an extended stay at the hotel next door so I ate at Jonathan's quite often. The staff has never once been friendly to me whether I sat down to eat or picked up takeout. While picking up takeout, sometimes I would stand at the bar for 10-15 minutes while the bartenders ignored me and I could see my bag of food sitting ready behind the bar. That said, I tried a lot of their food and I recommend the chicken nachos, salmon spinach salad, bang bang shrimp, and pizza. read more

Can't say enough bad about this place. Six working days later and still no reply from the owners after I sent an email. After dining with a group: My bill came to $5.49 and I paid with a $10.00 bill. The waitress asked "Do you want change?" I answered that I did, but thought it presumptuous of her to assume I owed her a tip equivalent to the cost of my meal -but that is not the point -the point is she felt automatically entitled to a tip rather than earning a tip. When it came time to pay, the waitress collected my money and two or three credit cards from others in our group and that collection of credit cards payments was repeated two or three more times - each time returning to the table to give receipts and return credit cards and gathering a few more cards until all transactions had been complete. However, my change of $4.51 hadn't arrived and I reminded the waitress not to forget my change. She returned with four $1 bills, no coins and no receipt. When leaving I asked the waitress why the fifty-one cents was not returned and was told, "We don't usually give change." I don't remember if she offered to get it for me or if I asked for it since I was stunned. I expected my change to be returned in total and do not wish the server to be so presumptuous to ask if I even wanted my change back. Several diners grumbled about the 3% convenience fee, because they were only made aware of it after the bill was delivered. Jonathan's Grille is taking advantage of a tool to bring in customers. They have chosen this option to use a credit card and the customer should not be incumbent to pay for their decision. As they are expanding to other states, it seems they are not hurting financially that the convenience fee need be in place. I sense they are aware of the deception otherwise 3% "convenience fee" after the bill is given to the customer. An honest way of dealing with this is to post a sign at the hostess stand that there is a 3% fee if using a credit card. Also, they could deduct 3% fee from the meal rom cash paying customers, since cash paying customers receive no benefit. Whether or not Jonathan's Grille has a policy of not returning change and preemptively asking customers if they want their change - well I can't even find the words except greedy and deceptive customer service. Had I not asked for my change, I don't think I would have received it. I am assuming my bill was cashed out and the server kept the $4.51 in change for her tip which is why I did not receive a receipt and had to ask for my change after all transactions were completed at my table. This may not be the case, but it is what it appeared to have happened. I telephoned the restaurant the following day and spoke with manager Candice who was understanding and concerned. She asked the name of waitress which would have been on the receipt, but again, I only received a bill which I returned with payment and after receiving the the partial change of 4 $1 bills, I did not get a receipt. My guess is I am not the first customer who has been stiffed of their change - whether this is a policy or Jonathan's Grille or ignored, there is a problem if servers are getting away with it and customers generally too embarrassed to look cheap or create an awkward scene which Jonathan's Grille may be banking on. read more

Service was fast and friendly. Food was delicious. Cocktail menu was lacking but as li g as you know what is in the drink you want they make a good drink. Tried the boom boom egg rolls for an appetizer they were crispy and had a great flavor profile. My hubby had the bistro burger and enjoyed it along with onion rings even ask for the boom boom sauce to dip he onion rings in. I had the perfect prime seasoning and taste were good could have used a little more horseradish in the sauce to kick the spice up just a bit but the mushrooms peppers and onions helped with adding depth to the flavor. My husband had a cocktail from their menu The Elvis banana and peanut butter not my thing but he enjoyed it. I chose to stay with a crown apple with cranberry and sprite which hit the spot. This place used to be a lot of fun but lately it seems like it's been getting worse and tonight while watching the football game after I eat my fish and chips which were OK. I kind of wanted some dessert so I ordered a small piece of cake and ice cream. I didn't ask how much it was going to be for that, I just figured no big deal you should maybe be five or six bucks they charge me $15 for a piece of cake a little piece of cake I don't know if it's it wasn't even on the menu so I don't know if it's just the bartender or if that's what they really charge I'll never order cake from that place anymore. It's what you want from a sports bar: ----------------------------------------------- 1. TV's up the ying-yang. From any angle, you can see every game. There's about 1017 TV's -- I counted'em. ;-) 2. Large menu with salads, burgers, pizzas, and all kinds of appetizers. 3. Beer. Lots of drafts and bottles. 2 for 1 during Sunday games. What I got: -------------- 1. Boneless Buffalo Wings -- tasty, but I the portion is way too small for the value. ($5.99. 3.5 stars) 2. Chicken Tostada Salad -- worthy. Nice portion, delicious chicken atop of a very good salad. Jonathan's is usually my go to place for a consistent meal. I strongly suggest that you don't go and order a specialty item. Tuesday is buy one medium pizza and get a second no charge. Also servers did not seem to remember who ordered what. Quality and quantity of food was great. I love when I can find a great restaurant that takes allergies seriously, especially while traveling. Jonathan's menu clearly labels food that is GF and the waitress was very knowledgable as well. We started with an appetizer of nachos and that plate didn't last long - so yummy! It's not often I can enjoy nachos at a restaurant because many places fry their own chips and it's in the same fryer as flour tortillas... so when I find a gluten free option for nachos you can believe I'm all over it! My spinach salmon salad was cooked perfectly through, blackened with seasonings that were just right, and fresh crisp spinach for the base. I'll also note it was 2-for-1 on the drinks when we were there so they brought out two Angry Orchard ciders when I had only ordered one, so that was a nice surprise. Only wish it could have been spaced out to receive the second one a bit through dinner so it would have been cold still. All in all, great restaurant, incredibly busy on a Wednesday evening, trivia night was happening too, but wait staff was prompt and kept checking in to keep things moving along. Thanks Jonathan's! Came and sat in the bar waited for about 10 minutes for the waitress to come by and told us she'd be back shortly, when she finally came back and I asked for a coke, she asked for my ID , none of us got alcohol and she then after about 15 minutes of us sitting there asked us all for our ID's. Totally understand when you sit in the bar area you have to be 21 but I just wish she wouldn't have came to us and asked us for our drinks before asking us to leave the bar area. Jonathan's has good sandwiches and pizza, among other things on the menu... But, we were very disappointed when we recently dined here... The menu has changed, ugh... It's frustrating when you go to a local restaurant and expect to get your favorite thing you usually order, but it is no longer on the "new" menu... It made us regret choosing to dine there verses going to other places in the community we considered... Jonathan's used to have one of the best Rubens around and delicious Crab Bisque, both of which have been removed from the menu... The food is already overpriced, but I willing to pay whatever for those items... Now, it's questionable whether I'll go back... Out of anger, I will not be returning for awhile... The neighboring establishment (that offers great lunch deals and has similar items) will be getting my money. read more
