Stay away from this guy. I found Jonathan on Yahoo yellowpages and found no reviews for him. Still I decided to give him a try, bad mistake. My computer kept getting blue screens and crashing so i called him and explained the situation. He's nice enough, and he came out to my home which was pretty convenient. He seemed really profesional and kept talking about all the experience he had (he's an older guy), so I felt confident. He took my laptop with him to evaluate it (I told him I was pretty sure I had a hardware problem, and he said he would give it a very thorough examination). He called me back a few hours and said I had a virus, that was my problem, and he had to wipe my hard drive. I told him that was fine. When I got my computer back he had installed pirated versions of MS Office which he said would work fine, a weird anti-virus which he said was the "best there is", and Seamonkey as an internet browser (which sucks). I'm a huge ludite when it comes to that stuff so I took him at his word. He charged me $120 for the service. It worked ok for about eight days, then it started crashing worse than before. He said I must have gotten it infected again and he had to wipe the hard drive all over and repeat the process. Like a moron I shelled out another $120 (not my proudest momment). He took about a week to get it back to me. He said it would now be in perfect order. Well about a week later, it starts crashing again. I was pretty frustrated. I called him and he said that it must have been something I did. I ended up taking my laptop to a really good pc repair guy that works out of the Postnet in the area. He took a few hours to determine my problem was hardware (bad memmory). He charged me $80 for labor and whatever the memmory I wanted costs. When I told him what happened with Jonathan he said the guy was "at best inept at diagnosing simple problems, or at worst a shyster". Happy to say my computer is finally fixed. Stay away from Jonathan's Computers, you'll be glad you did. read more
